Consumer Complaint: I have 2 federal student loans totaling a little more than 5000.00. My loans have been in deferment but they are reporting 10 late payments on each. Last year I refilled out the paperwork and sent it in and it was not processed. As soon as I noticed i immediately called and emailed and they fixed the problem but yet they are still reporting I paid it late. I did not. This was an error. It was just an accident and while I am not upset the accident happened, it is unfair to bring my credit score down by almost 100 points over payments that were not late. Im a single parent and XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am having a horrible time finding loans to get me through because of these reported late payments. I was not late ... I filled out the paperwork on time. It is not my fault it was not processed correctly. I am begging you to please take off these late payments. Everything else I have has always been paid on time but these reported late payments are ruing everything for me

Consumer Complaint: I called the company because they call me repetitively stating I need to pay. This loan was taken out in XXXX!!! I originally borrowed XXXX ... I have been paying for over 12 years now and my bill is close to XXXX??????? How is that possible??? How does this bill keep going UP? Over 12 years it should have been paid off multiple times .... I feel like this is predatory and not honest. I feel as if they never applied my money paid and just kept on packing on interest. When I called to discuss this, they said they are private and this is what I owe, nothing they can do about it. There has to be something. I pay XXXX dollars a month so simple math ... XXXX times 12 months is XXXX times 12 YEARS is XXXX ... thats almost 3 times what I borrowed? Is this legal?

Consumer Complaint: Countless requests via phone and recently email, have been made by me to Navient to apply my over payments to principal and do not advance my due date. Each time I was told that they would make the change. I would see the change for one month and then my due date would be advanced.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, 2020 Navient tried twice to take a total of {$35000.00} out of my checking account ( in increments of {$5000.00}, {$10000.00}, {$10000.00}, {$10000.00} ) each time. XXXX XXXX XXXX returned the items each time for insufficient funds and charged me with a total of XXXX NSF fees of {$35.00} each ( which XXXX reimbursed me for when I explained what happened ). I had made an agreement with XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX with Navient ( who I received a letter from stating our agreement and have attached with this document ) to settle my sons ( XXXX XXXX ) private loan debt of {$82000.00} for {$35000.00}. It all depended on me getting a home equity loan - which is still in process and will most likely close later next week Ive been told by XXXX. XXXX requested my account information to do the payment with electronic funds transfer. He stated it had to be done that way, He said he set it up to come out of my account XXXX. XXXX ( because we began this process mid XXXX and he said he had to use that date but could extend the agreement if the home equity loan hadnt gone through yet ). I kept him updated on a regular basis and called him on XX/XX/XXXX and told him it would take a little longer for the loan to go through and to not try to take out the funds. He said ok. But as stated above, Navient tried twice, even after calling XXXX about the first time they took out the {$35000.00}. He apologized and said it was a mistake and told me it wouldnt happen again - but it did. XXXX XXXX XXXX has blocked Navient from withdrawing any more money from my account. When I close on the home equity loan, I will send them a check instead for the agreed payoff amount. I definitely dont trust them and am shocked they are still allowed to be in the educational loan business.

Consumer Complaint: Navient should have set my student loans to 0 % interest starting XX/XX/2020 until XX/XX/2020, to comply with the CARES Act. However, Navient did not set my loans to 0 % interest and interest is still accruing. Federal official website shows that my loans should be set at 0 % interest. I have attached information from Navient and Federal Student Aid to document. I tried calling Navient but was never able to get through and also sent them an e-mail to which I never got a response.

Consumer Complaint: I have a student loan from Navient to pay for my student expenses from XXXX College where I received an XXXX degree in XXXX and XXXX. I have paid this loan diligently for years. In XX/XX/XXXX I started to make large payments to this loan so that I could finally pay it off. However my loan balance does not reflect this. My XXXX XXXX loan balance was {$57000.00}. I paid a total of {$23000.00} from XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XX/XX/XXXX yet loan balance on XX/XX/XXXX was {$41000.00}. I asked Navient why my balance did not reflect my payments and they sent me a confusing response that I did not understand, about prime numbers and fixed variables. On XX/XX/XXXX my loan balance was {$41000.00} and the next day when I checked on XX/XX/XXXX my loan balance was {$41000.00}. Which means my loan balance had increased by {$17.00}. When I queried this, they were vague and confusing, letting me know the percentages of my loan interest, which incidentally did not gel with mine. On the XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX and on the XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I noticed I was charged a total of {$51.00} by Navient for something called a Loan Sale. I queried them about this and as usual they gave me a confusing response that I did not understand. However they insisted that my loan was not sold.
