Consumer Complaint: PayPal closed and limited my account for no reason and will not help me with getting it back up and going. I am not sure if this is some mistake as I assume it has to be. I have not been able to get help from them for, no called support, auto replied. not telling problems just getting some auto reply. we use our paypal for selling in XXXX only getting sales from XXXX and maid XXXXXXXX payments. and when am get large sales like almost {$8000.00} they limited account and hold for 180 days even almost orders delivered. we added tracking no for that even they are not releasing available balance. there is no open cases and disputes no open chargeback still they done this no reason given. we get almsot XXXX sales via XXXX this month and they freeze due to this we are not able to complete pending order to I just remembered I could file a report on here as I feel they are not doing their job properly and it is effecting me a great deal as I used PayPal quite frequently. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I had sent XXXX XXXX dollars to my friend through Venmo. Later in the day, my friend indicated she did not receive the amount. I had emailed Venmo to resolve the issue. Venmo responded by stating " it is in her account, she need to transfer the money over. '' However, the amount was not in her account for the transfer. Therefore, I sent the venmo picture of my friend to her to verify. My friend said, " that's my picture on my XXXX, but that is not my account. '' I had emailed Venmo back to notify them fraud has occurred. Someone is using my friend 's first and last name, her picture but a different, other than my friend. Venmo responded requesting all the information between my actual friend and the other account. Venmo team stated they will investigate. I sent the information as well as attaching the XXXX different accounts with my friends pictures on them both. My friend only has XXXX account. Venmo then responded stating I need to follow up with my local law enforcement!!!!! At this point, Venmo has not notified me of anything else they are doing abou this situation, and indicated I will not be getting my money back. Please help. I do not believe Venmo is following up, poor customer service on their behalf. Extremely concerned this is happening on Venmo especially when so many people use this service. Something needs to be done so this will not happen to anyone else!

Consumer Complaint: My wife received settlement from XXXX XXXX company in the amount of {$9000.00} She opted to have the funds sent through PayPal for the so called quick and convenient service. She received the money uploaded her debit card information, she tried to cash out the money but was only allowed to send {$500.00}. So she called PayPal numerous times and got messages stating due to high call volume no-one maybe be able to answer the call and then the call drops. She finally got a representative explained her issue and the representative restored her account. My wife then sent {$5000.00} to my PayPal account then she sent {$3500.00}. I received the money and tried to cash it down to my XXXX XXXX account and when I did that I immediately received an email from PayPal stating that my account was shut down and closed and that I could look at my account but was unable to claim my money or perform any transactions and that they would be holding my money for 180 days/6 months. This is unacceptable, we are in a pandemic and my family needs all of the money that we can get to survive. I currently have an eviction and my family will be forced out of our home. I as well as XXXXXXXX XXXX opted to use this service as a way to get the money to us quickly to help us resolve our financial woes, but now we are face wit PayPal stealing our money.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from XXXX attempting to collect a debt for PayPal. As I do not have any outstanding debts with PayPal, I sent a letter requesting validation. In return, I received a letter from PayPal stating that I opened an account under email address XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. This is not nor has it ever been my email address. PayPal refuses to speak with me directly regarding this false debt because I " am not the owner '' since I can't log into the PayPal account. I can not do that, because I don't have access to an email address that isn't mine. I refuse to pay something that I legitimately do not owe and for them to contract a collection agency to add to my credit profile is damaging, to say the least. I'm not sure how this account was created and if it was whether it was created with my name ONLY, or with my SSN or bank information. I do not understand how I can be held liable for debts that I. Again, I can not obtain ANY of this information from PayPal even though this is supposedly my account.
