Consumer Complaint: Nation Star mortgage is adding fees for inspection and other fees that they do not make the customer aware of and will not waive the charge. There is not a notice left on your door when an inspection is done and why is an inspection being done if I live in the property. The other fees added are unexplained. Consumer Complaint: Original mortgage was in XXXX for 30 years. Refinanced in XXXX for 4.5 % 15 years and according to that " Truth in Lending Disclosure Statement '' schedule as of mortgage payments # XXXX # XXXX my PMI was to be {$0.00} and that was suppose to happen somewhere around XXXX. I have been trying to get PMI removed and have requested several times ... in writing.. to have it removed. I think twice to Nationstar who is the current mortgage holder. It 's been transferred several times over the years. Horrible customer service at Nationstar. They have given me XXXX, if not more, different answers as to why they wo n't remove it. NONE of which i can find are valid reasons when i hold a legal document truth in lending statement that states it is to be {$0.00} and when! I have already sent all paperwork copies and request to them again by certified/return receipt and they signed, yet NO ONE has contacted me regarding this. It is free and clear money to them ; it is mine, and i want it refunded back from when it was to be {$0.00} XXXX XXXX ) and taken off future payments. They have copies of all they need including tax assessments.

Consumer Complaint: A little over 3 years ago, XXXX XXXX XXXX transferred my mortgage to Nationstar Mortgage. Over the past couple months they kept calling me saying what are you going to do with your property. I told them I have no intention to sell and I plan on being here for several years. ( My mortgage is and has been current since I started with Nationstar over the past 3 years ). The first time they called I thought it was a routine check. When they kept calling I asked them to stop calling me on this issue. The choice they gave me is I could issue a Verbal Cease and Desist and they would n't call me anymore. The problem with this choice is they also wo n't contact me under any other circumstances by telephone/e-mail/text/regular mail. So if there is a glitch in their system and my payment did n't go thru for any reason I wo n't be notified. If there is a change to my mortgage in anyway I wo n't be notified. I feel like I 'm being held " hostage '' either I have to take their monthly calls so I can receive communications or use the Verbal Cease and desist and not know about any changes in my account. My desired resolution is simple, I would like them to communicate to me if there are any changes in my mortgage but I do n't want them harassing my every month, what am I going to do with my property etc.

Consumer Complaint: I recently applied for credit and found I was denied because of some issues I had with Nationstar Mortgage back in XXXX. I 've always paid my mortgage and never had any issues until I had to deal with Nationstar. I had a mortgage with XXXX taken over by Nationstar Mortgage back in XXXX. With XXXX I paid my own taxes and insurance. For my taxes I was late a few times but I always got late fees and taxes taken care of. But never any problems with XXXX for 10+years. My first year with Nationstar, independent of tax issues, was nightmarish. I was sending 1/2 my mortgage payment in every two weeks to pay a little early because I read that this reduced overall cost of loan. I did this with other banks and never had issues ( if there was I could always resolve over phone ). But Nationstar could n't handle it and they kept threatening me with collections and charging me fees, regardless of how many times I worked it out over the phone with their agents. Then they assumed my tax and insurance responsibilities. I was able to block them on taking over insurance payments and I continued to make payments on taxes but they ignored this and would n't figure any of my tax payments into their bill. They also continued to send me erroneous bills. In XXXX of XXXX I wanted a correct statement before I would pay because it kept changing. Meanwhile I went ahead and finished paying off my taxes hoping to get a correct statement from Nationstar independent of taxes ( I do n't recall receiving a correct bill from them for the entire year of XXXX and my bill went up considerably when they assumed my taxes and it changed on multiple levels during the fall of XXXX ). Needless to say it was a very difficult and confusing period with them and I pleaded that they send me back to XXXX, Nationstar was making my life XXXX with their continues phone calls on erroneous charges independent of taxes. Consumer Complaint: In early XXXX, I submitted a complaint to CFPB regarding the refusal of Nationstar Mortgage to make a good-faith effort to modify my home equity mortgage, which carries an interest rate of 6.5 percent. Nationstar 's response is to stonewall and conduct a sham process apparently designed to give the CFPB the impression that the company is being responsive. In fact, just the opposite is the case. On XXXX XXXX, 2016, I received a form letter from Nationstar dated XXXX XXXX, 2016 asking me to submit the detailed application for a loan modification. Even though I had previously completed such an application months earlier, I completed the application again and mailed it in the postage-paid envelope that Nationstar provided. I 'm quite confident it arrived at Nationstar by the stated deadline of XXXX/XXXX/16. On Monday, XXXX/XXXX/16, I received another copy of the same letter and packet, this time stamped " Final Request. '' The letter was dated XXXX/XXXX/16, and stated the deadline to complete the application and have it received by Nationstar is XXXX/XXXX/16. In fact, the process is a sham to conceal Nationstar 's refusal to make a good faith effort to modify my mortgage and likely many, many others. I have attached copies of the XXXX letters and a copy of Nationstar 's acknowledgement of the previous CFPB complaint that I submitted. It appears that Nationstar has found it can mollify the CFPB with the appearance of responsiveness, but with no substance or truth behind the facade.

