Consumer Complaint: PayPal closed my account for no reason and will not help me with getting it back up and going. I am not sure if this is some mistake as I assume it has to be. I have not been able to get help from them for days now but I just remembered I could file a report on here as I feel they are not doing their job properly and it is effecting me a great deal as I used PayPal quite frequently. I am using PayPal for selling bitcoins and that's totally legal thing to do. I didnt do anything wrong. I am just trying to earn extra because my husband was just diagnosed with XXXX XXXX. I did provide all documentation they need yet they provided me an info that I am under age even if I'm already XXXX years old. And now they are holding my money which I badly need for XXXX of my husband. My email linked to my PayPal is XXXX. Please help me on this. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: Venmo has no real way to have consumer contact them. The phone number is defective as they do not receive phone calls. The Chat is a bot that deliberately and willfully prevents real contact with Venmo, allowing it to not have to respond to losses due to their neglect and is an unjust enrichment for Venmo. Today I lost over XXXX and I have no way of even contacting Venmo.

Consumer Complaint: OnXX/XX/2021I was notified by PayPal that they we no longer offering services to me as I had violated one of their regulations. I had no idea I was in any violation, they accepted payments for goods I sold, made me ship and wait on confirmation of delivery, wait an additional 24 hours, then found another excuse to hold my funds. They have permanently suspended my account. There is over {$640.00} in the account that they are not releasing. Their exact words were to do what I have to do to collect my funds. I have no access to the funds, the product has all been shipped out and received and now I have no funds for the product. I am reaching out to you guys to aid in coming to a resolution.

I've had my PayPal " preferred '' payment method as my credit card for years, yet somehow they keep defaulting it back to my debit card as the payment method. My monthly XXXX just came out and surprise surprise, it came out of my debit card even though that isn't my preferred payment method ( and never has been ). This happens repeatedly with PayPal ... ... .it 's no doubt a UDAAP violation as they do not want to pay credit card fees, so they default to debit cards you have on account on a regular basis. It's deceptive and they have been doing this for years.

Consumer Complaint: Starting in XXXX I tried to make aXXXX XXXX purchase using my XXXX XXXX credit card on XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX. The order went through XXXX however there was no email confirmation because paypal ( which I did not choose ) said : PayPal is committed to complying with and meeting its global regulatory obligations. As part of our regulatory obligations, we regularly screen information and payments transacting through the PayPal system. We recently identified an issue regarding your transaction activity that requires additional review. XXXX : Regarding Your PayPal transaction ( XXXX ). It requested I submit two personal information to use my credit card payment directly with XXXX I did not upload as I expect my charge would not go and will get refunded. I since purchase it the item on XXXX using the login paypal method. I encountered this error 2-3 more times until recently on XX/XX/XXXX where paypal limited my account. Going through my history, paypal as committed charges when the order was nullfied from XXXX because paypal committed to complying with thier global regulatory obligations which permanently making charges if you do not submit information to them. I have bank receipts where there are over 5 charges since XX/XX/XXXX which they have not refunded. Please contact me as I'm also trying to submit this to lawyers to sue paypal for fraud.

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB I have had a PayPal account first for business, and now in my personal capacity, for many years. PayPal has placed a hold on my account for 6 months in violation of the Consumer Financial Protection Act : specifically, the prohibition against deception or unfair practices. PayPal has placed a 180 day hold on my account in violation of the Long Form Agreement which says that risk based hold normally would not exceed 21 days. This is a deceptive representation giving because by their action, they garnished money not for a risk but for some other purpose such as wanting use of my money and not paying interest. From between the XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, I transferred {$29000.00} into my PayPal account from my XXXX XXXX account. The size of my average transfer was around {$1000.00}. Once only, I mistakenly transferred money from a XXXX XXXX account that I had closed and had not updated on my PayPal transfer information to reflect this change. PayPal informed me of the error and the next day I covered that amount ( {$1000.00} only ) by bringing in additional funds. I admit that the initial transfer was a bit mistake on my part and one I immediately corrected with no consequence to PayPal. However, PayPal placed a 180 day hold on my account. The only notice I received is something vague informing me of the hold, but it did not even give me a phone number to call for clarification. My girlfriend and I need these funds for living expenses I have attached the letter from PayPal notifying me of the hold

I created another PayPal account and I contacted PayPal and let them know. Now I have roughly {$900.00} dollars in my account and they limited my account. I submitted all the documents requested and they told me 72hours or less I would revieve access. I waited the 72hours and now they are telling me another 72hours. I Sold these products on ebay because I need the money. My family is struggling due to covid and I being out of work and I can not afford for them to continue to tell me to wait.

Consumer Complaint: I want to pay a loan I have with PayPal. They have locked me out of my account so I can not do that. Every time I call ( and it's been at least 5 times ) Someone says they will look into it and call back, and they don't. This all started because a client I had asked for a refund for a writing service I provided and PayPal gave it back to them even though I sent email proof showing I had asked the client for certain materials to complete the final half of the job, and the client said they could not provide these items. So I am happy to pay a portion but am not liable for the full amount. PayPal will not be reasonable. Even beyond this {$1000.00} I still want to pay my {$3500.00} loan to them which is completely separate. I have tried with the XXXX XXXX XXXX. They have still not responded to make a way where I can pay this loan. So I either want a formal letter saying that they are completely forgiving it or create a way so I can pay, but this is ridiculous and has been going on for nearly a year. It is good that the government is beginning to examine PayPal because this should be another item that should be added for analysis. But I do want some resolution with all this asap!!!
