Consumer Complaint: I opened a Paypal Business Account on XX/XX/XXXX. I have been a customer of Paypals since XXXX -- almost a decade. I have previously had both a personal account as well as a business account and have never had any prior issues. I decided to open a new business account since I have started a new venture and would like to separate the finances from my other account. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email with the following subject line : We need some information regarding yourPayPalaccount. ( Ref ID XXXX ). The email read that I needed to provide some documents and my account is limited and I won't be able to send payments or withdraw my funds. On XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX I uploaded and provided them the requested documents ( Passport, SS #, etc ) as well as tracking information from the first three purchases on my website. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email with the subject line : You can no longer do business withPayPal ( Ref ID - XXXX ). Immediately after, on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX EST I called Paypal Customer Service and had a 58 minute phone call with them. I asked for the reason why my account was permanently limited. The representative told me that they can not tell me the exact reason, but that the decision is final and can not be resolved. I asked them if this was a misunderstanding and if I had potentially uploaded a file wrong or if they needed any additional information. They said no and said that my information was high risk or possibly fraudulent. I asked for specifics so I could simply fix the issue, but they said no and assured me the decision is final. I asked to be transferred to someone higher up in their department. I was transferred to a man named XXXX who is a department lead and he told me all the same things. He told me that an individual from his team had reviewed the information I had submitted and that I was flagged as a potential risk. I got off the phone with no additional answers or explanations and I am at a loss. I am very frustrated because I have been a customer of Paypals service for literally a decade. I have never once had an issue. I have never made a fraudulent purchase or sale. I have always provided the information they needed from me at the time it was requested, and I have always had the same bank account. There has literally never been an issue. There is {$69.00} stuck in the account and I can not withdraw the funds for 180 days and Im not sure I can after that either. Paypal is keeping me in the dark on this decision and process. I have stopped taking payments through PayPal on my website until this is resolved. Paypal also conveniently took their fees out for themselves before shutting me down.

However, due to contract breach, the mixing and mastering service were terminated and {$500.00} refund was expected. Due to the disappearance and unreachable of the producer, I'm requesting a refund through Venmo. However, Venmo stated it was a transfer between friends rather than a merchant service and refused to provide a refund.

Consumer Complaint: Filed a complaint regarding the deceptive tactics and misleading sales by a business using their platform to push sales ( XXXX ). Once the Bait and Switch ( Fee switched from a one time payment of {$490.00} to a monthly payment of {$490.00} without written permission ) was detected along with the detailed harassment the ensued, I requested an immediate refund per the Paypal process. They extended the deadline and denied the claim. My bank is also investigating this issue. The following is the detailed complaint along withe a copy of the submission. -High Pressure Sales Marketing Tactics and misleading price claims that failed to disclose the up-sell necessary for success in their membership. The neglect to provide the sufficient information to properly make an investment decision was accompanied by false oral and written claims that violate their terms of service. -Bait-n-Switch techniques and failure to perform promised services -for membership as stated was a one-time fee of {$490.00} to obtain membership -in order to access the XXXX database of members. And obtain Speaking engagements ( which I stated as a major reason for joining ). However, once I signed up, further emails expressed there were more obligations to obtain the lists and speak : ( 1 ) Completion a separate XXXX training or other up-sell as high at $ XXXX ( 2 ) Attend {$20.00} per week membership meetings for a drip list of attendees ( 3 ) Pay additional speakers fee of up to {$150.00}. -Marketing to my Mailing listing with harassing phone calls, text messages, and spamming emails when their offer was declined. Contacted by my contacts once these pressure tactics occurred. Terms of Service not as describe : XXXX : XXXX Paypal ignored all of these tactics which are a violation of truth in advertising rules in Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased an item and paid via PayPal. Immediately after the purchase, I realized I had been redirected to an illegitimate website impersonating a different company. I then quickly called my credit card company and was told that I would have to resolve with PayPal as the funds were paid through them. I then immediately called PayPal and was told the funds had already been sent and I would have to dispute the claim if the product was never received. I was told by the agent that I could receive a refund if the item was never shipped. I opened a claim with PayPal and they quickly closed it saying the seller provided a shipping notice. The notice was bogus as was the website. PayPal simply closed the claim. The website clearly gives instructions that you can escalate a claim, but that feature is not available when I follow the instructions. The site also will not let me reopen the claim. I can not find any way to dispute further with PayPal. I've also tried to call PayPal multiple times but end up on long holds and ultimately have to hang up due to my job. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 i received an email from paypal informing me that my account was limited. Prior to, i had received a direct deposit from the state of floridas unemployment. Paypal informed me that my account was permanently limited and after 180 days they wpuld notify me and allow me to withdraw my funds which is XXXX usd. My 180 days were up on XX/XX/2021 and i have yet to receive an email advising me that my funds are released. I spoke with paypal all along the 180 day process several times and was not told anything different. I really need the limitation lifted long enough to withdraw my funds and close my account for good.

Consumer Complaint: I've had my PayPal account closed and my balance of {$18000.00} has been frozen for 180 days. I have not been provided with a reason for this by PayPal. They limited my account on XX/XX/XXXX and requested documents from me. I provided these documents on XX/XX/XXXX. There was also a request for an explanation of the use of my account, but before I could respond to this, I received an email saying that they have closed my account. They did not allow me to provide an explanation of the use. I use the account to send money to my friends, as well as with my casino accounts where PayPal is an option in the cashier. I haven't broken any of their terms as far as I'm aware and they haven't told me what I've done to cause this to happen. I can't believe it's legal for them to take my money away. Can you please help me.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, I got my first Payment using PayPal but suddenly Paypal HOLD my money for 21 days, therefore, I can't transfer to my bank link to Paypal my money, I follow their advice that If I want to get my money sooner I have to update my tracking number so I did then they said as well even my money was on hold I can receive payment again continue so I did again received payment even the money is in the hold, Now after 5 transactions of payment they PERMANENTLY LOCK my ACCOUNT and they said I have to wait 180 days more to get my money and they said they will use my money. Now I don't have any money PAYPAL already takes control of my account sir. By the way sir I didn't yet finish the 21 days of hold they already lock my account.
