Consumer Complaint: XXXX, 2021 : XXXX offered a trial of this product. I was led to try the product for {$5.00}. Instead, XX/XX/2021 : I got the following debits from my account : {$1.00} and {$49.00}. On my bank statement, the phone number assigned to XXXX is from PayPal. I do not have a PayPal account and did not authorize XXXX to use PayPal. XX/XX/2021 : XXXX, ID # : XXXX, wanted me to provide my SSN, my credit card number, and my banks account and routing numbers. I did feel comfortable providing these, so I initiated a non-fraud claim. Also, XXXX could not verify that I had PayPal and did not ask the name of the company or the products name.

Consumer Complaint: I booked a vacation package with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I put a deposit of {$300.00} down via PayPal. On XX/XX/XXXX, The XXXX XXXX XXXX went into administration ( bankrupt ) and it is no longer trading as a business. PayPal has rejected my claim on the basis that I am out of the time-frame to claim. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act it is my right to claim a refund when the service I paid for is not received due to a company 's bankruptcy. The time limit for making a claim should start from the date I was expecting to receive the service/trip not from the purchase date, given I was buying something to be delivered in the future. In my case this date should be my refund credit note expiry date of XX/XX/XXXX. Alternatively, as I was not able to open a dispute through their system since I was outside of the team limit, they may use the date I found out that I would not receive the trip ( XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ).

Pay Pal charged me {$130.00} as a fee. Then they charged a further {$10.00} to instantly transfer the balance of {$3500.00} to my bank. But they also held {$230.00} for 21 days. They claim that is their policy. I believe this is illegal or at minimum an immoral practice. I seek your advice please.

Consumer Complaint: I complained that PAYPAL company illegally misappropriated user refunds and refused to return the original payment bank account! I received a prepayment refund of {$520.00} from XXXX on XX/XX/2021, transaction number : XXXX. After PayPal received the refund, it did not return my money to my original payment bank account, and sent a misleading email telling me that I received the refund from XXXX, but it was not very clear at the end that the refund did not arrive. Account. I did not find the bank account information until 3 days later, and entered the PAYPAL account to find that the money was still in the PAYPAL account and was illegally embezzled {$15.00} by PAYPAL. I immediately communicated through the PAYPAL website, but PAYPAL 's customer service found various excuses to refuse to refund my payment and part of the misappropriated money. When I pointed out that the reason for the misappropriation of the customers money and non-refundable was unfounded, the customer service said that the manager XXXX would reply to me. I gave 5 days to process it. XXXX only replied after 3 days that she would refund me {$15.00}, but still Refusal to refund to my original bank account. After I insisted that I had to refund {$520.00} to my original bank account, and told her that I needed to use this money to pay for the living expenses of my family, XXXX ignored my request and did not refund the illegally embezzled {$15.00}. As an international company, PayPal takes advantage of XXXX peoples inability to speak out through international social media, and it is shameful to use this blatant illegal and criminal behavior to infringe on the interests of XXXX users. It also disobeys the United States values of integrity. I hope you can help me. To preside over justice and severely punish PayPal, I will also request public support through social media.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX a direct deposit was made to my PayPal account in the amount of {$8400.00} I usually transfer my funds directly from my PayPal account to my bank account but on this day PayPal permanently locked my account without any warning or any type of explanation to why this action was taken I have made several attempts to contact PayPal headquarters and no attempt was ever success I spoke with one of PayPals many account representatives which offered no help or any explanation to why my account was locked and my funds are stuck in this account they told me I would have to wait 180 calendar days to receive any information about my funds I later went online and found a few reviews for this similar situation and a lot of other PayPal users have had the same incident happen to them and they never received there funds from the account in those 180 days the representative that I spoke with claimed she was a manager and was very much unprofessional and as I explained my situation of me becoming homeless if I didnt pay my rent she laughed over the phone at me and stated that it was nothing she could do to help me

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a Paypal Prepay Debit card because I felt the need to used it at the time, when I could not have been qualified to own a credit card. I got the card. After awhile I realized that Paypal ran a hard inquiry on my credit as though I applied for a credit card from the XXXX XXXX. I have tried called XXXX XXXX and Paypal Customer Service Reps Several time to formally complain against the injustice they are doing to me. XXXX XXXX Reps Have promised to fix it but nothing as being done. I have repeatedly tried to call them so that they can fix the issue and remove the HARD IINQUIRY from the XXXX credit profile. But nothing has being done. Each I call no one seems to remember anything ... Almost two months ago but nothing has being done! I have since being giving a run around, whenever I call Paypal the transfer me to XXXX XXXX and they pretend as though they have never being approached on the Issue. I did not applied for a XXXX XXXX/Paypal issued Credit card. The Run around and pretends are hurting my credit, thus making life hard for me. I am formally asking CFPB to get involve. I want that Hard inquiry removed and that they incidence never repeated. Thanks

Consumer Complaint: So I had a personal account with PayPal for years. I just upgraded it to a XXXX account over the last few months since I never had a problem with my personal account. Prior to doing my XXXX with PayPal I was having my XXXX send payments by cash app. When I had the chance to upgrade my personal account to a XXXX account I agreed because I felt PayPal would be the more secure way. On XX/XX/2021 I received a email saying my PayPal account is locked and I cant have access to my funds for 180 days. How is that even legal? Well I contacted PayPal and no one could explain to me why my account was locked/closed, just that I violated a rule but unable to tell me what rule. Well I have clients that paid me to repair their credit and Im unable to access any funds.

Consumer Complaint: I previously have submitted a complaint to PayPal regarding my account being limited access due to suspicious activity. In my CFPB response letter from PayPal inc. they stated that my current PayPal account is limited because they alleged a violation of Restricted activity and hold section of the user agreement. I called today XX/XX/XXXX to PayPal because a supervisor was supposed to give me a callback for a reconsideration because I have showed proof that their security system was a false positive of fraudulent activity on my account. I havent received any callbacks and today I spoke to PayPal collection department which they stated that I still have a negative balance of my previous PayPal account back in XXXX and I advised the representative that I have already payed off that debt which PayPal sold the to XXXX XXXX. PayPal has no legal rights to that account once sold to a debt collector and I have the letter to confirm my debt settlement.
