Consumer Complaint: Creditor has continuing to report a private loan that has exceeded 7-year period on my credit report. While checking my credit report, I notice an account from NAVIENT that I believe is not being reported correctly on my credit report. On XX/XX/2022, I sent certified letter, to all three credit bureaus ( See attached ) letting them know that NAVIENT was reporting obsolete information on my credit report and so far, I have not gotten a respond from them. I am asking you to please help me to have this information removed from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I took out a federal direct loan in 2007. At some point it was transferred to Navient. This was not in my control. I was never made aware that Navient is considered private. I kept my loan as a federal loan so that I could qualify for repayment or any govt actions taken regarding the loan. I was never made aware that the loan no longer qualified for federal things because Navient is considered private. The interest rate on the federal loan was 7 %, but I never went with a private company because I wanted it to stay a federal loan. I was also told if I did the income based plan my remainder would be forgiven after 30 years. I was never told that I would pay tax on the forgiven amount, which would eventually be more owed than the original loan. Once I found that out I was so far in and XXXX in debt. More than double the amount I took out. I am a XXXX, so this is an extraordinary amount of money. Flash forward to Covid. All fed loans get 0 % interest. I assumed mine would since they are federal. NOPE. Navient told me it was because mine are consolidated. That was a LIE. Had they told the truth at that time ( that they are CHOOSING to not give a 0 % interest ) I would have had the loans transferred to a different lender. Once I saw that I was getting XXXX on my loans and that the " forgiveness '' would actually cost me more money I transferred them to a private loan with a 3 % interest rate. Navient has lied to me multiple times and cost me an inordinate amount of stress and money. They are deceitful and should never have been allowed to service my loans. At the very least I should have been notified that they are private with full documentation of what that means

Consumer Complaint: I spoke with an agent at Navient on XX/XX/XXXX about a refund for my loan payments dating back to XX/XX/XXXX. I was given a lot of incorrect information on the call. I stated I only wanted the refund if my loans would not show delinquent status. I was told the refund amount would be {$37000.00} ( which I told the agent wasn't right ). They said I would receive a written letter detailing the refund and correct amount before it was approved. I received no written communication, the refund amount was incorrect, and my loan was marked delinquent. Please review this call and correct my delinquent status, I do not want a refund if my account will be marked delinquent.

Consumer Complaint: According to the STIPULATED CONSENT JUDGMENT signed on XX/XX/XXXX under page 49 of Appendix A of the settlement qualifications I believe I am entitled to have my private loans discharged for predatory lending practices due to having a credit score below 640 at the time of origination. This is in reference to the Navient settlement vs various AGs ' please see below : SUPERIOR COURT OF ARIZONA IN XXXX XXXX STATE OF ARIZONA, ex rel. XXXX XXXX, Attorney General, Plaintiff, v. NAVIENT CORPORATION, NAVIENT SOLUTIONS , LLC, PIONEER CREDIT RECOVERY , INC., and XXXX XXXX XXXX, " Category 3 Criteria : Non-traditional Any non-traditional private education loan with an outstanding balance and in Past Due Status as of the Debt Relief Forgiveness Date disbursed by SLM Corporation lenders, subsidiaries, predecessors, successors, and/or affiliates after XXXX. Non-traditional as used herein means a private education loan disbursed ( 1 ) to a borrower with a XXXX score below 670 at origination to attend a private for-profit educational institution; or ( 2 ) to a borrower with a XXXX score below 640 at origination to attend a public or a private not-for-profit educational institution. '' I have been attempting since XX/XX/XXXX to receive my credit score information from Navient with no success. I reached out via email on XX/XX/XXXX requesting the promissory notes and loan origination paperwork which I believed would have my credit score on it. After receiving a packet in the mail that did not have what I requested, I escalated my complaints via email dated XX/XX/XXXX and also XX/XX/XXXX. I also called into Navient in XXXX and the representative stated he would escalate the request. I called in again on XX/XX/XXXX and requested again the credit score report showing my credit scores from XXXX when these loans originated. I still have not received what I requested. I called in again today XX/XX/XXXX and the representative told me it was escalated last week but still had no resolution. I am looking for a copy of the credit score that Salliemae pulled on my behalf when these loans originated. My scores were below 640 as I had to have a cosigner on these loans. I have attached the copies of my emails and the lawsuit appendix A for review. I believe Navient is deliberately concealing this important credit score consumer information that applies to predatory borrower victims like myself who attended public college as a means to avoid further financial loss to those who do qualify in the terms of the settlement agreement.

Consumer Complaint: I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX, the school claimed students would would get high paying jobs right out of college. The school pressured us into signing up saying the rates would change and increase, and also said they would provide job placement. It later changed to job placement assistance. The school over charged for the services and as a result was closed down. I understand there is a a ongoing class action lawsuit against the institution for these reasons. They never got me a job, I never got a job from any of the so called assistance they provided. They signed me up for private student loans to help pay for the expensive tuition, and said I would make plenty of money right out of school to pay it back. The whole time they were taking out many loans per semester instead of one loan. As a result the interest rates eat up all the repayment made. I have consolidated these loans and still have 3 totaling XXXX with high interest. I went to XXXX from XXXX. I would like to know if these loans will be cancelled as a result of this lawsuit. I had to file a complaint with the CFPB back in XXXX due to struggling to pay back these loans. They offered a temporary reduction in rate. My loans had to be put into a 3 month forebearance. I have paid on the loans to 8-10 years and there is still a large balance. Navient and XXXX were stealing from studnets trying to better their lives. Predatory loan is an understatement.

