Consumer Complaint: My XXXX loan with Navient was paid off on XX/XX/XXXX by the US Dept of Education. It has been over 6 weeks and my loan is still showing up on my credit report when it was paid in full over 6 weeks ago. This is damaging my credit score which is impacting my ability to obtain better interest rates, as I now show two XXXX loans ( one with Navient and one with US Dept of Ed ) on my credit report when I only have XXXX loan with Dept of Ed. I emailed Navient about this on XX/XX/XXXX and they have done nothing to notify the credit agencies that my loan with them was paid in full.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, I took out a XXXX XXXX XXXX with Navient. I deferred payment until XXXX. Since XXXX, I have repaid my loan without lapse or default. Monthly payments range from $ XXXX per month due to a variable interest rate. In XXXX, my loan was originated for {$15000.00}. Today, despite over {$29000.00} in faithful monthly payments, I still owe {$20000.00}. Something about this math does not make sense to me and feels usury. I believe they packed the interest payments for the entire loan at the beginning and I'm just now beginning to pay of principal.

Consumer Complaint: I submitted a payoff to Navient on the loan ending in XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, in the amount of XXXX, resulting in an overpayment of {$57.00}. Navient held onto this money for over 2 months due to internal policy, never asking me where to send repayment, and instead decided it must be the XXXX and issued a check that was sent to the wrong address. Regardless of whatever their internal reasons for delay were, this - {$57.00} balance was open and active from XX/XX/XXXX until it was finally returned to me on XX/XX/XXXX. And, per our contract, 5 % interest is due on any loan amount. I hereby demand Navient pay me due interest on their borrowing of {$57.00} for me for 2 months, which with 5 % daily interest on {$57.00} over 55 days comes to about {$0.00}. I wouldn't be this petty if it weren't for the equal treatment I've received from this savage monstrosity of a company. I request simply what I'm owed per our signed promissory note. Please find my signed promissory notes with Navient attached.

Consumer Complaint: I received a phone call from Navient, claiming that I have a student loan with them, which I don't. I have never had any account with Navient. The woman referred to Sallie Mae and said that they got my information from Sallie Mae. I had a private loan with Sallie Mae from about XXXX, which was written off sometime in about XXXX when my cosigner filed for bankruptcy. I did not hear anything from Sallie Mae about that loan or account after that. I checked my spam folder in my email and the first communication I have had from Navient claiming they hold my student loan was in XXXX, XXXX I dispute that I have any indebtedness to Navient, especially following their settlement with the various state Attorneys General in XX/XX/2022. I do not know if Navient has or will report this to my credit. The woman I spoke with, upon hearing that I dispute this debt said that collection efforts will continue.

Consumer Complaint: Each time I call Navient, Department of Ed, or email FASFA I receive different information. I currently have a Joint Spousal Consolidation Loan that is serviced by Navient. Law was passed on XXXX XXXX allowing the separation of these loans. I have called all three agencies to get information and am told there is no process in place. I called Navient about a forbearance while DoE figures out the separation process and was told that I need to continue to pay my and exes portion of the loan until it is paid off. I have filed for PSLF after 23+ years in public service under qualified employers and the application can't be processed and was told that it can't be processed until separation is complete. Navient says to call FASFA, I call them and am told to call Navient who then says to look on studentaid.gov where there is no information. No one has answers and in the meantime, I continue paying for a loan that should be forgiven and on a portion that isn't mine. I have asked Navient for a complete history of my loan. Payments as well as times in deferment/forbearance as was sent an incomplete list missing. The first papers were missing 12 years, when I sent them an email letting them know that is was incomplete they sent me a new one missing 10 years of history. Navient then said that since my loan had been transferred from servicer to servicer after they were all shut down there is no record of about 10 years of my history.

Consumer Complaint: Navient has been an absolute horrific business with deceptive business practices and customer service representatives who are tactfully trained to put students and borrowers into more and more debt. I originally obtained a loan from Sallie Mae ( who later transferred my loan to Navient ) to pay for my education in XXXX. Since then, though I've made many, MANY payments on time, there were times where I struggled and couldn't make my payment. Everytime I called, they regularly and routinely " forced '' me into forbearance and made it an effort to say that this was a great solution to my problem. XXXX did I know- the interest continued to mount and XXXX and though I borrowed {$7000.00} in XXXX, I'm STILL making payments in XXXX ( almost 10 YEARS later ). I know there was a lawsuit with Navient where they should be forgiving private debt and I've met the criteria. However, the representative I spoke with indicated they're waiting for a letter ... What letter could you possibly be waiting for? I meet the eligibility and you admittedly engaged in deceptive practices. I was XXXX or XXXX when I first took this loan. I'm almost XXXX and still paying ( and have already paid WELL over the XXXX originally borrowed ). The representative ended the call by reminding my my next payment was due on the XXXX. What the XXXX? Seriously?

Consumer Complaint: All 3 credit bureaus are reporting monthly three private loans with Navient. I have no knowledge of these loans. They are reporting loans were purchased from " XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. I reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX many times and they don't have any accounts associated to my name, social security number, or d/o/b. I have requested countless times from Navient to provide me the original master promissory note from XXXX XXXX XXXX and they have failed to produce the documentation. Navient Account XXXX was reinvestigated by XXXX and determined to be fraud and was deleted from my credit report and Navient is still requesting payment from me. XXXX XXXX XXXX can only give me a letter if i have previously applied for a loan since i never applied for any loans they cant provide me a letter. The three credit bureaus over the years have not conducted accurate investigations or provided me with documentation of the proof Navient has provided these loans are accurate. My university is suppose to approve loans distribution my university or Navient don't have any documentation on who approved these loans. By law Navient has to provide me the original promissory note from XXXX XXXX XXXX with a wet signature that i signed. I have yet to receive this information. All parties have done a poor job assisting me in finding a resolution. I filed a police report with the XXXX police i will attach and i reported this to the identitytheft.gov

Consumer Complaint: I've disputed accounts that were opened via identity theft with servicer between 3 to 5 times and they keep verifying the information is correct. I've told them to block the information also but they refused to do so. Their response was my dispute isn't valid, because I didn't identify the account I wan to be disputed/erased. I took all the necessary steps to remove the tradelines off of my report. They refuse to block info that I'm telling them is result of Identity theft
