Consumer Complaint: i was paid by a buyer via paypal for an artists product whom i work for. paypal took a fee, but when i tried transferring money to the artist for the goods, paypal put a hold on my account and will not release the funds unless i give them the buyers date of birth, along with a detailed description of what the product is, how we sell it, how we inform the buyer of delays etc. i provided all the info requested other than buyers DOB and i am still getting generic emails asking for the same thing over and over, holding onto our funds.

Issue: Money was not available when promised

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 my uncle had sent 3 payments to my paypal account for my XXXX and XXXX treatments. Not even 1 minute later someone withdrew these funds so I notified paypal and they quickly put the funds back into my account from their own bank. Then after putting the money into my account they blocked my account and said i was no longer able to use PayPal again and my money would be held for 180 days then released. It is past that 180 days, i have contacted Paypal several times and they just say that they have no reason why i can not access my funds because it should have been released. I have told them I am expected to XXXX less than XXXX month due to my XXXX XXXX being to far gone and they still say no one in the company can give me reason why they havent released my funds. Its like they are just waiting for me to XXXX. I need this money to help pay for my XXXX expenses. If there was an issue from the beginning they would not have used theirXXXX XXXX to return the funds to my account so I dont understand. I have emailed and phoned PayPal several times and they will nit explain it because they all say I should have these funds. Just keep waiting they say. I do not have time to keep waiting I do not know what to do Im sorry but this is difficult enough without fighting for the money that was sent to me to help keep me XXXX a little longer. I shouldnt have to be going through this. My family cant contact them because paypal refuses to speak to them so like I said i feel like they are just waiting for me to XXXX and that is horrible.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a business bank account with Venmo ( a new feature ). The first issue I had was a glitch in their system that made it difficult for donors to search for our business by name. We were told to leave off the " @ '' or not use the capital letters in the name. It was resolved, but not without loss of revenue. They were also very unclear when we set up the account about the 2 % charge we would incur from deposits after the 30-day trial, so for every donor who sent in {$100.00} late in our fundraising, we lost {$2.00} in fees. My most recent, more serious problem, is that I'm not able to pay vendors through my account due to what they're calling a " security breach. '' There was no notification of a possible risk, just a message when I attempted to pay that Venmo had lost contact with my bank and I could resolve it by logging into my bank. I followed those instructions, but it did not resolve the issue. It simply looped back into the same message. I contacted customer service to see why it wasn't working, and was informed via chat about the potential security issue which they were not able to override. The agent was not able to tell me anything about the issue, why it cut off my funds, or how I could fix it. I had to ask three times for a supervisor to help, at which time she said she'd escalate the issue and I'd hear back in an email. The issue has been ongoing for at least five days ( the night of our event I was unable to pay vendors ), and there does not appear to be a resolution. I have been inconvenienced and embarrassed by a financial institution that I placed my trust in to operate my business, and evidently they are not capable of resolving it. I will be closing my business bank account as soon as my funds have been transferred to my bank, and I do not recommend opening up a business account with Venmo unless and until they work out their very egregious kinks.

Consumer Complaint: Paypal has held my funds over 180 days as per the agreement that they said they will release funds after that. XX/XX/XXXX, PayPal blocked my account without any explanation or why they thought my account is a potential risk. I have tried to communicate with them regarding the issue and they have not replied to any of the messages I left and the customer service number doesn't work. Today is XX/XX/XXXX and I should have a received an email from PayPal stating I should withdraw the funds but they haven't and this goes against their legal terms and can be a potential law suit against the company. The email of the account is XXXX which a XXXX account. I'd really appreciate it you helped me resolve the issue and get my account back.