Consumer Complaint: I am in the hardship program and owe for two months. Using their online service, I submitted a payment for {$300.00} ( all I can afford right now ) only to discover a few days later, they withdrew {$1100.00} from my account instead. This then sent my checking account into a downward spiral, negative balance, and sent me into a huge confrontation with my credit union that charged me {$120.00} in fees. I think what I find so disturbing is all the complaints exactly like mine on the Internet despite all these " regulatory '' agencies that are obviously NOT doing their jobs. There are thousands of complaints about this company!! What company is as much of a nightmare as this one year after year after year and NOTHING HAPPENS TO THEM? Companies that have done far less have been shut down. XXXX? Right now I am demanding Nationstar refund my money/reverse the charge and return the funds back to my checking account. I have filed a complaint with the CA XXXX as well. The real point is no one cares in any of these agencies because if they did, this company would NO LONGER EXIST. Advice : do n't give Nationstar access to any of your accounts. Delete the info from your online account. MAIL in your payments.

Consumer Complaint: I had a lot of hail damage from a storm in XXXX and called both my first lien holder, then my second lien holder to let them know. I spoke to a rep at my first lien company. They gave me tracking numbers to use and said that they 're located in the same building as my second lien holder, so to put a cover sheet with my checks that states that once they endorse the checks, to please forward to my second lien holder to endorse as well. I asked if I should sign the checks and was told no, that it 's dangerous to put a check in the mail that 's already endorsed. With this package, I also mailed in a {$30.00} check so the checks could be rushed back to me. This was on XXXX/XXXX/16. On XXXX, I receive the checks back with a letter stating that the checks have to be endorsed before the mortgage company can endorse, and this was the exact opposite of what I was told on the phone. I really need these funds, as I 've already spent over {$30000.00} out of pocket, so I signed the checks and sent them back. I also called in stating I was including another insurance check that I recently received. I sent out the 2nd package on XXXX and also uploaded the contractor 's waiver of lien and XXXX to my claims for both mortgage companies. On XXXX, I receive a letter from my first lien holder stating that the " final disbursement check '' is enclosed. There was a check in the amount of {$3600.00} in the envelope, and not a word about my other checks. On XXXX, I received a letter from my second lien holder, asking for the XXXX and contractor 's waiver of lien again, when I had already confirmed weeks ago that they were already received by both mortgage companies. This letter is also requesting that I pay {$30.00} again to have my funds rushed back to me. I called my second lien holder about this letter and they had no idea how to help me and kept putting me on hold to " gather more information. '' Then the rep told me to call my first lien holder & ask for their monitoring procedures and to fax it to them once I receive it. The hail damage occurred on XXXX/XXXX/16 and today is XXXX/XXXX/16. I have paid over {$30000.00} out of pocket and I 've only received {$3600.00} labeled as a " final disbursement '' out of a total of {$23000.00} in checks that I sent to both mortgage companies. I have n't gotten a call or received a letter to explain the process to me. I spoke to someone again this morning, and the rep spoke to me like he had no idea what was going on with my loan, cleared up absolutely nothing and left me clueless once again.
