Consumer Complaint: The school closed down before I could return. They have had history of embezzlement at this location. Many of us were bribed to attend the school with out properly being explained the contract. We were told the first year I attended that we would not receive our pell grant money because it went towards tuition while still being forced too pay monthly fees towards the tuition. I signed up for the work study program to help me pay my bills and tuition and I was told that I did not qualify. Many student had to complain to the headquarters to get the money they were holding. Many of us could not find employment relating to our degree. I feel robbed and I am in debt because of them? They used the fact that we were single mothers with he hopes of careers. The financial counselor made me pay a XXXX in person application fee. All the money i paid her she embezzled before she was fired. The medical scrubs they gave me did not fit so they took them back and I head to purchase my own. Consumer Complaint: I have been dealing with Navient since they took over from Sallie Mae. At one point when we were struggling financially after my husband lost his job, I asked for help and Navient never let me know of any income based repayment plans, I was only steered towards forbearance and, during this time of forbearance, they charged two late fees even though I wasnt supposed to be making payments. When I would ask about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, I was misguided and even just recently I asked about this and was told I could just try for Economic Hardship. I have now completed an application for Direct Loan Consolidation after learning that my loans never actually qualified for the PSLF, after all this time, and I have spent YEARS working in a qualified public service job. Needless to say, since Navient took over from Sallie Mae, this has been a nightmare and Ive been paying on my loans FOR YEARS and I owe more on them now then I did years ago. To top it all off, now Ive learned that a settlement has been reached with Navient however only 39 states will be involved in this, despite the remainder of us in the other states who have been taken advantage of all this time!

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I graduated from law school. In XX/XX/XXXX, I got my first job out of law school. I was earning {$40000.00} a year, and had about {$200000.00} in student loan debt. At or about the same time, I contacted my student loan provider, Navient, about my repayment options. I was told I did not qualify for income-based-payment due to my loan type, so I was forced into the standard repayment option where I has to make payments in the amount of approximately {$2000.00} per month. This was an incredible hardship. In or about XX/XX/XXXX, I was fed up and called Navient again, and was now told that I did qualify for income based payments. This brought my student loan payments down significantly. I did not pursue the matter further, simply happy that I could afford to live. Fast forward to today, when I heard about the Navient student loan settlement and learned, for the first time, that I was not the only one they did this to. I also see that the proposed reimbursement for each eligible borrower is about {$200.00} ( a small amount compared to the $ XXXX taken ). I do not if there is anything that can be done at this point, but I want to at least file the complaint so that this does not go unheard.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted Navient about credit reporting for XXXX of XXXX showing inaccurately. I requested an investigation XX/XX/XXXX. I was notified today there were late payments in XXXX that were inaccurately reported those would be removed. However XX/XX/XXXX would not. This loan should have been in forbearance at the time the late was reported. I requested documentation for the forbearance and was sent another borrowers information which was a violation of privacy. I did dispose of those documents due to them not being mine. I had a situation like this before and when I disputed it was removed from my credit because the info was inaccurate. This is causing a strain on my credit and should not be there. I have tried numerous times to get this info corrected with no resolution. XXXX inaccurately is reporting a debt that was covered by insurance. I also have never signed a contract with this company and believe they violating HIPAA laws. XXXX is inaccurately reporting a debt I received a bill for {$530.00} XXXX disputed it with the credit bureaus and then got notification from the credit bureaus the debt was updated to {$2100.00}. I asked what is this about and they are staying the insurance company reverse a payment. I called the insurance company and they stated this is incorrect and they have no record of this. I have attached the initial bill that I have been fighting to have removed. The debt is inaccurate

Consumer Complaint: This is not the first time that Navient has ignored the governments decision to stop the payment to student loans. They are not supposed to begin charging until XX/XX/2022. I received an email informing me to check my Navient account, and to my surprise it states that I am past due - that my payment was due in XXXX and they will be taking action to collect payment. My next payment, according to Navient is in XXXX. I have XXXX loans through them, a mix a stafford subsidized and unsubsidized loans. They also report non-payment to credit agencies, which hurts my credit score.

Consumer Complaint: I took out several federal student loans in the 90 's. They were all federal student loans, now serviced by Navient, but initially with Sallie MAe. They informed me during our last conversation that they were no longer Federally subsidized loans and therefore I wasn't covered under the payment moratoriums. They also told me 20 years ago I wasn't able to consolidate under the much lower interest rates later on because I had consolidated once before. That consolidation was only to aggregate the loan into 1 payment instead of the 15 or so payments they had coupon books for and locked in the same rated forever without being informed. I feel like I need a lawyer as the misinformation or lack of has mired me into a lifelong debt that will never be resolved.

Consumer Complaint: I have been teaching for 17 years and continue to attempt in qualifying for Public Service Loan Forgiveness this last year. I have made payments consistently for more than 120 payments. Navient keeps informing me that my loan is not a direct loan but was informed by many other teachers that i can consolidate into a direct loan to qualify which they have. I can not get a straight answer or how to consolidate this loan to a direct loan after many phone calls and letter not helping to consolidate my loans.
