It was only opened for about a week and Venmo restricted my account has been holding {$100.00} on my account since XXXX and will not say why or give me my money. I am a single mother of XX/XX/XXXXchildren, going to school to become a XXXX and it is very hard doing this by myself. I need every XXXX I work for and receive. I don't understand how banks and business are allowed to just take someone's money and give them no reason as to why. I have tried over and over to speak with Venmo and get some type of answers but none is ever given to me. I followed every single one of their policies and it is sinister that our government allows business like this to stay open. They are stealing for single mothers and hard working people and nothin is done about it. Yet if my children were hungry and I stole some meat from the grocery store to feed them I would be taken to jail. I desperately need that money right now.There are days when I don't eat because I only have enough to feed my children yet I have {$100.00} in my Venmo account that I can't touch because Venmo thinks they can do whatever they want with my money and the government allows them too. I am not the only one having this problem because I researched it. How can you people keep allowing this to happen? I'm so frustrated right now. They freeze accounts use our money as they please and. give it back when they have it to pay back. This is hurtful in so many ways.

Consumer Complaint: i did a complaint yesterday $ XXXX and when I logged in today my paypal balance was XXXX and my cash rewards was XXXX I called the company and was put on a long hold I gave up and am now waiting on a call back I fell retaliated against I've never felt victimized by predatory activity like this. a day ago, before my complaint, i had nearly $ XXXX in cash rewards and don't recall my paypal balance but it was substantial so now I have XXXX, XXXX, and my credit limit still not back to the original $ XXXX. and I'm in a queue for when they call me back. thank you CFPB this is when little folks like us need somebody that can shine a bright light I didn't ask for any of this.

Consumer Complaint: I am a online seller, and paypal is XXXX payment method I am now using. My shop works well and is growing ok. XXXX months ago ( around the end of XX/XX/2022 ), PayPal did a lot of XXXX reviewing to my merchant, and hold all my money. After all reviewing they set my account a fixed XXXX $ amount on hold and they name it fixed reserve money, also they set a 15 % on-hold of my revenue in XXXX days. This just simply happened, I did not even agreed on it, and the customer service told me its a regular thing that many user will face, also they told me, this money can be released after XXXX days, also the 15 % can be adjusted after XXXX days. So I agreed on it and keep working on my shop, then here the XXXX days passed, I contacted the customer service tell them I need the money to be released, today they told me they refuse to release my money, all my money on hold will remain the same and I can resubmit the request after the next XXXX days!
