Consumer Complaint: Thank you in advance for your attention in resolving unfair practices with Selected Portfolio Servicing. As of today XX/XX/2021, I have been denied a forbearance or a reasonable loan modification. SPS is not being helpful during the Covid 19 crisis. I asked for a forbearance and instead they offered a modification with a 3 month trial period. Not knowing what they were going to come back with till after a 3 month trial period. I was shocked to see the unreasonable & unheard proposed terms. It sounds like a major rip off. They have to stop ripping us off. I used to work in mortgage lending and currently a Notary Signing Agent and I do not see these types of terms they want us to agree to! This is a second loan. 6 months unpaid mortgage payments equal to a total of {$3500.00} with fees which I still need to review but it is less then $ XXXX. XXXX Months of XXXX ) Modification trial periodXXXX Paid {$360.00} each month and on XXXXas well. Proposed Modification received XX/XX/2021 New payment {$360.00} which may adjust. New Maturity date XXXX, will add 14 years. Current Maturity date XXXX. Final ballon payment on the interest bearing principal balance of {$34000.00} is due on the XXXX Date. Yes XXXX XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Amortization Term XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Basically 40 years. We owe less than $ 5k and they want to charge over $ 50k. Includes the ballon payment and the difference in the new maturity date. Sounds like a rip off to me! We have no problem keeping the same monthly amount of {$580.00} & extending the term by 6 months or even 1 year like we did with our 1st mortgage with no problem. If they want to call it a Forbearance or a Modification it's ok. What's not ok, they tell us it is their investors choice. They don't disclose who the investor is and we have the right to know this as well. Hope you are able to help us and other upcoming customers with the same issue. Consumer Complaint: I filed a complaint on Select Portfolio Servicing in XXXX of XXXX because I was not receiving my monthly statements on time. In XXXX I received my monthly statement on XX/XX/XXXX and in XXXX I received my monthly statement on XX/XX/XXXX. I called and complained, I did finally receive copies, but the font size was so small it was unreadable. After I filled a complaint my credit score went down 76 points. I did not choose Select Portfolio Servicing Inc., XXXX XXXX sold my loan to Select Portfolio Servicing. The complaints I have have read on this company is a tell, tell sign of what I am experiencing. When I called in XXXX a customer service rep. told me that XXXX XXXX owns my loan. I have not been able to confirm that.

I was informed by representatives that select portfolio that XXXX XXXX pay my sewer bill in XXXX, I contact XXXX XXXX and they denied paying any of my sewer bills. I continuously converse with portfolio select and story change that they pay my sewer bill XXXX plus tax XX/XX/XXXX? I questioned and denied the payments. I contact my sewer department in XXXX XXXX n.j to request evidence of my sewer payments and who payed them, I received evidence that I the homeowner payed all my sewer bills dated XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX I payed all my payments in person or thru bill pay from my bank acct. I scan all my documents to to select portfolio, and received confirmation all documents was received to my acct XX/XX/XXXX. I was informed that maybe due to my age I forgot? No I am retired law enforcement who believes in documentation and paper trails. Then one representative told me maybe my municipality kept the check portfolio mailed in for my sewer bill in XXXX? Please help me! Portfolio is not listening to me the consumer and plus I am senior citizen. No one should be treated this way!

Consumer Complaint: I have written and talked with my school loan lenders over the past year with no avail however, after further review of my three credit reports, I have found them all to be two to three years old, and my financial balances are totally incorrect. Unfortunately I have five lenders who have not updated any of my financial information to the credit bureaus. Consumer Complaint: Originally I was unable to pay my mortgage payments ( about 6 years ago, XXXX when " Obama care '' started, I was unable to bill insurance for massage, my sole income ) and stopped paying. This went on for an extended length of time and I did not know why the bank hadn't foreclosed. I hired a real estate attorney and pursued, the first time in cort my attorney learned that the bank " couldn't prove ownership '' this was somehow " fixed '' and I was approved for a repayment plan and in compliance when my home was sold at foreclosure sale 2 times. The first time, after unsuccessfully attempting to stop the sale, XXXX XXXX, holder of the mortgage went to the sale and bought the home. approx. date ; XXXX XXXX. Just over a year later as I continued the repayment plan, the home sold again. My attorney 's firm ( XXXX XXXX ) and XXXX XXXX attempted to stop the sale, unsuccessfully and were also unable to reverse the sale. XXXX XXXX XXXX, the judge told the bank " pay the buyer his money back ( buyer, at that time was in agreement ) modify the loan and give the home back to mr. XXXX. The bank replied " why doesn't Mr XXXX just pay the buyer '' my attorney replied if mr XXXX didn't need a bank, we would not be here. The judge then said 'the attorneys need to figure out who's going to pay the buyer and come back to court. approx three months later, in court, the bank still hadn't paid. XXXX XXXX asked for ( and was granted ) 150 days more to continue negotiations These days will end in XX/XX/XXXX during this time, the attorneys for XXXX XXXX have ceased to follow up wile offering " any assistance '' they sent me all information on my case and encouraged me to get another firm to file lawsuit. I've called the ombudsman department for the mortgage servicer, SPS, and after reviewing my ( now closed ) account, they agreed there is a problem " the house was sold although I was up to date and in compliance with the repayment agreement " but they couldn't go any further as XXXXthe next step is between me and the bank '. I am presently awaiting information via hard mail of the conversation from the ombudsman dep. Although my attorney was clear ( before he left XXXX XXXX ) '' if I sue the bank, I stand a good chance of gaining an astronomical amount of money "

Consumer Complaint: I have applied for a loan modification or loan deferment on my mortgage as my income has been impacted by COVID19 on XX/XX/XXXX with Select Portfolio Servicing Inc. They have requested documentation of which I have provided. I keep getting the run around from different customer service reps, asking for random documentations, bank statements utility bills, and tax returns. I have complied with all their requests. They continue to have me re-apply, direct me to their website, which locks me out. Taking me out of a program and switching to other loss mitigation programs. This has taken a toll on my XXXX Also, I was told that because I am in their forbearance program, I would not be reported late. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I called to follow up, and now they tell me they need more information. I am currently going through a divorce. They asked me for a copy of my soon to be ex husbands profit and loss statement, which I provided in XXXX. They said that is all they needed. Now they are asking fo a divorce decree. Each month they always say that is all that is needed, but they keep dragging the process out month after month. This has taken a toll on my XXXX and now they said they are reporting me late. I have always furnished every document they have asked for in the last 7 months, and would like a resolution. Please please help me!!!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, the mortgage company that holds my mortgage Select Portfolio Servicing withdrew via checking account XXXX without my verbal consent. I immediately contacted the company to ask them to expedite the claim to return the funds back into my checking account. As a result of their error, my account was overdrawn more than {$500.00} dollars. This occurred during a snowstorm and I have two children. I had other bills scheduled to be paid that could not be processed. This caused so much stress, irritation, and frustration. I called the company several times on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. To no avail did they give me an exact date as to when my funds would be available refunded. Every time I spoke to a representative from Select Portfolio Servicing they provided conflicting information about the process for refunding the funds and could not provide a definitive timeline.
