Consumer Complaint: Hello! So Ive been using PayPal for my business to over 6 months now, verified my identity on my account and havent had a single complaint from my customers. I recently XXXX an email from PayPal stating that I violated their terms of service and that my account is being terminated, and I cant withdraw my funds for 6 months. When contacting them, they dont tell me what term I violated, and they just tell me to wait and see what happens. This is not okay!!!!! I have never violated any rule and Ive never received any email or message from PayPal notifying me about anything wrong with my account! They just decided to lock my account for nothing! Im quite sure a mistake has happened here but they are not willing to listen to me. I have over {XXXX} in my account and I thought that PayPal was safe thats why I was saving my money there ... Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX started a paypal account to receive money for an accident that was settled out of court. I had never used paypal before but it was the only way the sender said he could send it. I started the paypal page without knowledge that I couldn't link a prepaid debit card. On attempt to connect my XXXX XXXX card it didn't link. I tried my XXXX card it wouldn't link. I thought I could link my spouse card cause it was an actual bank card only because I'm allowed to do so on XXXX XXXX. In doing so I seem to have violated paypal security policy an was locked out my account I received an email that said the account was permanently locked an I would have to wait 180 days. I found that a lil hard to swallow so I continued to call and speak to different reps and one told me if I submitted the my id an my spouse bank statement they would see it review it an my money would be released in the hour. I did so an didn't receive a email back so I tried to call back an the office was closed. So the next day I called an they said they received the documents an it was not going to be able to take the limitation off the account and I would have to wait 180 days. This is a big inconvenience because like I said initially the money was for repairs of my vehicle an in turn it hasn't been fixed an my spouse is at risk of losing his job an no money is coming in to pay bills because we don't have transportation. I have all documentation including the source of the money to prove no fraud had been committed. I understand I am being penalized for ignorance an they have every right to close the account but to hold my funds is Ludacris to me.
