Consumer Complaint: The Company is SELECT PORTFOLIO, Because of a mixture of problems being unemployed then getting my job back, my job took away my salary away and now I work on XXXX XXXX XXXX and I XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, so XXXX are not that happy about XXXX XXXX XXXX because of COVID, SPS put me on a Forbearance program and had told me that I would be able to make it up at the end of the loan. They now want me to start making it up in XXXX of this year my payment went from {$3300.00} to {$4400.00} starting in XXXX, I'm XXXX and besides my job income is right now at $ XXXX {$40000.00} maybe a month. The thing is they had said all along they would put this {$19000.00} at the end of my loan and they totally changed the rules and I will lose my house. I entered this program so they would balloon my payments to the back of the loan. And now I'm in the situation above. This is predatory and the lender is trying to get me to possibly do some sort of modification by bumping up my payment so I am hurt and can't make my payments

Consumer Complaint: My home equity line of credit was transferred from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX to Select Portfolio Servicing. My first statement from Select Portfolio was dated XX/XX/XXXX how ever I did not receive the statement until Mid. XXXX XXXX. The payment requested is {$450.00} higher than my payments have been for the last nine years. I have made six calls to select servicing regarding this issue with no avail. Today I was informed they are " working on the issue ''. I am in the mortgage business myself. I am fully aware of the guidelines regarding loan transfers and servicing. XXXX XXXX will be the 60th which means they will be able to report me as delinquent. I value my credit an do not want their error to tarnish it! I am at a loss and hope you can help. thank you

Consumer Complaint: I was forced to close my sign store due to the XXXX Pandemic. In XX/XX/2020 I was diagnosed with XXXX and was hospitalized for a month. During this time I applied for a forbearance plan and was told that my investor did not participate. I don't know who my investor is but the world is in a pandemic and my investor does not want to help. Now, I have recovered and back to work and would like to start making my mortgage payment again but the lender is refusing to take payments. I applied for loan modification and or deferment and was denied, they did not give me a reason why I was denied.

Consumer Complaint: I currently have SPS Servicing as my mortgage company. At the beginning of two years ago, my husband was diagnosed with a XXXX and has not worked in 4 years. I have applied several times for a modification due to my household income reduction. I was denied, so I continued to struggle and make payments. Later COVID-19 happened, I was only one month behind I did a forbearance for Covid relief. Before I agreed I asked would I be required to repay all at once and I was told no on a recorded line. After the 3 months was up they told me to submit and appliactaion for repayment plan. They denied the application saying the status of the loan??? I feel I have been wrongly and unfairly treated by this company. Please help!!

Consumer Complaint: This is my more than 15th complaint against Select Portfolio Servicing ( SPS ). I always get same answers without fixing any root problem. SPS never sent mortgage statement within a month, so that I can pay properly on time. SPS is doing this, so that I can not pay the actual amount on time, so they move to foreclose. This is not my complaint. I have talked many homeowners and this is SPS 's patented strategy to foreclose home illegally I still have NOT received Tax Information of 2020 from SPS. SPS harassing me every month for full and entire mortgage payment. SPS is engaged in privacy violations. cc. XXXX of California

Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Consumer Complaint: This mortgage account was paid off and closed on XX/XX/2018. I have received a letter stating this from Select Portfolio Servicing ( attached ). However, SPS continues to report a balance of {$570000.00} to each of the Credit Reporting Agencies. I have submitted multiple requests in writing and by phone to fix this but they say they can't change their records. Section 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) of the FCRA says " The FCRA prohibits information providers from providing information to a CRA that they know or have reasonable cause to believe is inaccurate. '' Further, section 623 ( a ) ( 2 ) says " ... the furnisher must promptly provide complete and accurate information to the CRA ... and must thereafter report only complete and accurate information. '' My lawyer says the next course of action is to file a lawsuit to obtain a court order for correction, plus compensatory and possibly punitive damages. I look forward to a positive response from SPS.

Consumer Complaint: On recorded phone calls ; I was given different pay off balance amounts of a {$0.00} balance in the XXXX of XXXX on several occasions when I spoke to the Select Portfolio Servicing representatives. I was also told on several occasions that my balance would be {$60000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. Then I was provide in XXXX that I would have to refinance or get a new loan of {$200000.00} in XXXX of XXXX. Some of the representatives that I spoke to were argumentative that they were right and I was wrong and if I was provided misleading information on the mistake of a representative that was most likely fired. I requested to hear or have someone in management review these recorded calls where I was provided misleading information regarding the alleged loan balance the I felt was paid off. I was denied of these requests for review of all of the recorded calls of the misleading information over the years that I made on time monthly payments to Select Portfolio Servicing, LLC. I also requested information on who is the owner of the alleged {$200000.00} note that Select Portfolio Servicing which I learned it was a part of MERS. During my research I learned this note was a part of the robo signing scandal where the chain of title was broken from whom the actually is the note holder. Furthermore, I had an official secularization audit down on the loan for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, IN XXXX that highlighted the loan was securitized and paid off. I am disputing the amount of the payoff of {$200000.00} has I had to sell my house in XXXX as of a result of not being able to refinance to payoff the alleged {$200000.00} balance.

Consumer Complaint: I have Asserted my FDCPA rights by previously filing complaints requesting SELECT PORTFOLIO SERVICES, INC to provide validation reference account number : XXXX. I acknowledge receipt of their latest correspondence which was dated XX/XX/2020. In their correspondence they listed information regarding a trustee, mortgage back notes and a servicer and also stated that ownership status may change from time to time however they provided no evidence of chain of title, authorization to service new owners etc From their correspondence : It is unclear if I was granted a mortgage because a trustee is involved It is unclear if this is a mortgage because mortgage back notes fall under securities and any note that has a maturity that exceeds 9 months becomes a security which is security fraud on the face of it Furthermore, when my signature went on the paper, it became wagering money and wagering money contract has to be settled at the end of 3 years SELECT PORTFOLIO SERVICES, INC never responded to the request of validation.
