Consumer Complaint: We have a Paypal account and accompanying XXXX debit card. Paypal has unlawfully placed a hold on our account and will not release our funds. There are no disputes, no chargebacks or other anomalies with our account. We have supplied Paypal with all required information. We have been on the phone with support 6 times for many many hours. Each service representative ( including supervisors ) agrees that there should be no hold on our account, but is unable to do anything to help us. We need a third party to step in and force Paypal to return our funds. At this point, we want to close the account and simply quit doing business with them.

Consumer Complaint: I used my XXXX credit card to send a Venmo payment ( Transaction ID : XXXX ) to a friend on XXXX in the amount of {$100.00}. The transaction was a duplicate so I disputed it with the credit card company. In response, Venmo retracted the funds from the payee while the dispute was resolved. XXXX closed the dispute on XXXX and indicated it was a valid transaction and left the charge on my credit card. Therefore, the {$100.00} should have been returned to the payee. Venmo has not returned the payment and has kept the {$100.00} XXXX with no recourse. I have tried contacting them multiple times and they have not provided a path to resolution other than saying they will review it. It has now been over 2 months since the dispute was initiated and over 2 weeks since the dispute was resolved.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a paypal acount as a way of transacting internationally the account email is XXXX. However I was shocked that upon the depositing of money in the account, it was immediately limited permanently for 180 days. According to the company 's policy, you have to wait for 180 days and an email on how you could withdraw from the account would be sent. I report that even after waiting for the 180 days, my money is still held. I have tried to reach them on my phone but still I get automated phonecall. i dont get to speak with the agent. My money has been held for 329 days I received an email that they try reaching me on the phone but it was not going through.it is a lie. it is only fair that Paypal stays true to their policy, why is money held upto 329 days when their policy says that the limit is 180 days??

Consumer Complaint: I received a money payment deposit through my Venmo account for a pending purchase from a woman, who I later found out was the mother of a minor male customer who attempted to make a purchase with me. I do not sell to minors and was unable to reject the funds or return the funds once received from Venmo back to the customer through venmo. After serveral attempts to contact Venmo to get help, I transferred the money to my bank and after 2 days funds were available for me to withdraw, which I did in the form of a cashier 's check made out to the woman who sent the payment. After conversing with the minor customer and finally the mother who sent me the funds, I notified them the funds were being returned as promised directly into the bank account they provided me, an outside institution. On the same day that the deposit was made and the funds were available in the customers account, the woman who send me the deposit funds made a complaint to Venmo for refund through Venmo. Venmo sent me a notification that the transfer was in dispute at which time I immediately submitted a copy of the deposit receipt and the front side of the cashier 's check showing the refund was already sent and complete to the customers mother. Venmo the next day declined my evidence and refunded the customer and debited my account a negative balance for the same. Over the next XXXX weeks I made numerous chats with their company reps, requested appeal of the return as they directed me to and submitted the same proof documents via email to their payment support team. After a month the issue has not resolved and Venmo has not responded to my numerous requests for update.

She could not answer what actions I had taken could have caused such a decision. Therefore, I believe that this company did not respond to my claim. PayPal executive office rely to " high level of risk associated with your Account ''. However : XXXX. My account got only 19 completed orders on this account. XXXX. I got 0 complaints for all the time that I use this account. All my customers were happy. XXXX. On my previous account I had a XXXX of completed orders. I passed all checks from PayPal and my business wasn't " high risked ''. I didn't change my business since that. XXXX. I consulted with PayPal support about my account and actions and there was no problem with my account or anything. I'm not sure that PayPal even tried to check the problem closely because they didn't asked me for any documents or proves of fulfilment of my orders. I am happy to contribute to PayPal, but they do not give me a single opportunity to exonerate myself. Also they don't give any reasonable explanation for blocking my account.

Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to close my PayPal account since XX/XX/2022. They informed me through email after I closed my PayPal credit account within 7 to 10 days they could close my PayPal account. They have refused to close my account. I have a confirmation email and # XXXX that my PayPal credit account was closed as of XX/XX/2022 yet they refuse to close my regular PayPal account. I have spent over 6 hours on the phone with them arguing back and forth. I just want my account closed. I have followed their instructions and now it's time they do their part and close my account.
