Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I have a closed account with Navient that is reporting to the credit bureaus as 6 accounts with late payments for the months of XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX of XXXX. My latest communication with Navient was on XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with XXXX and she verified that I only have one account with them and could not see why it was reporting 6 accounts. The account number is XXXX. The account was paid and closed on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount {$32000.00}. I have disputed the duplicate accounts with all 3 credit bureau and they have come back with accounts are correct. I have also previously spoken to a representive with Navent regarding this. The accounts have the same account umber, same late payments, and same close date. Also the accounts are showing 90 days late on XX/XX/XXXX with no late payments prior to that date. How can an account report current in XXXX and 90 days late in XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, in Florida when online distance learning was brand new. I recently found out that the school is closed, as of 2017. Navient is charging an absurd amount of interest rate on top of still charging me the fee that the school charged when they were open. It's to my understanding that the loan, both of the loans from XXXX XXXX XXXX, can be XXXX if the school is closed. I've uploaded documentation stating that the article shows the school is closed, it's a legitimate article and how much Navient is charging as of to date. These two loans need to be XXXX or I will seek legal arbitration. They are already charging me an asininely crazy interest rate, which I know is set by congress. It's hard when you're pay check to pay check, then no one tells you that your school closed. That's unethical and immoral. And yet to still charge fee 's for that loan. Navient should not be allowing to charge consumers, on a loan where a school is closed. Thanks XXXX

Consumer Complaint: One of my federal student loans has continued to accrued interest through the whole student loan relief time period. The loan is XXXX XXXX - XXXX and has an approximately balance of {$8100.00}. In addition, when my student loans were transferred to XXXX that same loan was kept by Navient and also transfered to XXXX doubling the loan. Now my accounts in both Navient and XXXX show a balance for that loan which means I would have to repay that loan twice. When contacting both companies they would refer to one another for answers and none were able to help me at all. I need help resolving this issue.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX Greetings, I am writing to request assistance with Navient XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am aware of the recent lawsuit, which I believe and will fully explain why I think we ( my son and me as co-signer ) are eligible for loan forgiveness. My son took out a student loan in XXXX ( disbursement date XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ) in the amount of {$16000.00} to cover tuition at XXXX XXXX University in New Jersey. My son was not able to continue due to serious health issues. He has a XXXX disorder ( XXXX ) which became very severe and difficult to control. As a result, it was extremely difficult to for him to focus as he was having a several XXXX a day, and he could not continue in school ( documentation can be provided ). After a 5 day hospitalization in XXXX, doctors were able to customize his medication and control the XXXX ( documentation can be provided ). During all of this time, he tried to keep up with the loan payments, but the monthly amount was prohibitive. In XXXX, he requested a lower monthly payment. Navient refused, and advised him to go into forbearance for 18 months, not explaining that the interest would continue to accrue, a practice I know is unethical and covered under the lawsuit. This has now resulted in a balance larger than the initial loan amount. I have written to Navient several times since XX/XX/XXXX. They have not responded to my request, and also refuse to release me as co-signer, indicating that I have to provide proof of program completion. As explained above, my son could not continue school due to medical issues, and was unable to complete his program. Yesterday ( XX/XX/XXXX ), we found out that Navient has reported both of us to the credit bureaus, which has seriously negatively impacted our credit score. I have written to Navient many times, and have reported this to several agencies, but no one has helped. I write today to desperately request your assistance. The loan information is below :

Consumer Complaint: Naviant has made it really difficult for me to be able to be able to provide accurate dates of when all of this has transpired so I am going to do my best. Over the last few years I have been making overpayments on my student loans. I have XXXX separate loans that are with Naviant that I made XXXX lump sum payment to them monthly to satisfy. When I was making my overpayments I was specifically selecting to not defer my existing payments so I continued to pay my full amount plus whatever extra I had. Additionally I would specify which loan I wanted the extra money to be allocated to. The first time they double charged me I let it go, it wasnt much money and the customer service agents would not listen to me about my overpayments and how I made sure to select all options to continue to be billed my normal amount but they said it was a system glitch and more or less they couldnt do anything about it. The second time this happened they tried to double charge me for the entire amount of my payment. Normally during this time I would pay Naviant around XXXX dollars, so when they wanted another XXXX from me in the same billing cycle I just simply couldnt let that go, I didnt have the money. I had to call and email and pretty much cry and lose my mind how I wouldnt afford to pay them twice before anyone resolved the glitch that happened in their system again. I was then chastised for not only making over payments, but for paying my bill when it became available on their site to pay. They advised that if I did not wait a few days and tried to pay too quickly they couldnt guarantee the system would glitch out again and essentially double charge me again and they cautioned that this wasnt something they would be able to fix nessacsrily every time. In light of recent economic impact on my loans and them going up again I am so afraid that they are going to put me in that position again for even more money. Please help. Attached is one of the examples of an overpayment that I was unsuccessful in getting them to understand was not a correct charge. All additional messages on the matter are also not available in my inbox so I find it suspicious they make you communicate with them via their mailbox but dont give you a way to see those past conversations..

Consumer Complaint: I have co-signed loans through Navient for attending XXXX XXXX XXXX. A family member co-signed. The University marketed the school as an institution with unique degrees and promoted a " XXXX '' influence for job placement. XXXX frame. I have graduated with a degree but no support with career placement. The fields are extremely competitive, and opportunities are few. Navient at no time offered an incomebased payment plan. Deferment and forbearance are their game. It is reprehensible that this entity of our government is allowed to continue these financial practices. There are as you are aware, substantial complaints and lawsuits with Navient. I am saddled with a debt that can never be paid off as the interest has accumulated. Please assist! Please intervene!
