Consumer Complaint: I will skip over all of the nefarious practices that Navient has been engaged in since ( at least ) the life of my Joint Spousal Consolidation Loan plan. My main goal now is to have a copy of my Master Promissory Note. I received a letter on XX/XX/XXXX stating the XXXX would be sent out within 10 days. I have yet to receive it.

Subissue: Problem lowering your monthly payments
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I qualified for a Pell Grant ( due to low income ), to attend XXXX. The grant was very small, so I was also approved to borrow the balance of my tuition in full, as the rest of my " financial aid package ''. After graduating and making payments on my loan for years, Sallie Mae went bankrupt. My account switched automatically, and now I somehow have a " private '' consolidated student loan account through Navient. I didn't qualify to have my payments stopped in XXXX, because they said they would keep charging interest on my account. I've been paying on this loan for 22 years, and my principle has only been reduced by a couple XXXX dollars. I don't earn enough to live comfortably and pay bills. It turns out that a college degree did not help me at all, and I'm worse off because of it. I'm forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars extra in interest, simply because I can't afford the normal monthly payment they determine I should pay.. These financial institutions can keep charging interest on an income driven plan as " punishment '', because I don't earn enough to pay their required monthly payment.. It's plain robbery!

Consumer Complaint: In 2007 XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX enrolled me into their Vet Prep program. The only choice to pay for that semester was to use a private Sallymae loan. Being the first generation to attend college my father who has now passed was the only source of financial knowledge I had. He looked at the loan terms with me and even co-signed the loan. It cost XXXX for the vet prep program and I failed one class with a D. I called and begged for the professor of that class to see me. He would not and you are not allowed to repeat that semester. So I was out XXXX and no Chance at Veterinary degree. I have since paid triple of what the original loan was and still owe more than XXXX. It is now with Navient.

Consumer Complaint: My student loan is $ XXXX. The interest is $ XXXX for a total of $ XXXX. How is this legal? I just found out after 30 years that each time a loan changes in format, the interest capitalizes. This was never explained to me. For years, Navient and SAllie Mae have outsourced to people in XXXX to answer calls, who never explained this properly and I couldnt even understand due to their language barrier. Navient also allocate payments 70 percent to interest instead of the base. No company does this! This debt is preventing me from helping my son XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX! for a place to live. This is the second time I am complaining. Why dont the politicians look into the ridiculous interest leaving people in debt? How is this legal? Bad business practices!

Consumer Complaint: Navient will not help me when it comes to my student loan from the XXXX XXXX in XXXX. I believe I did qualify for the Navient forgiveness, but they are telling me otherwise. My loan has been in delinquency before and there were years where I wasn't making any payments. They told me the longest my account was in delinquency was 157, 13 days away from the 170 day requirement. I took a look at the history of the loan and went over it with somebody from customer service on XX/XX/XXXX. Every time I asked about the missing gaps of time on my account they couldnt give me a straightforward answer and deflected to the dates that were on file. Where are these missing years? Why isnt it on my file? Currently, my loan over is XXXX dollars, mostly from accumulated interest. My interest rate is almost 13 %. I was steered to go into forbearance multiple times thinking it would help me out. In the long run, once Navient doesn't let you sign up for forbearance anymore, it drastically has a negative impact on your credit score. Had I known that, I would have never signed up for it. I felt coerced once my credit scorXXXX took a plunge.

Consumer Complaint: I have a ffelp loan through Navient whom it states is Navient federal loan trust implying this is a federal loan under a federal trust. They talked me into forbearance for a year from XXXX to XXXX. They used sales tactics to allow for this forbearance and they have been sued by 38 states for such business tactics. The loan was originally under sallie Mae and unbeknownst to me was them privatized by Navient. This XXXX will be 20 years paying on this loan and I feel deceived thinking this was a federal loan, it was ok way back then to not make payments while interest accrued and I was talked into a 30 year loan like it was a great plan. Now Im reading that this type of loan will not be part of Bidens plan to forgive {$10000.00}. What options do I have?

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I decided to attempt to go to school and per-sue a degree in a field that I was working in. I was never informed about the actual cost during any of this time. In that I didnt have any experience to compare this process to, I was only sent paperwork to sign to stay enrolled. This was online, through XXXX XXXX University, and the lender was Sallie Mae. I was never sent any sort of documentation regarding the cost, wether by semester, quarter or annual. .as I recall, I was contacted at work on a variety of occasions that I needed additional funding to continue. But never a specific cost. No documentation, only signature pages. I still have never received any such documents. At some point Sallie Mae sold accounts to Navient. In XXXX I was placed on XXXX XXXXXXXX and could no longer work, and I am still in the same physical condition. I was able to have a large portion of the loans, that I was shocked at the balance, excused. I am receiving SSI income and still attempting to pay the balance of the private loans, those i never was informed about. At this point, the interest on one loan is over 10 %. I dont see an end. The fast talking people that would call, and basically threaten me, with cutting access to the classes, just sign this form..

Consumer Complaint: I owed a debt for unpaid fines to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The amount is {$5400.00} and it is from a case in XXXX. The case that those debts occurred from has been expunged and the debt should have been erased. I notified the debt collector MSB that this had happened. They asked for proper documentation which I sent over immediately. Their now saying the debt is still valid and my court papers are invalid. My documents are issued from the XXXX XXXX recorders office they are as valid as they come. Because of this debt there is a lien on my credit which is preventing me from getting a driver 's license. I have contacted them numerous times with no help at all.

Consumer Complaint: I have started a new program as a XXXX XXXX XXXX, uploaded and submitted deferment request and also acceptance letter into the program at the beginning of the month. Spoke to a representative ; XXXX XXXX, was told that they do not get notified when, " things are submitted online '' asked representative where I would find that they do not get notified when things are submitted on their website. She stated that, " she was not sure, and I should have called to speak with someone. '' Asked her what the point was of submitting documents online and asked where I should have emailed the forms instead. Service rep stated that, " they do not accept email. '' I believe Navient is acting in bad faith on deferments. I don't believe that they would have just taken my word for it so I submitted official forms on their website in good faith. Representative stated, " that we will request a deferment now. '' Wondering why it wasn't done before I get hit for a 90 day late, even though I submitted documents at the beginning of the month for the deferment and why she wants me to pay even though I am in deferment.
