Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, I deposited {$500.00} into my PayPal account, and a couple days later, PayPal blocked all transactions on my account, and told me they were closing my account because they suspect fraud. I asked a PayPal represent active if I could be given an opportunity to prove no fraud had been used with my account and they said no, the account is scheduled to be closed and a refund of available funds will be mailed to me in 180 days. PayPal refused to allow me to access my {$500.00} for 180 days and is closing my account without providing me details of why that decision was made, and refused to give me an opportunity to keep my account open. I was also charged {$10.00} which was an unauthorized transaction which I disputed and my dispute was not appropriate handled, leaving me with a balance of {$480.00}. PayPal has engaged in harmful, reckless, unfair, and discriminative behavior when handling my account.

For several week and despite numerous requests, I got no answer from Venno. Just recently I was told that it was due to receipt of a transfer from XXXX XXXX that I did not initiate and Venmo refunded, all without my input of knowledge. More likely would be the fact that I received a significant payment from the IRS or a customer as both have the account details and Venmo wanted to hold the money ( rather take ) without my knowledge, under the guise of suspected fraud, which It certainly is not and is readily verifiable,

Consumer Complaint: I have had my existing PayPal account for roughly 20 years with the same checking account linked to it the entire time, and I also have a current PayPal Mastercard. In other words, I am a well-established customer of this company. As a XXXX XXXX XXXX I work with a variety of clients. On XX/XX/21, I received payment for XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$370.00} via PayPal from my customer who is based in XXXX. Upon receipt of funds, PayPal deducted their 5 % fee, then immediately locked my account. I received an email stating that I can no longer do business with PayPal, without explanation, and I am unable to transfer my funds from PayPal to my bank account. When I called and spoke to customer service, I was told that I would have to wait until I receive an email from them in 180 days with instruction on whether or not I can transfer my money into my bank account. I sent them an email, and received an immediate reply that stated their decision is final, and " We can not disclose the specific criteria that we sometimes use to limit access to accounts. '' I have never violated any terms of service, and their efforts to steal my hard-earned money is outrageous.
