Consumer Complaint: I am writing to expose the fact that some of the banks that are listed as participants in the HARP Home Affordable Refinance Program, do n't honor their commitment to the program. I have called the Nationstar mortgage twice on ( XX/XX/2016 and XX/XX/2016 ) to inquire that my mortgage be refinanced at 2 % fix rate as the HARP was designed for people who find themselves in a situation similar to mine, where my property is worth less than the remaining balance and I got turn down. XXXX XXXX admitted that the Nationstar participates in the HARP but stated that a 2 % refinance is not doable. I have been with this bank for about 6 years. I have received numerous correspondences from them asking me to refinance my home in an effort to help save money, and also a few letters were sent to me commending my payment history. As an American citizen, I demand that I benefit from the bank service that our government offers, provided that I am qualified to make use of it.

Consumer Complaint: We are currently in an active Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy and decided to surrender the house. In XXXX, 2015, the house was in foreclosure with an auction date set and we applied for a modification against the advice of our attorney and at the recommendation of Nationstar. It was approved for more than what the house is worth and for a 40 year term. We decided to accept the offer anyway. We made our XXXX trial payments and submitted the documentation sent to us. It was returned to us because my husband failed to sign using his middle initial. We sent the new paperwork, which was received by Nationstar on XXXX XXXX. However, they lost our paperwork. I have been in constant communication with my loan officer, XXXX XXXX via email and phone to get this matter straightened out. All the while, Nationstar would not accept a mortgage payment " until the account is updated which ca n't be done until they receive the paperwork ''. The online account statement also states erroneous amounts paid and due. I keep getting a runaround ( we 're tracking the paperwork, not able to find paperwork, getting supervisor involved, still ca n't find paperwork, again getting supervisor involved, will call with update and no phone calls ). I have since received a copy of the original paperwork. At this point, we want the mortgage due date to begin in XXXX since we 've been waiting to pay our mortgage. We want a fresh start. Nationstar is unwilling to help us solve this matter. After giving us a runaround for three months and not accepting our payments, they now want the due date to be XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, I have XXXX mortgages with Nationstar Mortgage, all of which are automatically deducted from my checking accounts. In XXXX, I was the victim of identity theft which prompted my bank to lock out access to my accounts. Unbeknownst to me, this prevented my accounts from automatically paying XXXX of the loans ( XXXX ). Nationstar did not notify me of this problem in writing ; its agents called, but inexplicably failed to leave messages so I had no way of knowing who was calling. Moreover, I was on extended travel in a remote location and so could not access my accounts to investigate any potential problem. I called Nationstar and paid the past due amount, the current amount, the next installment and restored the auto-pay feature. I even paid the {$4.00} penalty. I asked Nationstar to consider removing the derogatory incident from my credit report given that it was caused directly by identity theft and that I had made a good faith effort to correct it. Nationstar asked me to submit proof - which I did - via email but then did not respond. In addition, it assessed an inexplicable {$3.00} charge to my next statement.

Consumer Complaint: Nation star mortgage does not own my mortgage nor have ever owned my mortgage. The court has acknowledged this however they report the credit agencies as if I owe them money. Only after I complained to XXXX did nation star stop reporting and marked my file as frocluser process started. Nation star had zero authority to ever report to the credit bureau and I demand nation star delete this account from my credit history all together as nation star routinely does with other borrowers where nation star has no interest.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased my home in 2006 from XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX sold my mortgage to Nationstar. Everything was fine as far as I knew. I was told by nationstar I could lower my current mortgage payment with a low rate refinance. So, I refinanced my mortgage. My mortgage briefly changed, not much, then went back up. I called and inquired why. I was told my escrow with XXXX was not enough to cover current escrow when I refinanced. Never heard this before and I asked about my equity from my house and was told they used it. I never agreed to that. I was mislead, tricked and misinformed intentionally. After 10 yrs from a XXXX mortgage, after refinancing with Nationstar, I still owe XXXX. My mortgage was lower before I refinanced. I requested a copy of my refinance papers and they never sent it. I never went to the bank they sent travel notaries to my house. If Nationstar purchased my loan, why am I being penalized from their purchase from XXXX. I did n't choose them. What can be done?
