Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: Re : Navient Account XXXX Dates : XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX Dear Sir/a'am : Last year, I submitted a certified letter to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX to notify them of gross inaccuracies on my credit report. I filed a dispute against Navient because Navient reported 60, 90, and 120 day late payments in XXXX, when the payment was not as late. For example, the payment was received in XX/XX/XXXX, but the following month ( 30 days later ) they said my payment was 60 days late. This is erroneous and mathmatically incorrect. The investigation was speedy, instead of thorough. I also filed additional disputed online for the same issue, due to failure to be resolved. Unfortunately, I never received a copy of my results of the investigations on how they came to the conclusion to keep errors on my credit report. Their errors have impacted my ability to purchase a home for my family. Please, help!!!!! I have attached the file for your review. Please review carefully to see the error. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: Once again, Navient is raising my private loan payments without proper notice or explanation. The repayment amount keeps creeping up and I am fed up with trying to communicate with them so I am filing a complaint. My payments were set at around {$530.00} a month for the better part of XXXX into XXXX, and last month they were raised to about {$550.00} and now this month they are at {$560.00}. I do not know why they are being raised and it has not been made clear to me via any timely communication. Furthermore, my payments are almost entirely applied to an extremely high interest rate, with only around $ XXXX being applied to the principle of the loan. I contacted Navient in XXXX of XXXX and asked for an explanation of why that was, and was told they had no information on the issue. This doesnt make any sense to me. It is suspicious to me that on the heels of their lawsuit loss suddenly my payments are being increased, when they should be forgiven entirely. They have lied to me and manipulated my and my co-signers vulnerability at every turn, as you will see in the multiple complaints I have filed against them over the past several years. I have been bending over backward for their whims only to constantly have the rug pulled out from under me around every turn, and I am tired of the constant jerk around they give me. It isnt fair that I am constantly punished by them for working extremely hard to pay the predatory loans back, and I should qualify to have my debt forgiven.

Consumer Complaint: I took out a private student loan from XXXX back in XXXX I was young and was advised by my then University to apply for a student private loan as I would not have to repay it back until I graduated. I was so unaware of what a variable interest rate was and regret every taking out this loan. The original amount of the loan was XXXX. I believe my first payment was in XXXX of XXXX. I've paid a total of XXXX dollars since XXXX I came to understand this recently while working with a financial advisor as we wanted to invest in our kid 's future. My brain was so locked and this payment just became part of my life and I never questioned it till now. I NEVER once was told what a variable interest rate was at that age. This interest rate has fluctuated within the years that I've paid the loan once already and will continue to pay this loan till XXXX! I've called NAViENT who is currently servicing the loan and explained my concerns. I've spoken to supervisors and as soon as I mention this predatory loan they either hang up or tell me I knew what I was signing for when I got this loan out. This is the only thing I regret in my life if you ask me. It's haunting us till now. This was a predatory loan advised by my school to get, and granted to me by people who knew what they were doing. I really hope someone could help me out!

Consumer Complaint: The Navient loan is in XXXX XXXX XXXX 's name, a XXXX XXXX private student loan # XXXX, is being reported as a defaulted XXXX loan through what is called XXXX which is there to monitor Federal debts and prohibits FHA Mortgage loans if there is a default being reported. This loan is not a XXXX student loan, this is wrong on so many levels and destructive especially at a time like this in our country. Navient is well aware that this loan is not a XXXX loan and that it has no association with any XXXX agency. Navient has been sued by multiple states they are very pleased to report this loan as a private loan. They are also very pleased to announce this loan does not have the protection the XXXX loans under the XXXX XXXX, and have no work out for customers for the XXXX time period. I actually found the original loan papers to confirm this loan as a XXXX loan. We have also finally, figured out this loan can actually be in a in-school deferment status and there should not delinquency at all during 2020 to the current date. Navient will not correct their reporting and will not remove the default from the Federal reporting through XXXX and therefore, I can not proceed with getting my FHA Mortgage XXXX loan closed.

Consumer Complaint: I have received repeated robo calls from Navient and now XXXX XXXX. I have contacted Navient to tell them I have no outstanding loans or debts. I have no idea what they want. When I call their number, I get only a menu for repayment but no person. I have filed numerous complaints with the do not call service. I suspect they have an incorrect phone number or a fake number. It seems no one is willing to investigate their mistake.

Consumer Complaint: Navient services my loan and has since 2007. They put me in a forebearance program for over two years, all while charging an exhorbitant interest rate. As I look at the recent settlement with Navient to forgive loans, it is very clear that my loan should be qualified for forgiveness. Navient will not give me an answer as to why my loan is excluded.
