Consumer Complaint: Tried to buy a video game sonsole through XXXX XXXX. Person under the name XXXX XXXX that actually lives in North Carolina XXXX possibly XXXX XXXX scammed me after I sent a partial payment for said console. He received {$360.00} through Venmo app, money that was supposed to be the first part so he could send the package through XXXX. I already contacted XXXX XXXX and Venmo app for assistance, but wanted to get more help since none of them could stop the payment right away when it happened.

Consumer Complaint: PayPal has closed my account for no reason and will not help me getting it back up and running. It seemed like a mistake but they have been completely unhelpful in trying to remedy it. I've been trying for months and was told to file a report here for help. My PayPal email is XXXX They put the account on hold initially in XXXX, then announced a 180 day hold in XXXX. In reality, the hold ( although not warranted to begin with ) started over 180 days ago. This is seriously shady activity from PayPal and it's affected my ability to pay for basic expenses.

Consumer Complaint: Hello Sirs. I am a widow selling online my late husband 's militaria antique collection. As a payment method I was using Pay Pal payment method. OnXX/XX/XXXX I have received from PayPal email that my accounts are permanently closed and I will not be able to open another account. My funds were put on hold for 180 days with option to release in 180 days. I have contacted Pay Pal agents several times and they explained me the reason - violation by accepting PP payments for antique fire arms ( I did not know about this PP rule which is not an excuse for me ). All the agents whom I contacted with had assured me that in 180 days onXX/XX/XXXX my money would be released and they will instruct me how to procede. But onXX/XX/XXXX full amount of {$6.00} XXXX from my account was transferred to PayPal without any notifications and explanations. PayPal did not release my funds in 180 days ( XX/XX/XXXX) as was promised. Please help me to get my money back. I am single senior widow and it is hard enough to survive during this challenging times due to pandemic.Thanks in advance.

Consumer Complaint: I've been using PayPal to invest in XXXX, namely XXXX and XXXX. My investments are currently around {$7000.00} in XXXX and {$3000.00} cash. On XX/XX/XXXX I added the {$3000.00} cash to my PayPal from my bank account, and my account was promptly frozen. They asked me for documentation which I provided. Days later I got an e-mail saying I am permanently blocked from using PayPal and I can not access my {$10000.00}!!!!!! Please help me, I did absolutely, positively nothing wrong and I feel that I am being scammed out of a large part of my life savings. Doing some research online I found troubling stories from thousands of other people, going through the same problem. There have even been 3 class action lawsuits against PayPal for this exact reason. It seems that PayPal does not care that they are holding people 's life savings away from them for no reason whatsoever. They need to be punished for the people they have hurt! To see the thousands of horror stories one needs only XXXX search " paypal permanently limited 180 days ''

Consumer Complaint: I attempted to purchase an item from an online account and used PayPal to pay for the item. Subsequently, I found out the account/seller was fraudulent and disputed with PayPal. They spent almost 60 days and in the meantime, the seller sent a fraudulent UPS notice that the product had been delivered to me. It never was delivered. PayPal sided with the seller and left me with no appeal process. I've tried to close my Paypal account and they won't even answer the phone or IM system. I'm convinced that I will never receive my money back and just want to close the account of this worthless organization. I will use my credit card directly in the future. I need your help in closing the PayPal account.

Consumer Complaint: Around the middle of XXXX I received a large direct deposit from the Florida unemployment office, I signed up for a PayPal account under the guise that they have direct deposit and the debit cards and all that stuff that goes with that everyday bill paying. I paid some bills, I paid some people of whom I owed money to, I used XXXX a couple times and I got a hotel room. I received a an email from them saying that they had permanently limited my account and that they're going to withhold my funds of close to {$4000.00} for 180 days with no explanation of any agreement that I broke, just saying that they felt unsafe with some of my transactions. Now, you have to remember that some of these transactions were made after four months of not getting paid so I can only add {$300.00} to the temporary debit card a day so that was being done for a couple days, so I can get bills paid. Anyway I can't wait 180 days for the money to be returned. Paypal 's user agreement is flawed in, outdated and probably criminal. I have read several online post about people having the same problem, having their accounts permanently limited which means they shut your account down, they don't close it because if they close it, then they have to return the money and I can't even close it and there's a lot of talk of class action suits against PayPal on this topic but as of right now my issue is getting that money back as soon as possible so I don't end up almost I need that money it just came in and now it's it's frozen.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2020 I used my paypal account to receive my unemployment deposits. The initial deposit from Nevada Unemployment was for {$7400.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I was able to transfer money out on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX with all amounts being within their terms and conditions. The next time i tried to use my account I received the message that my account was limited and that i would have to wait 180 days before i would have access to my account. On the paypal website it clearly says " Since 180 days have now passed, you can now transfer your money from your PayPal account. You can transfer your money to a bank account or eligible debit card on your account. You may need to update your bank account or card, or add a new bank account or card before being able to withdraw your money. '' On XX/XX/XXXX i received an email that said the 180 days are up and that I should be able to transfer money out of my account. I have not been able to do so even now. I also dont have an option to add a bank account to be able to transfer funds or have access to my paypal cash card thats linked with my account. Everytime i call and ask about my account I get a different answer. One time i was even told that they cant do anything to help me. Which made me feel that they have no intention of giving me my money back. Its not only been 180 days since i dont have access to my unemployment money but its been way over XXXX.
