Consumer Complaint: Sallie Mae keeps harassing my family and my boyfriend. Not only is this embarassing but the customer service representative can't even pronounce my last name properly. They called so many times that XXXX thinks it's a spam caller. This is a pandemic, I have not been working since XX/XX/2020 and can not find a job that will hire me. I don't know how they got my brother 's cell phone # or my boyfriend 's phone # after explaining my situation. I don't have much source of income and struggling with health condition. I need this to stop, I do receive letters and can barely make ends meet.

Consumer Complaint: I have submitted my Chapter XXXX Discharge paperwork NUMEROUS TIMES!!! Due to an injury, I am NO LONGER ABLE to work. Under my chapter XXXX, I lost my business, my retirement, everything I had and the judge declared by case to be a hardship case and ruled that even the student loan to NAVIENT was discharged. NAVIENT was aware and, as indicated in the paperwork I am RESUBMITTING, had reported to all the credit bureaus as CLOSED/CHAPTER XXXX BANKRUPTCY. 2 years later, they decide to pass it off AFTER BANKRUPTCY to a XXXX for " collection '', which is totally ILLEGAL! Now, both XXXX AND NAVIENT are reporting to all the credit bureaus that this DISCHARGED DEBT is PAST DUE! It was NEVER past due! EVER. It was deferred or in forbearance, but NEVER LATE! I am REALLY, REALLY tired of these companies getting away with reporting something that was LEGALLY under FEDERAL LAW DISCHARGED. I am about to file a law suit against them and I will drag in every doctor, judge and person I know for the pain and infliction these companies are causing to my credit. I have had ENOUGH! HOW MUCH DOCUMENTATION does it take to get SOMEONE to REALLY DO SOMETHING?? PLEASE!!! LOOK at the attachments! THE DISCHARGE PAPER FROM THE COURT is CLEAR! THEY CAN NOT COLLECT on a DISCHARGED DEBT!!

Consumer Complaint: Recently received an email from my federal student loan servicer Navient, which is intended to exploit students in repayment who may not be aware that federal student loans are in a temporary 0 % federal forbearance period already. The email is intended to look like it is offering students information that may help them by responding yes to the email, but then if you scroll down in the page it goes on to read that by replying yes, you are agreeing to applying for forbearance and that you will be responsible for accruing interest, plus a list of other terms and agreements that you are agreeing to. This is a predatory practice because all federal student loans are already temporarily in a government mandated Forbearance, and in a 0 % interest period due to the pandemic. It is highly unethical to change students over to forbearance for financial hardship -of which you are only permitted to use for a total of three years during the lifetime of your loan repayment under normal circumstances, when the federal government has automatically put loans into this state which will not be subject to the same limitations. They are basically tricking students into waving their current rights and status, for a less desirable option which will limit their ability to claim forebearance in the future, and disguising it as help. This is only helping Navient, who will be able to limit the amount of time those students can claim forebearance for financial hardship in the future.

Consumer Complaint: I usually pay Navient a monthly payment of {$650.00}. I have not had a check returned for insufficient funds or been late with a payment. My payment is due by the XX/XX/XXXX of every month. I mailed my XXXX payment of {$650.00} on or about XX/XX/2021. Upon checking my bank account around XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed a DOUBLE withdrawal of {$650.00} ( an admitted error by Navient ). I called the bank and placed a stop payment on that check # XXXX ONLY Arc # XXXX. I thought check # XXXX would clear as payment, but it never did. Therefore, my account was considered delinquent. Ok. On or about XX/XX/2021, I began receiving phone calls at XXXX requesting the XXXX payment. I said I would mail it the next day. The rep said she would " note it '' on my account. It ( a check for {$1300.00} XXXX was maled on XX/XX/2021, which would cover the XXXX " delinquent '' payment and the next due XXXX payment. The following week, I received at least two evening calls and a call on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX from Navient again demanding payment! I explained again that I had already mailed the payment ... it was implied I had not! On Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received another call. Since I had received my check back, I went ahead and paid {$1300.00} from my debit card as a ONE TIME payment. The confirmation # is XXXX. Using a debit card is NOT a payment practice I choose to continue. I have always paid by check and wish to continue, and I should have every right to. On Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Navient dated XX/XX/XXXX telling me my account was INVALID that I must go to the bank and obtain a letter stating my account was not invalid. The account was and is not invalid. My check for {$1300.00} was also enclosed with the letter to me stamped VOID with no explanation as to why. The XX/XX/XXXX date PROVES my check had been received, prior to the harassing calls I received thereafter, but the payment had been rejected, and I was harassed instead of being informed. I went to the bank this morning, and was told the bank does NOT call or write letters as proof of account validity. My account IS VALID. When I returned home, I called Navient. I spoke to rep " XXXX '' and her supervisor, " XXXX '', who were both rude. PROBLEM : I was not given a reason for the declaration of INVALIDITY on my checking account. I deserve an explanation. XXXX refused to correct the situation. My checking account is NOT invalid!!!!! XXXX said the declaration by Navient IS the reason and I deserve no further explanation. The double charge was originally a Navient mistake. Now it seems I am being continually punished for protecting my interest and not wanting or needing to pay double in XXXX. The account is up-to-date. My account should be reinstated and my check accepted for future payments.

Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all facing which has me sitting still at home and I saw the recent news about the multiple XXXX Data breaches. I decided to look at my credit reports from the 3 major credit bureaus and found that someone had used my Identity. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I did not receive any money, goods, or services as a result of identity theft. I contacted the Credit Bureau and told me to file an Identity Theft Report which I am doing. I appreciate your effort in getting this matter resolved. Thank you. Please let me know if you need any other information from me to block this information from my credit report. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: Last year I had an income based forbearance in effect due to expire XX/XX/XXXX. When the Trump administration delayed payments for everyone, only the interest accrual was affected & Navient sent a letter explaining how the interest would work and that was it. Since XX/XX/XXXX I've been getting harassing phone calls and emails from Navient demanding I either pay {$430.00} by XX/XX/XXXX or I reply " YES '' to an automatic economic hardship forbearance that will accrue interest to be added to my principal balance after the forbearance period is over ... which, according to them, will be in one month. According to the announcements made by the Biden admin and on Navient 's own website, I'm required to do nothing. The interest is supposed to be set at {$0.00} and payments voluntary, yet I'm being harassed daily to either pay or circumvent the 0 % interest guaranteed by Biden until XX/XX/XXXX by applying for this specific forbearance. I'm afraid to contact Navient at this point because I simply don't trust them. They are also trying to get me to pay " late fees '' that were forgiven by Sallie Mae in years prior, that suddenly popped up in XXXX. I've repeatedly asked for help with getting XXXX forgiveness only to be given " income driven '' deferment/forbearance instead. All of my loans are Government issued. I've never applied for private or school-sponsored lending.
