Consumer Complaint: Paypal accessed my personal checking account without authorization, in what I believe was retaliation for sharing my personal account of their facilitation of fraud. I am complaining about Paypal in the capacity of a consumer using its services.Not as a business. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice that a transaction made on my paypal account was being disputed. I provided evidence that the claim was false and Paypal agreed. But Paypal decided to decided to facilitate fraud and pay off the scammer from its own account, stating it would not take the money from my account. ( see attached ) I was not satisfied because Paypal was quite literally supporting fraud on my electronic account and not accurately representing the outcome of the matter. I complained publicly in a personal capacity about Paypal facilitating fraud. I posted on social media accounts and requested they provide additional details regarding their illegal support of fraud on bank accounts. Instead of answering my questions, Paypal retaliated for my public comments and illegally debited my account without any reason or authorization. This occurred in the capacity as a consumer. Not a seller. Not a business. As a consumer -- they stole funds from my personal account -- a debit completely unrelated to any open transaction. They just stole it. At this point, I do not believe Paypal will respond with truth, but I am hopeful the CFPB will look at the pattern of conduct across complaints regarding Paypal 's actions and investigate and audit it to identify how many victims and how many unauthorized debits it has made.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, I was trying to purchase a teacup yorkie puppy that was supposed to be shipped to me. XXXX XXXX shippers told me that the puppy would need a specialize crate to fly in and i could rent this crate for {$910.00} upon which would be refunded to me once the puppy was delivered to my home. The funds were drawn from my XXXX XXXX account from my credit union to my PayPal account. We later found out that this transaction was a scam. PayPal is still holding these funds ; they claim that my credit union would have to do a chargeback then they would comply. I received a letter from my credit union on the fourteenth and according to them visa is a pee-to-peer payment processor and is responsible only for the transfer of funds, the service is not intended to be used to purchase goods and services. they suggested I seek compensation from the individual and they will not issue me a credit. the individual will not respond to me or PayPal because they know we have found out this is a scam. So now PayPal will not even return the money because there is no protection through friends and family that the individual told me to use to transferer the money the case is still in dispute with PayPal. I did explain to them that my credit union can not do a chargeback PayPal insist that they can. Paypal did refund the {$810.00} back to me that were supposed to be for vaccines for the puppy to fly and this transaction went through friends and family so I am not understanding why I can not get my {$940.00} back for the so-called crate that I rented. This is a shipping company called XXXX XXXX shippers out of XXXX.

I requested the Venmo representative to close my account after the last complaint and apparently they did not. I want to be reimbursed for my burden in addition to remuneration of whatever funds Venmo has participated in extorting me of. My rate is $ XXXX.
