Consumer Complaint: I opened a small business account with Pay Pal in XX/XX/2022 and they have put a hold on my money ( {$10000.00} ) and are holding it hostage. They will not allow me to transfer any of my money to my linked bank account. I have a business to run and need the revenue. They never mentioned that there will be limit of any currency over {$2600.00} and that they would hold for 30 days and only release portions of it every 30 days. These are all credit card transactions that have already cleared with our various customers. So in reality they there is no reasoner for them to hold it. It could take up to 6 months for me to receive my total {$10000.00}. I have tried to resolve and they denied me. The person who helped me set up the account and works for Pay Pal is XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX. He has also tried to help me get my money but unfortunately was unsuccessful with the higher ups. Consumer Complaint: The company is Venmo. When I attempted to a pay a vendor on XX/XX/2023, Venmo froze my account and requested government issued photo ID in order to unfreeze my account. I immediately provided an image of my ID. When I contacted Venmo the following day ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX ), I was told that I would have to wait XXXX business days for the review process, and that the review process hadn't started as my issue had yet to be assigned to a XXXX. I was then informed by " XXXX '' ( the Venmo customer service representative ), that I would also not be allowed to access the funds in my Venmo account ( $ XXXX ) until the review process was complete. The Venmo customer service representative offered no way to expedite the review process, but did agree that freezing my money was unacceptable.

Paypal has yet to address these ongoing issues and it is unsafe to use. Please address asap. Paypal is holding my money for 7 days when the payment is not attached to any item or order. Thereis no pending sale. When I asked PayPal customer service to release my payment, I'm giving answers that do not relate to my situation. Like staying at hotels or pending payments, none of this applies.
