Consumer Complaint: Received this from PayPal : After a review, we decided to permanently limit your account as we found potential risk associated with it. You'll not be able to conduct any further business using PayPal. Based on this decision, if applicable, you are no longer eligible for PayPal Seller Protection as per our User Agreement. You'll also be charged a High Volume Dispute fee based on your activity for all existing and future cases you receive. Any bank or credit card information that's linked to your PayPal account can not be removed nor can it be added to another account. You can still log in and see your account information but you can't send or receive money. If you have funds in your PayPal balance, we'll hold it for up to 180 days. After that period, we'll email you with information on how to access your funds. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. I never was able to use PayPal and not sure why I am unable to use it. They had more than five days under 15 U.S. Code 1692g and are avoiding such duties.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is in regards to PayPal.com XXXX purchases. Have never had issues with PayPal until recently. Today I bought {$450.00} in bitcoin. PayPal charges fees to buy bitcoin and to sell bitcoin. I am now unable to send the bitcoin I purchased on their site to send to another merchant. Says that theirs is an error and I have tried XXXX times and keep getting the same message. PayPal customer service is absolutely no help whatsoever, if PayPal lets me purchase cryptocurrency on their platform then there should be no reason why XXXX cant transfer to another merchant. My only option now is to sell on their site and rack up more fees and charges to do so! PayPal should be sanctioned for these shady business practices and am considering filing a class action lawsuit as after doing more research this is a common matter with this company! My question is why isnt the CFPB doing something about this? Absolutely unacceptable business practices!

Consumer Complaint: Paypal- This matter is to deal with Paypal and Paypal credit. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a charge to a jewlery store using paypal credit inthe amount of {$7000.00}. The jewlery store could not fulfill the order and cancelled my transaction and stated they would refund the money immediately, a few days past and no refund, I contacted paypal/paypal credit to look for my refund and paypal credit filed a claim on XX/XX/XXXX and gave me a credit for the money. On XX/XX/XXXX i was credited as well from the merchant, At this point i was double credited and owed one of the credit back to paypal credit. I called on XX/XX/XXXX after realizing what happened to advise them to remove one of the credits and they stated they would on XX/XX/XXXX i received a email stating that they had mistakenly credited me twice and would be charging back one of the charges ( which I know I owed ) on XX/XX/XXXX i realzed a {$7000.00} charge was made on my paypal wallet ( not paypal credit where the original charge was made ) so I called paypal to have them move the charge to my paypal credit from my wallet, they said they would. On XX/XX/10 they re charged the charge back to my paypal credit account, but have NOT credited the money to my paypal wallet. so now I have the chage on my paypal credit account and have a negative balance on my paypal wallet as well ( being double charged I have called paypal and wait hours on hold to be hung up on and when i finally get through they state i must call paypal credit. when I do that I also am on hold for hours to be reffered back to call paypal, its like ping pong with no one being able to help I have documentation of everything.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 I was notified by Venmo that there was a dispute with a payment I received and they were taking the funds back. I didn't have the funds in Venmo to cover the amount removed so I transferred the money back to Venmo immediately. I argued the dispute and the person that started the dispute canceled it altogether and her bank issued a letter on XX/XX/23 that the dispute had been dropped and the funds would be deducted back from her account. On XXXX the funds were deducted from her account and given back to Venmo. I have attached documentation showing both of the claims. I had no idea she had canceled the dispute so I was still waiting the 75 days to hear what happened. I was contacted by the person that started the dispute on XX/XX/XXXX and was told that she had canceled the dispute and that I should have the monies owed to me. She provided the same proof I have attached for you to review. Venmo has had these funds since XXXX, I presented them the same attachments I have provided you and they still have not refunded me the money due to me ( {$1800.00} ) and I need this money.

They will not return my money. I was scammed by these fraudulent landlord imposters. This is so disappointing and I would like to recoever these lost funds since I am NOT getting a rental house - it was a total scam.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I was scammed by someone who got Venmo to pay them {$1400.00} from my account. Venmo tried to get funds back from my attached bank account but recognizing I was being scammed I immediately froze my account. Now Venmo calls me on a daily basis to get me to pay back the money. I dont feel like I am responsible because Venmo , as a financial institution should have recognized these transactions as fraud. Surely they had seen the same type of scam before and I feel they should have protected my account.
