Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, at roughly XXXX XXXX, I attempted to use my PayPal debit card at an ATM and was denied due to " unauthorized access ''. When I checked my PayPal checking account, I found that it had been " permanently limited '', allegedly due to some breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, the likes of which I am completely unaware of. Attempting to contact PayPal 's resolution center and speaking with their agents yielded no results -- they could and would not inform me as to the specifics behind PayPal 's XXXX team 's decision to place my account in permanent limbo. That account is literally my lifeblood, financially. It is where my payrolls are direct deposited to and I have bills that automatically draft from the account. I can not even access the funds that are in the account, money that I worked for, mind you, to transfer it to another account ; I have to wait for 180 days. I did not even get a heads-up that this was even happening. I literally woke up today thinking all was well and had I not attempted to make the withdrawal, I would likely not even know about my PayPal account 's status until I got a letter or a call asking why a payment hadn't gone through or my Internet or mobile phone service got shut off after I'm thinking it's being paid. PayPal did not follow best practices with regard to communication at all.

Consumer Complaint: PayPal created an account on my behalf without my consent and knowledge. PayPal kept sending emails to inform me that they restricted my ability to use the account they created on my behalf. I am not able to make purchases online through websites that use PayPal. I contacted PayPal and asked them to delete any account they created without my consent. Unfortunately, they refused to do so and asked me to provide sensitive personal information like driver 's license and utility bills via email. I refused to share my personal information with them. I contacted my financial institution/ bank to cancel my credit card and issue a new one. I don't want XXXX to have access to my credit card account. I tried to make purchases online, but I was not successful due to the restrictions imposed by PayPal. I am seeking your assistance in resolving this issue and being able to make purchases using my credit card without any interference from PayPal. I also would like to close the account that PayPal created without my consent.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, a friend transferred {$170.00} to me in a Venmon mobile payment service. I had an issue transferring the money in my own personal bank account so my daughter decided to transfer the money and it was accepted. I called Venmon to verify the transfer the following day and the bank account as required. In addition, on Saturday, XX/XX/2023, I called the representative and ask if there will be an issue with transferring the funds to my daughter 's account because it is not in my name due to having problems making a transfer in my own account, she said it would not be a problem as long as my daughter verified the account. The same day my daughter verified that the account along with the bank is in her name. On XX/XX/ 2023, I received an email stating that the funds were not accepted from the bank, therefore, Venmon has frozen my account and asked me to send a photo of my identity and I did so. I was told I had to wait 5-7 days to get my account unfrozen then XX/XX/2023, I received a second email requesting additional documentation of my identification and bank statement, although the document is not in my name as I explained to venmon I sent it any way they stated it not efficient enough. I need assistance at this point.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/22, my friend sent me repayment for a vacation we were taking together for {$290.00} on Venmo. That {$290.00} was deposited from Venmo to my bank account on XX/XX/22. On XX/XX/22, I received an email that the transaction between us had been marked as fraudulent, and as such, Venmo would hold the funds and withdraw them from my account while they investigate the dispute. My friend confirmed her bank account was hacked and this was marked as fraudulent, and she was dealing with Venmo and her bank. I emailed Venmo on XX/XX/22 with screenshots of the agreed upon amount between us and confirmation that the amount had already been deposited in my account. They responded to me that this process could take up to 75 days and I couldnt do anything. In the meantime, I received a payment from someone else for {$150.00} on Venmo for something completely unrelated and Venmo took that amount to help repay the {$290.00} they had over drafted my account. My account is frozen and the only way to unfreeze it is to pay {$140.00} that I do not owe anyone. The bank determined my friend was hacked, Venmo helped her re-open her account. I was not hacked and the payments between my friend and I have been solved. Theres no outstanding balance between my friend and I, however Venmo keeps telling me the only solution is to get repayment from my friend. They also have not sent her any money. If she sends me money, which she doesnt owe me, Venmo will take {$140.00} of it so Im still not receiving the full amount either way. Venmo will not respond to me and every response is to only do transactions with people I know and trust. I cant close my account because of the balance I owe. As of now, I want the {$150.00} Im owed returned back to me and to have my account closed. Im at a loss as to how to progress this.

These people are dedicated to extorting customers with falsehoods and slander, damaging customer accounts. The Agent named XXXX from the call center in XXXX, I spoke at XXXX XXXX, placed a permanent limitation on my account in an abusive and arbitrary manner. Reference ID : XXXX XXXX I needed help resolving a payment I was trying to process and the system wouldn't let me. The agent XXXX did not pay attention to my request and arbitrarily he said that the account should be limited. I felt so scared and decided to withdraw my money before he limited the account. Consumer Complaint: Hi, I have complain on Paypal, they banned my account ( XXXX ) without any reason, I know that my account is complying with all the rules and regulation of paypal, then suddenly they just banned it today ( XX/XX/2023 ). I already contacted paypal it is still on review and I want a help from you guys to have my account restored since I badly need it for my work and business.
