Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer
Subissue: Need information about your loan balance or loan terms
Consumer Complaint: My complaint is with Navient. In the month of XX/XX/20 I received a notice of Recertify your payment plan notice that has no money owed, document sent Navient recertify payment plan. The notice state your new monthly amount will take effect when your loans re-enter repayment. Navient I need to know student loans owed with original amounts dates, interest accrued and lender name. By law I am entitled to know. I do not owe any student loan. Also the {$600.00} monthly payment for 12 months amount does not represent any principal amount owed for student loans with dates and interest. The $ XXXX monthly payment states how much Navient request only.

Issue: Struggling to repay your loan
Subissue: Can't temporarily delay making payments
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX of XXXX I was going through financial hardship and was late on those payments. I hit points of not having internet, phone, or vehicle to get into contact with this company. I have been deferring both loans recently due to the coronavirus outbreak and the hardship I am dealing with at the moment.

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern : 1. NAVIENT continues to charge student loan interest on my federal loans despite the federal government passing the CARES Act that suspends interest on federal loans from XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/2020 because of the CORONA VIRUS. 2. NAVIENT continues to process my monthly student loan payment incorrectly in order to ACCURE INTEREST and LATE FEES. Thank You

Consumer Complaint: I just learned on XX/XX/2020 that Navient requested and received a hard copy of my credit report. I never authorized this transaction or requested or applied for a loan with this company. Navient continues to act recklessly, carelessly and unethically.

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: I received a message that a payment made last month was not enough to cover what was due. I pay in excess of what is due each month. If I did not pay enough as they claim are they contacting me about this one month later? I also notice that my account statement shows payments sent but not applied to my account yet .... also saying they are past due. Once again Navient is not applying payments correctly.

Subissue: Received bad information about your loan
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I attended XXXX a couple of weeks and withdrew because we moved to Arkansas. I never heard anything from them. XXXX we filed Bankruptcy and told we have a clean slate. In XXXX I was notified by mail about a student loan debt. I told them I didnt have a student loan debt. It is not on my credit report. Since a year ago the amount changed from under {$2000.00} to nearly {$9000.00}. The whole cost of school is under {$2000.00} I think. Since then I consolidated them and they switch to Navient. I did this because the website said then I could get them discharged. I applied for school closure because it applies and XXXX XXXX states it qualifies because you cant transfer credits from a closed school. Navient denied it. Now I have applied for Borrowers defense because I was misled a lot and also not told they applied me for loans. I also found articles that I am not the only one there is a lot of people. Why wont they discharge mine?

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: In regard to NAVIENT and XXXX, I had sent a " Goodwill '' request to Navient, asking them to fix the errors ( not delete them ) before disputing the reporting errors with XXXX. The letter Sally Mae and Navient sent back in response was that they are 'accurately reporting and can not change the rating status '. XXXX XXXX response was that they 'Updated the Rating on the Accounts ' ( see attached documents ) I will, again after submitting this complaint, write to both entities, again, to inform them that they are STILL and willfully and incorrectly, against the laws of the FCRA and FDCPA, reporting my account as accurate and complete. Not only is there an immediate jump to 90 days late, there is another immediate jump to 120 days late following years of on-time payments. FOR ALL 12 ACCOUNTS. I have run out of means of assistance, except the CFPB. Please help me fix this.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter that I am sure is a scam because I don't have a student loan, and I haven't had one since the late XXXX. This came in an envelope that looked just like it would come from the U.S. Dept of Education/Navient, but I'm reasonably certain it must not have because of the aforementioned fact that I don't have any outstanding student loan debt. It claimed that I had taken out two loans in XXXX and one in XXXX and that these are currently unpaid, and it was claiming they've applied a temporary disaster relief forbearance on these nonexistent loans. I am not writing because I'm afraid I owe money but rather, I don't want others to be somehow defrauded by whoever this is. I'm fairly certain it isn't actually Navient. Are you the people I would contact, or would I send a complaint to my local police? I just want to make sure others aren't taken in by this.
