Consumer Complaint: I obtained a loan from XXXX to move my loans from Navient to XXXX as I have had horrible customer service with Navient and they have been very shady. I calculated the interest on 10 days ( the amount of time it would take XXXX to pay off the loan ) and gave that value to XXXX. I have a screenshot showing where XXXX paid all of my loans in full. Navient is saying that the third loan which was for {$5000.00} in 2014 is unpaid and is trying to solicit payments from me. They are trying to get {$10000.00} for a {$5000.00} loan. This is fraud.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Consumer Complaint: The issue I am having is that there are late payments showing on all 3 credit reports which are holding back my credit score. I had received retro forbearance that covered the late payments AND paid the fees to do so. I have a statement showing those fees being paid. After numerous requests to correct those issues, correct the spelling of my name, or to just remove the account. I have received no resolution to my problems. The response comes back as verified accurate even though they will not provide me with any proof from the investigation. I have filled disputes online with all 3 bureaus. The account is paid in full and closed yet I can't get any help with corrections. The student loan is with Navient who are impossible to deal with and I have had the worst experience dealing with them.

Consumer Complaint: I had to select what I did in the describe selection although it is not the problem. Need to reference Complaint XXXX which I just happen to have had to reset my password and check back and found out it was closed with a response from the Company Sallie Mae.. They have tried to hide the fact that I was not disclose in anyway when they Scared me into printing out and signing a consolidation loan. They did not disclose that there was Verbiage in that Consolidation. that would later actually few month later that I would blocked my loan being paid off by Third Party Financial Institutions that where now allowed to Buy out Federal Student loans being Serviced by Sallie Mae. All my calls where recorded and Sallie mae heard from me alot throughout my loan cycle also the Ombudsman Group open a case on my behalf and there are recording with them too. Case XXXX the response that I have just finished reading is dodging the main problem? which was that they Deceived me when they pressured me to sign a consolidation Loan or go into Default Lets go the the Audio that they have and are required to acount for as they are a collection agency and practice that law which Im sure glad that they did. but will they ver release those conversations as well and all the emails I had wrote them as well as all the faxes that went there way before the Internet and email was even Known. Looking back this whole time it is my Thoughts that these folks knew about the impending bad reputation they had and the fact that alot of us after researching who these people where and what they where doing to all of us that there was many like myself who knew that Sallie Mae had been taking us to the cleaners with all sort of fees and Interest and just about anything that they could. I Urge that someone from the CFPB contact me as I will make it real clear what was done to me. and as I told Sallie Mae/ Navient Years ago when I found out about this Deceit and Deliberate actions anything that has taken place on my loan after this consolidation is Null an Void Period I did not sign that Consolidation with all the facts an actually was more as a Rush or your going to be going into default that's what they pushed over me Default got me to sign it saying that by combining my 2 small loans it would be easier to handle. My interest rates would go down and I would avoid defaulting. Never was there any mention that there was a clause that would come to do stop me from paying off my loan in full with the options that opened up for in in the near future. I look forward to seeing the day that I get this imprisonment be over and that given justice to this Deliberate and Un just practice with my Student loan. I accept what I owe the XXXX up until this consolidation loan was perpetrated against me. as of that date anything that has occured is Null and Void. I ask the CFPB to keep this New Complaint and its association with # XXXX I look forward to getting help with Court orders for retrieving all information that I an the Ombudsman Group have asked for, But now I need a Court Order even though I have them on my own recorded line Both Sallie Mae and Ombudsman group and everyone agreed that if I submitted a letter to the address I was provided asking for all those Audio recordings from XXXX - XXXX Emails and Faxed letters and Forbarnaces which also had handwriting from me.. way before Emails was even a thought about. Please reopen my Complaint and if you need to tie this information with the XXXX so be it .. or better yet lets hope I can speak to someone who is working on XXXX XXXX XXXX Thank you

Consumer Complaint: This is my second complaint with CFPB about Navient. My previous complaint received a copy and pasted generic response from Navient. I am fed up with dealing with this lender. I was never properly educated on how the interest would capitalize during my time in school and after. I was only given options for repayment that paid toward interest and in very small increments which has increased my balance over 150 % in the last 10 years. I owe 2.5 times what I borrowed and have my made payments since graduation I XX/XX/XXXX. The original lender, Sallie Mae, could not keep their end of the bargain and were conveniently allowed to just change their name and continue business as usual XXXX borrowers that were defrauded by their schools. When students realized they attended predatory and for-profit schools, the lender should have made attempts to work with the students for relief. It is absolutely unfair that I attended a school that lied about accreditation, did not educate me on cost and taking out loans, and eventually closed their doors ; making my degree a useless piece of paper. I am expected to pay back loans until XX/XX/XXXX, which will equate to over {$600000.00}!!!!!! GIVE RELIEF TO STUDENTS FRAUDED BY SCHOOLS THAT ARE NO LONGER OPEN THAT HAVE CREDITS THAT DO NOT TRANSFER!!!!! 1. unclear on capitalization of interest over time of loan 2. loan sale and resale without permission 3. loan capitalization that was over 3x borrowed amount 4. horrible customer service, only offer repayment options that make money for navient and never pay toward the principal 5. late fees before payment due date or when payment was applied twice in one month 6. unfair practices for borrowers, policies do not favor the borrower and lender makes enormous profit 7. estimate of my loan payoff is XX/XX/XXXX with a total payment of over {$600000.00} when I only borrowed {$68000.00}. HOW IS THIS FAIR OR LEGAL???? 8. can not say enough about the customer service. reps are unkind and I have been told things like if you can afford a mortgage or a car payment then you don't have your priorities straight and you can afford 25 % of your income to your student loans.

