Consumer Complaint: ayPal account statements dating from XX/XX/XXXX up to the current month, as these documents are required for me to successfully file my bankruptcy. I have contacted PayPal several times over the phone during the last six months in order to request these files ; however, they have continued to deny my request to access my own financial account statements. During my most recent call on XX/XX/XXXX, PayPal offered to send me physical paper copies of these requested statements in the mail. I agreed to this offer and was informed that my request would take 3 to 5 business days to process. However, as of today, XX/XX/XXXX, I have still not received these statements in the mail. at this point, I feel as though PayPal is intentionally and punitively withholding these necessary documents from me. As a user of PayPal products, I should have the right to at least view these documents, regardless of my accounts standing.

I am falling behind on bills to provide for me and my XXXX children. I spoke to several team members of Venmo and it has yet to be resolved. Ive sent my driver license several times as well and its still frozen. I tried to close the account but they said it has to be unfrozen first. I feel like they are scamming me.

Consumer Complaint: Complaint against : PayPal -I use PayPal to process payments for my business. -On XX/XX/2023 I processed a partial refund of {$50.00} to a customer. -While processing the refund the PayPal app continuously malfunctioned and relayed a message that my refund had not been processed due to a technical issue and to retry. -I retried several times. Eventually I closed out the app and restarted it. -Once I opened the app I saw that PayPal had actually processed 5 {$50.00} refunds. -I immediately contacted PayPal to cancel the refunds. -they instructed me to call my bank and issue a stop payment. -I complied and worked with my bank to stop the refunds. -Becasue PayPal mistakenly issued 5 refunds I was charged {$96.00} in bank fees. -on XX/XX/XXXX PayPal reissued 2 more refunds for {$50.00} each. -In total PayPal has cost me {$340.00} for this transaction. -On XX/XX/23 I called PayPal again requesting that they refund the amount they have cost me due to their failures. -They refused. The only option they have given me is that they will contact my customer and retrieve the money which is incredibly unprofessional for my business and harms my reputation as a business owner. -PayPal is responsible for the {$340.00} they have cost me.

Ive contacted them multiple times and they refuse to tell me why my account is frozen, now suspended and require me to email them and when I do I get no answers. Apparently the group that handles this doesnt have access to phones so there is no way to speak directly to anyone that can do anything. This is a joke and furthermore criminal that they can just deny you access to your funds for no reason at all

Consumer Complaint: Paypal has created backdoor access into customer funds. Paypal created secret " billing agreements '' that allowed a merchant to withdraw on my paypal funds without my authorization. They call it " automated payments. '' Anyday & anytime after a one & done transaction a merchant can submit an invoice of any amount to paypal to be paid with my funds. In XX/XX/XXXX, I went to a website and made a one-time purchase via Paypal for a year of streaming services. Then, I downloaded their official app and put down my debit card as my method of payment. Not Paypal. In XX/XX/XXXX I tried to end subscription before renewal date shown on my account. ( Renewal date on account was incorrect for unknown reasons ). The merchant submitted to Paypal a bill for a new year of service at a 37 % markup. Paypal deducted full amount from my wallet on XX/XX/XXXX. I called merchant for refund & cancellation. Merchant refused both. I submitted complaint to Paypal. In about15 minutes, Paypal claimed I had authorized payment & sided with merchant. I filed appeal with Paypal. I canceled unwanted merchant streaming service myself but it showed good thru XX/XX/XXXX. Paypal sent me link showing active billing agreement with merchant. It also showed 8 other such agreements with other merchants. Merchants like a one-time purchase of cleaning supplies, round trip train ticket, donation to a social cause, etc. One merchant even showed on the invoice that it was " one-time '' purchase but Paypal still created a backdoor agreement. At XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, I called the merchant again & received a full refund and immediate cancelation of service. Paypal also reversed decision and sided with me. By XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, my money was back in my Paypal wallet. I never made an agreement with those merchants for continued access to my Paypal wallet.
