Consumer Complaint: I am a co-signer and make notations on each payment stub the allocation and additional funds to be applied to the principal. Navient once again, misapplied payments. Total amount paid for XXXX which they received XX/XX/XXXX 4 bills ). Loan # XXXX paid XXXX they applied {$330.00} XXXX ; # XXXX paid {$150.00} they applied XXXX - {$100.00} ; # XXXX paid {$200.00} they applied {$100.00} - {$100.00} ; # XXXX paid {$120.00} they applied {$92.00} - {$30.00}. The misappropriation of loan # XXXX caused additional accrual of the awful interest algorithm linked to student loans. Each month I write explicit directions on each payment stub and the total amount paid across the four loans. I also take photographs of stubs and check. The deregulation of student interest rates in XXXX continues to add to the coffers of Navient/Sallie Mae adding life long stress to their underemployed student borrowers and their co-signers. I have been going through these struggles since XXXX and advise all to never take out private student loans. I learned of the deregulation after much research in XXXX. Had my sons and I known of the deregulation, they would have attended local state schools avoiding these horrific interest rates and the consumer manipulations of XXXX year old borrowers. In addition, the principal is a combined original loan and left over interest from Sallie Mae ... rolled into a new principal that Navient charges interest on. Very manipulative and sneaky. Consumer Complaint: XXXX promised me they would help me find a job if I ever needed help. They never helped and out out of business. Stuck with school loan for 21 years now. Maintained job that doesnt provide enough to help me pay it down. They added another XXXX to it some how thru there tactics. Not sure how to prove that as I cant find where they upcharge me ect. I still owe XXXX with a XXXX interest rate, there is no covid relief for a school that no job considers a school anymore. They just tell me there is nothing I can do about anything when calling them. Consumer Complaint: The Cares Act suspended qualified student loans payments and interest until XX/XX/XXXX. Navient is only giving a one month suspension. I did not pay my scheduled payment and did not contact the lender as stated in the information at student aid.gov. I was contacted by the Navient and was told I could only get a one month suspension. All borrowers with a qualified student loan should receive the entire forbearance period as stated by the law. I request a forbearance from XXXX XXXX and need your help to ensure that my Loan servicer Navient abids by the law.

This last time they have been made aware that I am in school and I sent over my husband deferral form 4 times and as of today they still do not acknowledge it and refuse to help. I do not currently have funds to pay the cosolidation loan and ex husband doesnt work or wont pay it. I am sick of being ignored and them refusing to help in any way

I called twice and both parties said I will get a call back ... and no one ever did. All my payments we never late ... and since covid issue ... I continued to pay every month ... its not fair I'm being charged interest as many are NOT.

Consumer Complaint: I attended this school for a program which was supposed to be almost a 2 year program the school was paid the entire amount of the program which makes no sense i then had car problems when my car broke down and was not repairable i had to get rid of the car get a transffer from my job back to XXXX I could not finish the program the entire amount of the payment was kept by the school i was never refunded anything money I have tried to work something out with navient other then getting harrasing phone calls and no assistance they tried telling me I could sue the school and try to get my money back. I was not able to complete my course I was only able to attend about 4-6 months of the program

Consumer Complaint: Navient refuses to response to any written requests regarding the discharge of my student loans. I have spoken with Navient representatives/debt collectors numerous times informing them of applications and documents that has been submitted for loan discharge and no resolve. XXXX ) I submitted the will called seven times a day in a form of harassing me for payments. Navient has been informed in writing and verbally regarding my filing bankruptcy which included all five student ( XXXX ) loans. 1. XX/XX/XXXX amount : {$7500.00} ; XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX amount : {$3400.00} ; 3. XX/XX/XXXX amount {$7000.00} ; 4. XX/XX/XXXX amount {$5500.00} ; 5. XX/XX/XXXX amount {$5000.00} at a 6.8 interest rate. All of these loans Navient purchased, and they were all included in my bankruptcy. In addition, to the school closing and I never received my diploma/certificate from XXXX in XXXX, California. In explaining this information over and over again. Last year in XX/XX/XXXX, When I spoke with a Navient representative I was instructed to complete and submit a Loan Discharge Application : School Closure and he ( XXXX ) told me that this should take care of the student debt and I would no longer be harassed. Once again, I did as I was instructed and I have attached the Loan Discharge Application : School Closure. Lastly, I have been receiving calls and written letters stating that if I don't make payments, the guarantor may take one or more of the following actions. Keep in mind my student debt should have been discharged, and the violation of harassment during this COVID pandemic should not be happening. I truly believe that I am a target of discrimination, and it is clear that Navient does not or should I state, will not reply in writing to any submitted documentation. I will continue pursing my rights, as I have become a victim of Navient and will file a discrimination complaint with the office for Civil Rights to stop this vigorous harassment and not discharging the student loans.

Consumer Complaint: 2010 I filed bankruptcy and completed school at which time these loans were serviced by Sallie Mae then turned over to Navient. Since 2010 Navient has continued to defer my payments by computer. I never spoke with anyone to review repayment options since I've been employed in the social service sector since prior to 2010 until today. Navient has caused this issue because they failed to educate, explain and make suggestions based on finances. In turn they continued to let my account accumulate tax and fee totaling o er XXXX, I only make XXXX with two children. Since the pandemic I've been out of work and have a child in college its difficult and I worry. This shouldn't be especially since I've been employed all along.
