Consumer Complaint: I used Venmo services to receive my federal and state tax refund, after having my taxes deposited for about a week, Venmo froze my account and refused to tell me why. They were rude and unprofessional. I have XXXX babies that are going without because Venmo decided to keep my funds instead of closing my account and releasing my funds. None of which belonged to Venmo, but they saw fit to keep the funds for loss prevention. I have a little over {$4500.00} still stuck on Venmo. I have also read that Im not the only person they have done it to. There are thousands of people going through what I am going through. I have decided to seek legal help if Venmo will not release my tax refund.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX, My PayPal account ( paypal email = XXXX ) got permanently closed for no reason and my business fund ( {$1500.00} ) is stuck in there. I have been using PayPal for the past two years without any issues, and suddenly my account got permanently closed on XXXX XX/XX/2022, no reason was given for the account closure. Before the closure my account was temporarily limited on XXXX XX/XX/2022 and I was asked to upload my ID and Bank statement, which I provided, the documents got review, accepted and the limit was lifted with 24hours on XXXX XX/XX/2022. Then I continued receiving payment with my PayPal account, then on the XXXX of XX/XX/2022 I request to withdraw some money to my XXXX XXXX account as I normally do, the withdrawal got delayed as am told that it needed to be reviewed, then the next day been XXXX XX/XX/2022 I received an email from PayPal that I can no longer use their service that my account is permanently closed. The money I withdrew last got deposited into my bank account after some days, but I still have {$1500.00} on my account which I can't use or withdraw due to the erroric closure of my account ( I believe my account was closed due to some automated error ) I try contacting them via message through the help center but I can't since the send message option is no longer available, I tried calling their helpline but I wasn't given the opportunity to speak with a customer support representative for reasons best know to them. In the last XXXX months itself, we had generated {$320000.00} via XXXX transactions through our business. And in XXXX, there were high sales due to XXXX 's week, we managed to make XXXX shipments which were around {$100000.00}. PayPal closed my account on XXXX XX/XX/2022 for no prior notice, they quoted the reason stating " You can no longer use PayPal-After a review, we decided to permanently limit your account as we found potential risk associated with it. '' though they have always make the hold up to {$50000.00} from my account. I can't withdraw it, and I am okay with the hold. I immediately took the action and wrote email and call them, but they are not help me with getting back up and going I am not sure if this is a mistake as I assume it has to be. I have not been able to get any sort of help by their calling support or email support. all of my funds which are {$64000.00} on hold for XXXX days Due to this limitation imposed by PayPal, I can not accept payments from my customers, and my business is greatly suffering due to this. We already lost around {$70000.00} for this month. I am also not able to refund my customers. I request you to fairly review my account & check Govt documents like XXXX, and further Incorporation documents of our XXXX as well as our invoice. Consumer Complaint: I have been using PayPal since XXXX. I used it for many years to buy items online and also to purchase sports cards for my hobby. During XXXX and XXXX, the sports collectables industry experienced a huge boom. So my hobby essentially turned into a business due to the huge increase in demand for sports cards. I mainly focused on selling soccer cards. During XXXX and XXXX, my transaction volume and amounts increased tremendously in comparison to my previous use since I started buying and selling sports cards at much higher prices. During these 2 years, I buy and sold hundreds of cards online to people all around the world. Unfortunately, as the amount of my transactions increase so did the probability of encountering problems with sellers and buyers. On several occasions, I had to deal with fraudulent buyers and sellers sending me fake cards, damaged cards, different items, and even lost packages by the post office. All of these issues become huge problems for me because they were high valued items. Sports cards ranging from {$100.00} to {$8000.00} each. Every time I had any issues, I had to open a dispute with PayPal to either return an item and get my money back if I never received the item that I purchased. Due to the increase in my transactions, I naturally encountered more problems since I was dealing with numerous sellers from around the world. Once day, PayPal closed my account without any explanations and told me that they could not give me any explanations to why they closed my account. I was banned from PayPal and my business was ruined since I can no longer buy items safely from sellers around the world. Now my source of income has gone down significantly because of this and it has been a huge issue in my life. PayPal was crucial for my business and the damage that they have done to me is irreparable. The amount stress and the amount of time that I have had to put into dealing with this has been horrible. I have spent months dealing with claims with my bank trying to get my money back for items that I never received or that arrived damaged. I also lost thousands of dollars for certain transactions that I was not able to open a dispute since my account for closed. Overall, this has been a huge nightmare for me and I am going to do whatever I can to make sure that PayPal fixes or pays this. They have ruined my life and my business and I will take legal action if necessary. I tried contacting them several times and they never provided an explanation or tried to help me in any way even after I offered to show them proof of everything that I stated.