Consumer Complaint: I went to XXXX XXXX in XXXX. I received a loan from sallie mae and now it's Navient. I was in XXXX XXXX for 7 years XXXX to XXXX. I seen several informational articles that being i was in XXXX XXXX, I should have qualified for a public service forgiveness repayment program. Sallie Mae and Navient both denied me and told me I did not qualify because i was a XXXX XXXX. I was still considered as XXXX XXXX. I also have seen a school closure article that I as never told about either. When i asked navient about the school closure loan dismissal they did not give me direction on how to apply. My personal bank is the one that helped me with this information. Now that I am not in XXXX XXXX anymore, I do not qualify for that program. I feel I was misled and missed out on an opportunity to help me with my loans.

Consumer Complaint: I really have 2 problems with the way Navient has handled my account. First, I received a SMART Loan Consolidation on XX/XX/XXXX of which I have been regularly paying to Sallie Mae and then Navient. I have been a XXXX XXXX XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX and learned of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ) program. I applied for PSLF on XX/XX/XXXX. I subsequently received correspondence from Navient that I do not have the type of loans to qualify for PSLF. The Navient representative advised me to consolidate my loans to " under the right type of loans and make 120 more payments to qualify ''! Prior to applying for PSLF, I applied for XXXX Loan Forgiveness and was also denied. After receiving the denial for the PSLF, I decided to apply again for the XXXX Loan Forgiveness program on XX/XX/XXXX with the required documentation and Navient sent me yet another letter stating again that I was not eligible for XXXX Loan Forgiveness as I " did not meet the criteria ''. I contacted the Federal Department of Education and spoke with a representative who stated that I did in fact qualify for XXXX Loan Forgiveness. To this date, my loans have not been forgiven or cancelled. In addition to this, I have asked Navient repeatedly why there is such a variance as to how much is paid toward principal from month to month. Payments are not consistently applied. Please see attached payment history from Navient. The response I received was that " it depends on what day of the month I made the payment ''. I do not believe any of my payments were applied correctly. Finally, it is interesting to note that I have been contacted by Navient in both email and postal mail form asking me to apply for a Navi Refi. Well, it's very enticing in that the NaviRefi would substantially lower my interest rate ; however, I would lose Federal benefits such as XXXX Loan Forgiveness and Public Service Loan Forgiveness. I did apply for a NaviRefi and found eligible for 3.70 % interest rate compared to my current 7.625 % interest rate. However, I did not sign the paperwork because I did not want to give up the federal benefits and I still think my loan should be cancelled anyway through either XXXX Loan Forgiveness or Public Service Loan Forgiveness. My sense is that Navient is determined to not cancel student loans for any reason.

Consumer Complaint: I have tried over 6 times to get my loan re certified for the income based repayment plan. When I finally did get my loans into the repayment plan I have a monthly bill of {$120.00}. I've told Navient numerous times that I cant afford a monthly bill. My income is the only income available to pay bills. I'm paying rent, car insurance, water bill, electric bill and oil heat bill. On top of the bills I also have to pay for groceries. I'm struggling and I need proper assistance. Navient isnt answering my phone calls, returning my phone calls or responding to my emails. What navient does do is send me harassing emails. I'm sick and tired of Navient playing around with my livelihood. I cant afford for my paycheck to get garnished. I need help and I'm not getting any.

Consumer Complaint: Here are my notes from this dispute ... navient says i have A {$5000.00} loan dispirited to XXXX in which i was unaware of, XXXX never received, it is not on the national student loan website and there is no promissory note for this loan provided. It is ruining my credit score!!!! On top of that, i did have a {$2500.00} loan for XXXX University which i knew About, was applied towards XXXX and XXXX ( what was left over i only Attended XXXX for one semester ), i have And was provided a promisorry note on both sides and is on the national student loan website. They took my payments and dispersed my payments to both loans showing i never Paid off my original loan even though i did. Forced me into forbarence and did not offer me a repayment program due to my income without my knowledge. Ive disputed this with them and ombudsman group and i am Taking further action due to my age, family, income, and credit score diminishing due to this frustration. I just Want the loan removed as i never Signed for it, was granted it ( my parents make too much money ) and never received the loan! I have applied for loan forgiveness multiple times only to be denied. First, it was my loan was the wrong kind and I should consolidate. So, I consolidated. Then I had the wrong repayment plan. Its always something. I have been in public service for over 20 years total since before I went to college. I have paid off all my loans. I have literally been making payments for 18 years. I pay over 100 dollars a month. I have never missed a payment. I still have XXXX dollars to pay off. I am seeking loan forgiveness and I am just getting the run around. I should have been forgiving for my time as a XXXX and again now as a XXXX. I need help with this. I have paid enough. There are some class action suits that I am looking to be part of.
