Consumer Complaint: I transferred money to my brother via PayPal. My understanding was that I am sending {$3000.00}, {$0.00} fees and he receives {$3000.00}. The reality is that he ( the recipient ) ended paying 7.4 % fee. When I asked PayPal to revert the transaction ( my brother was going to refund the money ) I was told by PayPal that he would still have to pay the transaction fee. I believe that their practice is not clear to the sender and that PayPal takes advantage of people by charging them abnormal fees. Most banks would charge {$40.00} to do the same.

I do this and still nothing happens. I need someone with a quarter of a brain to help me because they have XXXX customer service options and just ignore you as long as they get their money.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, PayPal unlawfully with no reason given put a 180 day hold on my account. At this time I was in dire need of my funds but was told that there was nothing I could do. After hundreds of calls over the next few months I was told I had to wait until the 180 day time frame was up and at that time my funds will be available to be withdrawn from the account. So what could I do I waited the very long period of time 6 months!! Putting me and my family in a horrible position! Well after the 6 months passed I received a notification via email ( in which is posted below via attachment ) that my funds are available to be withdrawn only to log in and find out that I can not and the error is still consistently happening I spoke with PayPal and they said I have to continue to wait with no given time frame or date on when Ill have my money. I have already once fully verified my account sending in my id and bank account statements along with Additional information there in no reason for PayPal to be holding my funds at this time. Please assist this isnt right

Consumer Complaint: Family of XXXX, XXXX phones and XXXX Emails hacked and controlled on XX/XX/XXXX. About XXXX XXXX we started receiving texts from XXXX that our phone service was being shifted. to another carrier. Indeed, our phone numbers were ported and killed at XXXX. Then our email addresses were hacked, and thus we lost control of our XXXX and PayPal accounts. Then began several hours of notifications that our funds were being moved, requested, from banks and credit cards. WE froze our bank account, and killed our credit cards. So no money was actually taken, it just appeared to shift between our 3 family PayPal accounts. But all our money remained where it should be, since we interrupted the supply!! HOWEVER, PayPal has a policy that credit card use with them requires a fee! So even though no funds were moved, and PayPal was VERY unhelpful, and unapproachable during this event, they levied a charge just as if credit card funds HAD be used. We have emailed, called, responded to emails, had our case elevated, escalated several times, no one acknowledges understanding. Then we received a collection letter from XXXX, XXXX on behalf of PayPal for {$75.00} on XX/XX/XXXX