Consumer Complaint: The illegal activity from XXXX such as them lying about their accreditation, lying about their high job placement rates, and lying about their accreditation has put me in a whole world of debt. Due to XXXX 's fraudulent practices I was deceived into taking out private loans from Sallie Mae in the attempt to pay for my education. I attended XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, VA from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX within their XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX program. Prior to me enrolling into XXXX XXXX, I had met with a recruiter who guaranteed me that they would place me onto a job ( because they had exceptional job placing rates ) and that their accreditation would carry over into other schools if I had decided to transfer my credits. These details alone attracted me into enrolling into this for-profit school. After I was enrolled and had attended classes for a couple of days, I remember being called down to the office from class as my tuition needed to be secured. The officer, I do not remember his name but he was a young XXXX male with glasses who had just started working there a few months back. He explained to me that my ONLY option were to utilize private loans for my education. They did not offer work aid, any federal loans, or any other financial programs that would assist with paying for tuition. They told me my options were limited! At that time I was XXXX XXXX XXXX, was pressured to take on private loans and was literally backed into a corner. I took out private loans for the remainder of my schooling. Fast forward to the time of graduation, they set me up with 1 job interview and that was it! I did not get that job and after I graduated they literally washed their hands. I did not have any other interviews and it seemed like after I was no longer a student, they did nothing in the attempt to place me anywhere else. This completely contradicted how they advertised their high job placement rates. About 6 months after graduation I still did not have a job in my field as XXXX provided no job placement or interviews. It was time to pay my loans and because I was not working my only option was to consolidate, to somewhat attempt to lower my payment. I did consolidate but due to my high interests the payment was still high. Later down the road I had to enroll into a University and none of my credits from XXXX transferred over. So now, that two years that I spent at XXXX has obtained me nothing but astronomically high debt and zero accreditation from my credits. With all their schools closing down, jobs will not look at their education as something to be obtained. The illegal activity from XXXX such as them lying about their accreditation, lying about their high job placement rates, and lying about their accreditation has put me in a whole world of debt.

Consumer Complaint: My student loan when I attended XXXX XXXX were federal loans. Somehow Navient is now showing it as an XXXX loan which does not allow me to have {$10000.00} forgiven. When asked for my paperwork showing the change in my loan I was just told that it's in income based deferment till my issue with a for profit school I attended is resolved. I have already paid off that loan through another servicer. I want to see the forms that I signed where I consolidated my original loans from NY State Higher Education from a federal to a private loan.

Consumer Complaint: Sallie Mae / Navient has made multiple errors recording my payments since XXXX some were made in XXXX XXXXNavient has been extremely irresponsible responding to my requests and demands in order to verify what the actual balance of my daughter 's accounts is. I have been trying to get them to verify they have received every one of my payments for every account. I have been making these requests and later demands since XXXX. I need them to confirm first of all that they have recorded every payment I have made for two daughters with a total of 5-7 subaccounts. They have made errors with the Stafford loans numerous times. When they send me their " disbursements '' records it does not show any total of my payments made since XXXX. Many of their payments appear unfamiliar compared to my bank records. The Consolidated part of the loan is actually the earliest ( previously called XXXX XXXX in XXXX ) and yet they claim there is still a balance for that portion of the loan. For the past two years they ignore my requests/ demands simply responding : " they have already addressed those issues '' They fail to take responsibility for the mistakes they have made such as entering one of 5 monthly payments to the wrong account, failing to demonstrate they received more than minimal monthly amount on statement when I often added {$100.00} - {$300.00} in order to get loans paid off sooner. They made several errors in XX/XX/XXXX - mixing my Consolidated with Stafford and then sending a refund through the Social Security department and then failing to confirm they received that when I endorsed the chack back to them. That same month they sent a refund to my daughter instead of entering on my account. Those problems are what lead me to warn them 6 months in advance and then cease making any further payments until they provide information I need to verify their records match my XXXX bank records.

Consumer Complaint: I currently owe Navient {$49000.00}. My original loan in 2007 was for {$28000.00}. I wasn't aware at the time that I was eligible for federal loans, and this company never mentioned it. I was told my best option while I finished school was to go into forbearance. I wasn't aware my loan would double. I have contacted them many times and they only option to lower my payment is an interest only payment. I have been paying for years and my balance doesn't move. I told a customer service rep I would have to live in my care to be able to afford this payment. He said " you got ta do what you got ta do. '' My interest rate is 9.25 %. I have tried to renegotiate loan terms or interest but they won't. The original check was sent straight to me and not even my school. They sent the money without verifying the tuition and never told me about federal loans. I can't pay this loan. It is well over what I borrowed. I should have been told to pay on it instead of going into forbearance.
