Consumer Complaint: This company is attempting to collect a disputed debt that is presently being investigated by the XXXX Atty General and several other entities. This is related to a Navient XXXX loan, which I have also filed a complaint against with you, due to their repeated violations of the Fair Debt Collections practices Act ( by disregarding 2 cease and desist letters issue to them ). In addition to Navient continuing collection calls, they have turned this disputed account over to XXXX XXXX XXXX in an effort to collect and harass me about this disputed account. They called me repeatedly - 11 times on XX/XX/2022. This is clear violation of debt collection laws and needs to stop.

Consumer Complaint: Unable to Get a copy of XXXXXXXX XXXX Note for XXXX spousal consolidation student loan currently being serviced by Navient : XXXX. I have tried to get a copy of my husband and mine 's Master Promissory Note ( MPN ) for our XXXX Joint Spousal Consolidation Student Loan from Navient for XXXX weeks now, since XX/XX/XXXX. I have called every week since- between XXXX pm as it is the only time I can - every time, after explaining that we need a copy of our XXXX mailed or email to us- it is always the same response : after a brief inquiry, I am placed on hold either to look into it further or to transfer me to someone that can help -It is old loan from XXXX and it seems none of them can find it and do not know what to do so I am placed on hold, a few times very long holds, over XXXX mins, only to be cut off or hung up on every time. This is beyond frustrating ; this document must be in their database, as without it- if it doesn't exist, then our loan is not valid and I highly doubt that is the case- I just need a copy sent to us..it seems like an easy request- it is the least thing they could do considering how we are unfairly trapped in this loan type as it is the only loan type that one can not reconsolidate. For Navient-I just want a copy of our Master Promissory Note Mailed to us- please help.

Consumer Complaint: I make auto payments for my student loans, currently with Navient. I pay about XXXX dollars a month on autopay ( my minimum monthly payment is supposed to be XXXX ). so i pay about XXXX extra each month. Today I noticed that they were holding two months of payments stating it was due to overpayment. i never made any changes to my account settings and i have been paying overpayment for several years and this has never come up. they did not notify me this was happening. I called them and they put in a request to have this changed. but i feel like it was a total scam and If i hadn't happened to check i would never have noticed this. i feel like this was a scam to prevent me from paying down my principal for two months and they would continue to collect interest.

Subissue: Received bad information about your loan
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to request a change of status to my student loans previously administered by Navient ( account # XXXX ). On several occasions throughout XXXX and XXXX, I contacted Navient to request for this status change from deferment to Income Based Repayment ( IBR ) for loans administered by Navient from XX/XX/XXXX, to XX/XX/XXXX. The reason for my request was to allow my employment at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), during the aforesaid time-period, to be counted for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ) program. I was alerted, however, that such a change could not be done. As I was not matriculated in any academic program and was not earning academic credits toward a degree, I should not have been identified on academic deferment. To provide supporting evidence, I am sending along XXXX documents : 1. an offer of employment for the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. 2. a postdoc scholar / postdoc-employee offer of employment ( dated XX/XX/XXXX ), 3. extension of a renewal offer as a postdoctoral scholar ( dated XX/XX/XXXX ), and 4. a completed PSLF form from XXXX identifying my dates of XXXX. I contacted Navient again in XXXX of XXXX asking to make this change. By this point, however, I was informed that as my loans have been consolidated and are now administered by XXXX, they can not accommodate this request. Moreover, I have been informed that had I contacted them previously, prior to the consolidation and transfer of funds to another student loan servicer, Navient would have been able to accommodate the status request. The information provided in XXXX of XXXX clearly contradicts earlier information provided by Navient, which misinformed me that a status change could not be done when in fact this was not the case. I have since requested that Navient investigate this matter further through the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a response from XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX at Navient, alerting me that they will investigate this further. As I have not received a response, and to ensure Navient provides serious consideration to my grievance, I am formally requesting assistance to the Consumer Financial Bureau to help resolve this matter. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Navient has made a mistake with the handling of my loans. A Navient representative informed me that my income-based deferment would expire on XXXX of XXXX. Despite being provided this information over the phone and in writing, Navient decided to move my repayment to XX/XX/XXXX. When I alerted Navient of this information they did not wish to acknowledge their mistake and instead charged late fees, allowed for interest to capitalize on my loans, and without my permission, placed me on forbearance. It was not until I filed a complaint on XX/XX/XXXX, with the XXXX XXXX XXXX ( complaint number : XXXX ) that Navient escalated XXXX issue to the Office of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX In a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, Navient acknowledged their error, retroactively reversed all late fees and capitalized interest, and changed my status from in forbearance to income-based deferment. As the U.S. Department of Education ( XXXX ) has announced a change to Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ) program rules for a limited time because of the COVID-19 emergency, I ask the XXXX assistance to change the status of my loans from student deferment to an income-based deferment. This will allow for the two-year period ( XX/XX/XXXX, to XX/XX/XXXX ) of my postdoctoral fellowship at XXXX to count toward my PSLF loan forgiveness. Thank you kindly for reviewing my case. I look forward to hearing from you.

Subissue: Keep getting calls about your loan
Consumer Complaint: I received another call again today on XX/XX/XXXX by Navient by " XXXX '' from XXXX, which lasted 7 minutes. The first words were Navient is willing to lower your payments to XXXX each month. Can you do this? Again, for the 5th time this year, I explained to them I have no full-time job with full time health benefits. I explained to them also again, I provided them with the verified IDR from studentaid.gov in XX/XX/XXXX, I uploaded to my Navient account in XX/XX/XXXX, I just uploaded this information again last week to my web account for proof, XX/XX/XXXX. I told XXXX, I paid off 2 private loans and 1 federal loan. I have an old XXXX car that needs major repairs, I can not drive it on the highway. I am making small payments. How can I make XXXX when nobody will give me a full-time job? If you want XXXX or more each month I am going to have to XXXX for Navient. Nobody will give me a full-time job for I can afford that amount ongoing each month. XXXX from Navient hung up the phone. In other words, they gave me no other option, but wanted at least XXXX each month. I asked him to help me get a full-time job. I am desperate to get a job for I can pay for my loans. I want to work a full-time job.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I was granted a loan forgiveness from Navient due to being declared XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. On my credit report there is a negative that wont go away until XXXX. Its like an anchor tied around my neck I cant get my credit score up to where I feel it should be. Ive been a very good boy for years making all my payment s on time but this still keeps me down. If this is forgiveness it comes with a hook. Its the only bad thing on my report. I was well into default when they granted it because I couldnt work when my injuries became too much to bare. So on my credit report it shows as 120 days late and 4 late payments. These days I can barely survive so Im trying to see if I can make this go away. And truly receive forgiveness. Thank you, XXXX
