Consumer Complaint: Navient has been using unfair business practices, inaccurate credit reporting ; inaccurate and fraudulently application of student loan payments ; Providing me with false and misinformation. Continuous violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Act. Please request these two loans, one subsidized and on unsubsidized loan with Navient discharged ; these loans were fraudulently executed by XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX CA ; The school has since closed, and was not credited and mislead students with the cost of school, the accreditation and did not provide transcripts, and or diploma. These loans should of been discharged due to school closure ; Navient has my student loans set up to only have payments being applied to interest. None of my payments are being applied to the principal balance ; I have called several times and requested by mail, email and telephonically to discharge these fraudulent loans. Requested accurate information of the status of my account. Payment are only directed to interest. I am very concerned that Navient is operating a fraudulent, student loan servicing organization. Please discharge these loans immediately and report to the credit agencies accurate information as discharged. Respectfully, XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Navient has called me over 30 times since XX/XX/XXXX, every day 4 times a day. Based on information from the Government all student loans should be on forbearance, As part of the federal legislation passed on Friday, XX/XX/2020, we have suspended payments and interest accrual on all U.S. Department of Education ( ED ) owned loans until XX/XX/2020. They have charged me every month since than. I logged on today the past due fees were still there and my forbearance only had only 43 days left. In addition, it'slisted that I have a payment due in XXXX ... Why am I being billed in XXXX if the forbearance is current until XX/XX/XXXX? They reported delinquency to the credit bureau over 60 days. How is that possible if my payments were discontinued, per federal legislation payments were suspended on XX/XX/XXXX? Furthermore they sent me a text message asking if I need forbearance, I responded yes.. I am in the process of filing a compliantwith the XXXX, Pleaseadvise Navient to remove delinquencyon my creditreport, and make my acct current. I have been paying on time for about 3 years ; I stopped when Covid 19th started. Please fix this

Consumer Complaint: As per Navient and Exhibit Smoking Gun 1, I partially paid ahead for XXXX. My typical IBR payment is {$320.00} but with overpayment my XXXX amount due was {$280.00}. As per Navient and Exhibit Smoking Gun 2, I paid {$500.00} on for the month of XXXX. Therefore, overpaying by {$210.00}. Since I overpaid by {$210.00} for the month of XXXX this amount should be applied to my XXXX amount due. Therefore, with the typical IBR payment due of {$320.00} ( Payment Due ) - {$210.00} ( Overpayment ) = {$100.00} should be due for XXXX. However, as Exhibit Smoking Gun 2 from Navient shows they show the incorrect amount due for XXXX as {$320.00}. Navient Must send a correct Payment Invoice for {$100.00}.

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: To Whom it May Concern, I have been dealing with this issue with Navient since 2013. I am a recipient of the XXXX LRP program. I filed a complain with you ( XXXX ) regarding the reapplication of my LRP benefits. I have since received a report and I am far from pleased. What I asked for was the payments to be applied to the principal and interests for loan 1, 2 and 3. This should leave a balance of XXXX based on my calculation and anything extra should role over to loan 4. I was disgustingly shocked by the report received from Navient. Now I understand why roughly a million students default on their student loans every year. The Principals for loan 1, 2, 3 and 4 are as follows : {$13000.00}, {$14000.00}, {$10000.00}, and {$16000.00}. According to the report received, the principal balances reflect the following in the same order : {$15000.00}, {$16000.00}, {$12000.00}, and {$19000.00}. As you can see this is a huge difference from the principal Navient is showing on their website. These figures do not include the interest accrued of the years prior ( since XXXX ). I was expecting to wipe out the total balances of loans 1 to 3 and may have extra money remaining to pay some of loan 4. This issue is becoming too much for me and my family. I want to get this behind me. I have been cheated. My father is very much incapable of repaying these loans and my sister and I want to pay them in it's entirety. He can not keep a steady job and the monthly payments for all these loans are equivalent to more than his monthly salary. At this point, I am more interested in coming to a settlement. I am willing to pay Navient {$45000.00} in 120 days. This is all the money I have in my 401K, savings and I will sell my car and some of my furnitures. I want to get this behind me. I have a history of mental illness. With the pandemic and all that is taking place in this world, I need to put Navient behind me for my sanity sake. There are so many layers to this insanity that I am no longer willing to entertain. I was to hear a balance of $ XXXX $ XXXX after the payments are recalculated. Nothing about this is right. Please take the settlement and allow me to move on from this. A this point in time I am exhausted. I am medically retired from the military and is dealing issues related to my illness and medical care. I can not take this nonsense. I do not understand what is going on and I am exhausted.

Consumer Complaint: I recently received an email from Navient stating that my federal loan payment was due on XX/XX/2020. Administrative deferment from the CARES Act states that student loans can not be due or accrue interest until XX/XX/2020. I got no response when I raised this concern. I also submitted paperwork to have my loans discharged due to a medical diagnosis, which negatively impacts my ability to be gainfully employed. Despite submitting the paperwork months ago, I have yet to even receive an acknowledgement that the paperwork was received. I'm very concerned that after XX/XX/2020 I will be asked to pay back loans when I am making poverty wages despite submitting my paperwork with ample time to process.

Consumer Complaint: I have repeatedly requested a correct accounting of all payments and interest on my loan. Recently I received a statement from Navient that incorrectly accounts for principal and interest paid on this account. As a result I can not determine the accuracy of their numbers. I have been making payments that are larger than the requested payments. An example of this is the period from XXXX toXXXX ( the last they listed on the statement they sent me in XX/XX/2020 ). During this period I paid {$10000.00}. During this period there is no change in the principle balance. I have calculated my interest rate and more than half the payment should have been applied to principle. I am requesting an accurate accounting for this loan that shows Payment made and date Interest charges Any other charges When I received this statement I called them and they assured me this statement was correct. I can not see how this is possible because I have made payments that are larger than the payment indicated on my statement every month. It is a shame that I have to make this complaint but I feel that my requests for an accurate accounting for this loan have been ignored and that the documents they have provided demonstrate fraud on their part.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I applied for an Income-Driven Repayment plan along with proof of my unemployment payments and submitted to my server Navient. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter indicating they were unable to process my IDR plan because I provide a proof of income but the document was not dated and that the document did not have a portion of it that was income taxable. On XX/XX/XXXX I resubmitted my original certification from unemployment with more dates, my weekly benefit amount, thr income tax withholding and payment issued. On XX/XX/XXXX, Navient sent me another letter stating what was on the first letter. I called Navient and they stated the print out from XXXX was not good enough and that I need to write down what I get from unemployment with the date that I wrote the letter included. I expressed that the document Government document was all I had to show my income and that XXXX restricts from printing certain documents. Navient told me that they would not proceed processing my IDR.
