Consumer Complaint: I dont know. I never use PayPal. I might have used it once or twice in 20 years but I want to know where XXXX dollars plus change comes from. For years, I have been receiving unknown, mysterious emails about some problem with PayPal. Whether its not to go near that website or that I owe money or some other unknown correspondence that I have no recall. I pay all my bills on time. This must be at least 10 years ago at least if I even did this which I doubt it.

Consumer Complaint: Venmo froze my account for no reason and won't let me get my own money out of my account. They are refusing to let me withdraw my own money and are holding it hostage for no reason. They sent a email on Thursday making things up about me and saying they were going to freeze my account. They never came up with a solution and instead created more problems and sent money back to someone who bought merchandise from me that had lied on me to try to get their money back. Now they just sent me a email today Sunday saying they permanently deactivating my account saying i violated user agreement which i never did.

Consumer Complaint: After having my account used by someone else when my phone was stolen, I disputed quite a few transactions on my paypal account. I was refunded my money, but my account was permanently limited and none of the funds in my account are accessible to me for the next six months. I was also sent a message stating that I would be charged for every dispute that I filed after being a victim of fraud. Something called a high volume dispute fee. On XX/XX/16 I messaged through the app and emailed several departments trying to resolve the issue, as well as called PayPal and spoke to a supervisor who appealed the case. I have yet to hear back about my appeal and received a message the next day repeating the original account limitation information I originally received. I was never given a reason as to why my account was permanently limited by any representative and have hundreds of dollars locked in that account. PayPal has essentially stolen my money. I want access to my funds immediately.

Consumer Complaint: Paypal froze my account out of the blue one day while I was traveling in XXXX. Id used it for booking rooms and XXXX for approx. 2 weeks up to that point, and then suddenly XXXX, one morning I wake up in a foreign country with no ability to use my only payment option at the time. I used it the night before to book an XXXX, and then it was gone. They never told me why, although they told me they would tell me why. Ive sent emails, called, messaged them, all to no avail. I finally was able to speak to a human over the phone and he told me that I would recieve an email from them about rectifying my issue, but it would take approx. 5 weeks. Still nothing. I was under the impression that after 180 days had passed I would recieve instruction on how to get my money out of paypal, but nothing. I had cryptocurrency purchased and wanted to sell while it was up, but could not because of this issue. Now it has become a loss, and still I can not access my money. This is going on two years now. I feel they do this because memory becomes less clear after a time. How much money has paypal made by simply ignoring their customers for years? What a sham.

Consumer Complaint: Hi PayPal, A couple of weeks ago, someone hacked my PayPal account because I lost my mobile number and they were able to reset the password. I managed to recover the account a few times, but the hacker kept resetting the password and transferring all my money to two of their own PayPal accounts. Here are the transaction details : Transaction One : XXXX - Amount transferred {$180.00} USD Transaction Two : XXXX - Amount transferred {$96.00} USD I opened an unauthorized dispute, but it was closed, and the reply was that no authorized activity was found. I don't understand how this is possible. My money was transferred without my permission, and my PayPal account was permanently suspended without my knowledge. Now PayPal is telling me that the transaction is consistent with my PayPal history, but it was unauthorized.
