Issue: Struggling to repay your loan
Subissue: Can't get other flexible options for repaying your loan
Consumer Complaint: I have originally filed a complaint about navient. They put my student loan in forbearance And I did not agree. After contacting them they agreed to take the loan out of forbearance did not claiming the co-signer is paying it. That we signed a forbearance. I have disputed this and asked to see the signed forbearance still nothing. This company has tacked on outrageous amount of money. They also lied stated that the loan is being repaid. First time it was {$2.00} next time {$110.00} now it says {$0.00}. They are creating their own payment schedules and forbearance. Originally when contacted by this company I disagreed with amount and they insisted its fees. They also insisted that nothing could be done and a forbearance was the only way to go. I do not work nor have taxable income. This company has committed fraudulent activity. Yet an still doesnt hold their end of the bargain. I have disagreed with a forbearance. I have disagreed with paying this loan due to financial hardships. They have also lied said theres an over payment yet no account is on file for autopay. Even while in school they claimed I couldnt have a deferment.

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: Hello, I believe that I was impacted by the allegations that Navient has misapplied my loan payments. I recently refinanced my loan, and in the process of reviewing the amount that I had already paid to Navient, I noticed that every payment I made in XXXX was applied to interest ONLY, not to principal at all. One of the main reasons that I refinanced is that I felt I could never make headway on my student loan balance, and upon seeing that my payments were never going to principal, I see why I could not make headway. The record is very strange, in XXXX I paid very little to interest, and then suddenly in XXXX, ALL of my payments began to be changed to being applied to interest ONLY, despite the fact that I was on an income-based plan both years. I found Navient 's website difficult to use, felt that they made their website difficult to navigate and obtain clear information about my payments on purpose, and felt that they are difficult to communicate with. Now I see that these problems advantaged them- I was not able to easily see that they were applying all of my payments to interest only. I have contacted Navient to ask them to change the application of these payments, but am unsure if they will be able to do so now that the payments are over 2 years old and the loan has been refinanced. This problem resulted in my paying over {$24000.00} in INTEREST ONLY to my student loans and {$0.00} to principal for the whole year of XXXX. I am furious. I am struggling and scrimping to pay off my student loans. I have been pouring every dollar into my loans and I am furious to find that Navient has been taking advantage of my increased ability to pay. XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I have several loans being serviced by Navient, one is a Dept of Education loan. I have made a number of payments to the DOE loan and on XX/XX/XXXX looked online and could not see payments that I mailed last month posted. I provided Navient via email on their site, the most recent check # s made & sent to pay the loan at the XXXX, GA XXXX address that I always mail the payments to, and requested for them to look into it. I have not received a response. However, the second request I made the same day via email ( through the Navient site ) to change the payment date for the other 2 loans, to match my pay period at work was denied -- NOTE : that email was IMMEDIATELY responded to by Navient. They also make it difficult to retrieve my communication with them via email through their site but are quick to email me regarding late payments ( pdf doc in their website under my profile ). This morning, I set up Bill Pay through my financial services department, so that Navient will stop charging me late fees. I can absolutely understand why people get frustrated and file complaints against Navient.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Old information reappears or never goes away
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2019 I consolidated all of my Navient student loans with XXXX servicing. The new loan appears accurately on my report. However, my XXXX Navient loans appear as follows : {$0.00} balance, paid, current and closed. I am seeking the removal of all closed and late patents connected to these accounts if possible. I reached out to Navient but they said that I had to contact the credit bureaus for further information. I have sent letters to the three major bureaus in XX/XX/2019. That above status remains. Im simply needing clarification or the removal of the accounts along with any negative reporting/late payment history that is now current.

Consumer Complaint: Im trying to settle my loans for a lesser amount as they are now being handled by a collection agency called pioneer credit recovery services ( pcr ) I was told by a representative there that they were refusing to send my offer to the original creditor assendium even after i sent 2 emails requesting them to do so one of the emails included the financial statement they requested I was also told by the rep that they are garnishing me so they will just get all the money that way to which I felt threatened and forced to try to get copies of personal records and send it in to them. Im in a serious financial crisis and am trying to clear this up to the best of my ability without my family and I loosing everything but this PCR company is making it nearly impossible I have offered to pay XXXX as a settlement in full and would like and need them to except this as this is all I have to give
