Consumer Complaint: I received a call from XXXX XXXX ( their address is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and their phone number is XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX is a collection agency that claims that Navient has given them my account for collections services due to non payment. I contacted Navient at the number I have been contacting them for the last 7 years ( XXXX is Navient 's phone number ). That department of Navient informed me that my account was not transferred and that they received my most recent July payment and that I have future payments scheduled through XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX back and informed them that Navient states my account was never transferred to them. The representative from XXXX XXXX gives me another Navient Phone number and tells me to call that new Navient Number ( XXXX ) When I contacted the new Navient number ( XXXX ), this Navient Representative tells me that loans have been transferred to XXXX XXXX but can not explain why the other Navient department could not explain why the other department did not see this.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I reviewed my consumer reports and noticed 5 accounts being reported by Navient. Each account is reporting inaccurately. I mailed Navient a certified letter via USPS ( tracking number XXXX ) which they received XX/XX/2022 ; making them aware I did not agree with the amounts of the alleged debt they are furnishing to consumer reporting agencies. I requested all documentation that proves their claim is valid, including how the amount was calculated. In my letter to Navient, I included a copy of my North Carolina Identification card and Social Security card. I have attached a copy of that letter here.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I could not pay on this loan. I used family to stop Navient from harassing family members and individuals around me, including my job. However, my support system has passed away during the pandemic, as Navient knows since one member was an actual co-signer on a loan. I can not pay on this loan, and Navient knows this. I do not want them to contact anyone except for me about this debt. They do not need to contact the 3rd party as they have my cell and email and have contacted me on previous occasions. I can not pay this debt and will not be able to in the future. I am demanding that Navient only contact me about this debt. I am well aware that this loan is headed towards default and its nothing that I can do about it. I am ready to face the repercussions of such actions. Thank you!

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I received an email regarding my private loans and was wondering why my payment has increase again, I have been paying on this loan since XXXX and the balance has never changed, there are thousands of people not even paying there loans and they keep increasing my interest rates, how the XXXX can a person ever pay off their loans when they keep increasing the rates, then they don't even notify me of the changes. After XXXX years of paying on this loan my balance has remained the same, never changing in fact it has went up instead of down, so these predatory lenders who give us money to education institutions are bleeding money out of us for financial gain, if I new that XXXX XXXX and Navient were such a scandalous institution I would have never borrowed a single XXXX from them because in XXXX years they have made over XXXX dollars off of me and my loans are only XXXX, and my balance is still {$32000.00}, this is a crime, and I still have XXXX years to pay this off imagine {$370.00} for 156 months is the total of {$59000.00}, plus the already approximate XXXX I have paid, sad that I have to pay XXXX for loans that are only XXXX what a grand profit for Navient, what a scandalous institution the education sector has become, public or private loans does not matter. The government and these other institutions are stealing from the American people who tried to do better by going to college which has also become a racket, it is a XXXX XXXX shame that this country does not offer a quality education to individuals without having to sell our souls for it. I have XXXX loans that will never get paid I will be dead before I ever see a change in my balance, XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I have a private loan with Navient/Sallie Mae . Over the course of my repayment, I had difficultly paying, and when I called, the only option was to defer or apply forbearance, compounding the total amount of my loan. I was NEVER offered lower rates or an income based plan. They told me this was not possible. My original loan amount was around $ XXXX for a XXXX degree from XXXX. I think this falls into a subprime category, considering it is absurd I would be able to pay that back from the degree. I do not come from money. I lived in a trailer park as a kid and we thought going to college was the right thing to do, and Sallie mae / Navient offered me a predatory loan when I was XXXX. I have paid over DOUBLE the amount of the original loan, roughly $ XXXX. I have about XXXX left. Considering I was never offered repayment options, and that my loan is subprime, I would AT LEAST like the remaining amount forgiven. Navient and Sallie Mae subjected me to unfair and deceptive student loan servicing practices and abuses in originating predatory student loans.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for forbearance in XX/XX/2017 and got approved. Therefore, Navient brought my account current. However, after reviewing my credit report, I noticed that Navient reported late payment to all of the credit agencies. Even thought my account became current in XX/XX/2017, Navient reported 90 and 120 days for XX/XX/2017. ( XXXX comes after XXXX ) When I reviewed my full report from each of the 3 credit agencies, I notice a discrepancy with all the 3 reports. I came to find out that what was reported to XXXX is different than what was reported to XXXX and different from what was reported to XXXX. Here is also a short summery of all accounts reported by Navient : XXXX : 90 days late payments on 6 Navient accounts for XX/XX/2017 XXXX : 120 days late payments on 6 of the 6 Navient accounts for XX/XX/2017 XXXX : 90 days late payments only 5 of Navient accounts for XX/XX/2017 I have wrote letters asking them to retract this errors from my credit report with copies of my credit report showing the errors in report. They refuse to retract the error and provide a generic explanation as to why the refuse my request.

Consumer Complaint: President Biden Have placed student loans on a moratorium, Navient has placed all of my loans as late payments which bring my score down on my credit reports. I spoke to someone a Navient and reminded them that Biden has a moratorium on student loans, they apologized but continued their erroneous practices. All student loans should be on a moratorium until XX/XX/2022, and this may possibly be extended. I am up for a government job and may be denied the job due to Navient practices. XX/XX/2022, I have taken a break from school. Navient is reporting that I am more than 90 days past due on my loans!
