Consumer Complaint: I sent in a {$5000.00} check. Wrote on the check to principle only. They didn't apply that XXXX to principle only. I called and told them. They told me it was automated that they couldn't do anything about. It was already done. Paying on the computer app and on website do not allow you to only pay principle. This is an evil company.

Consumer Complaint: Navient and XXXX XXXX should have been in forbearance as I was in a forbearance with another department of education servicer. The Navient and XXXX Loans should have been in Forbearance since XX/XX/2018 in that the other department of education loans were in forbearance. Navient and XXXX is reporting 90 day late on credit report but should have been in forbearance. Reference proof of forbearance for other department of education loan. ACCORDING TO THE STUDENTAID.GOV QUESTION AND ANSWER SECTION ... Q. Which of my federal student loans are eligible to go into forbearance or stopped collections status? A. Initially, if you choose forbearance or stopped collections status, it will affect ALL of your federal student loans that are owned by ED and are being serviced by your federal student loan servicer, including loans that are not eligible for borrower defense loan forgiveness, such as ( 1 ) loans taken out to attend another institution, and ( 2 ) any loans you have for which you are not asserting borrower defense. If you select forbearance and you have commercially held FFEL Program loans, ED will request forbearance on your behalf.

Consumer Complaint: I never went to this school or any school. I never obtained Federal Student Loans of any kind. The information on my credit report is fraudulent. I have made an identity theft report to the police several years ago, yet Navient is still posting negative marks on my credit report. Please make this stop so I can go about my life with decent credit. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: Currently to pay your loan serviced by Navient over the phone you have to give your full social security number ( SSN ) or your account number. The option of giving my full SSN to the employee that answered my call to verify the account means that this employee already has access to my SSN and not an abbreviated version of it. It concerns me that people at this level of employment have access to this detailed information. In today 's society with security breaches that seek to steal peoples personal information and the ramification of these known issues gravely concerns me that Navient would open themselves and their customers to such a large liability. The amount of customer service representatives that have access to this information not only nationwide but globally is extremely concerning. I hope my concern gives rise to the potential damage to the more than 12 million debtors that Navient currently services. The only employees that should have access to this information should be at the point that they are in litigation about payment of loans. Trying to pay my loan which is reducing my debt and not adding to it should not have such revealing information attached to the process.

Consumer Complaint: Navient contacted me to help me lower my payments. They Charged me {$890.00} to be made in 2 equal payments. The first payment was scheduled for XX/XX/2019 and the second for XX/XX/2019. I went to the bank this morning to make the deposit and the check had already come in and had been returned. I can't get anyone to answer the phone and the bounced check cost me {$32.00}. Navient also told me that my payments would be $ 40- {$50.00} per month. When I got the approval from the Dept. of Education, the payments were set at $ XXXX- {$480.00}. I can't afford these payments and they Knew it. They took my money anyway.

Consumer Complaint: Navient misdirected me into student loan forbearance yet ignored my best interests in violation of its government contract to prevent me from moving to XXXX ( the student loan servicer that administers the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program ), so that Navient could continue to earn fees. For my loans to be in forbearance they accumulate thousands of charges each month making it nearly impossible to pay.

Consumer Complaint: This year in XX/XX/2019, I sent Navient an IDR form letting them know I have no income, due to XXXX XXXX and being left destitute by my abuser. Yet on XX/XX/2019, they harass me by letting me know of amounts like {$26.00} is due. They accept the IDR form, yet they continue to harass and charge me. I have no income, money, nothing. Its predatory. I've defaulted on my loans, then filled IDR forms, due to a history of poor health and abuse. Yet they harass and badger me after they accept the IDR form.

Consumer Complaint: This is regarding Navient. I have repaid all student loans as of XX/XX/2019. There is a XXXX balance, yet Navient still lists the loans as being in repayment. I have called and emailed numerous times for written confirmation that my loans are repaid in full, to update the status as being repaid, and to close the account. They have not done so, nor have they reached out to me with any information.
