Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I Received a notice via email from the Federal Trade Commission that I am to receive a refund of {$38.00} from a Class Action Lawsuit against XXXX XXXX. The payment was to be made by check or through PayPal. Since I had been a member of PayPal for about three years and had used the app without any problems in the past I chose to receive the funds through Pay Pal. On XX/XX/XXXX when the funds were released to be paid, I contacted PayPal to receive my funds. The request was accepted at first, and then later denied. I contacted PayPal Customer Service via telephone. I spoke to a representative who made a update to my account telephone number. I was then forwarded to another rep, but there was so much static and noise on the line and his accent was so thick I could not understand anything he was saying. I stated that I could not understand him and will call back. When I did call back I got a different rep and the line was clear. He told me that he could not tell why I could not receive my funds. After the phone call he sent me an email that stated I had to get a court ordered subpoena, or hire a lawyer to access my account information. I later received emails stating that I can no longer do business with PayPal, and that they will hold my funds for 180 days without explanation. After the 180 day period of time I should receive an email explaining what I need to do to get my funds. Their policy states that funds not picked up in 30 days will no longer be available. To add insult to injury, out of the {$38.00} there is only {$38.00} available now because they are charging transaction fees for transactions that never took place. PayPal will provide no information on my account, or why they are taking the steps they are taking to deny any information. I believe that the policies of PayPal are unfair to customers and ask that they be investigated.

Consumer Complaint: I was a new user with Venmo. I was conducting a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and requesting funds from parents that had signed up their kids. After sending out several payment requests on XX/XX/2021, I received an email from Venmo stating that my account had been temporarily frozen. During that time I received a payment from a parent for {$150.00}. Venmo asked me for a drivers license picture on XX/XX/2021. On that same day I sent a photo ID to Venmo. On XX/XX/2021 Venmo said that although I provided this information, my account will be permanently closed and my funds would be temporarily held for 180 days. I called customer service on XX/XX/2021 and they told me there was no way they could help me with this issue and that I would need to email an account specialist to assist me. When I asked for a phone number or to be transferred to that department, they said they dont have a phone number and that they could only handle account issues via email. This issue has yet to be resolved. Venmo continues to withhold the funds from me and denied my request to refund the other Venmo user that sent me those funds.

Consumer Complaint: hello this complaint is with pay pal this account was closed months ago because of a dispute over un approved freight charges of {$1500.00} and 25 + orders never delivered from wish. there was a investigation by pay pal as they paid these charges, they only FOUND4 items that were not shipped and returned the charge back to paypal. " THE REPORTED ITEMS WERE A EXAMPLE OF THE BUSINESS '' repeatedly tried to get a return for the amount listed and the undelivered items. It appears that this is a date was falls represented as the investigation. next the company has closed the account and still charging me amounts. this is not right. the account has been turned over to a debt consolidation company. when they will began the proceedings my account will have to be payments to them has to increased for them to work on it. enclosed is a copy of last statement from them. i mean no harm or insult and offered to pay rest off after the refunded money and items were delivered. they did not correct the issue. this all began XX/XX/2019 please and thank you

The original hold was 21 days, then 72 hours, then it would be next day. That was 3 days ago. I need the money to rent a car to get to the XXXX for 2 XXXX. I can barely walk and I have already cancelled one appointment because of the delay in getting my money - which I need immediately so I can rent a car to get to take the tests.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madame Thank you for having this site for us a customers Paypal permanently limited my account and sent this email last XX/XX/XXXX : You can no longer use PayPal After a review, we decided to permanently limit your account as we found potential risk associated with it. Youll not be able to use PayPal to send and receive payments or shop online. If you have funds in your PayPal balance, well hold the amount for up to 180 days. After that period, well email you with information on how to access your funds. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. But now I look on my account and found out that they already transferred the money on their account. Here 's the message Transaction ID XXXX Note {$1300.00} USD ; PayPal Posting Date : XX/XX/XXXX ; Payment to : Paypal ; PayPal 's damages caused by Acceptable Use Policy violation ;.
