Consumer Complaint: I was terminated from my XXXX job & due to the loss/decrease of income, I applied for a modification. Prior to, I had NEVER been late or missed a payment on my mortgage. Nationstar mortgage declined the modification 3 times & sent me a letter that they were foreclosing on my home. The letter stated the sale date was XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I went to XXXX for assistance, and was told they did not understand why the modification was denied. After XXXX re-applied for the modification for me and it was denied a 4th time, I had no other choice but to file Chapter XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( due to XXXX holidays ). However, on XXXX XXXX, XXXX I received a call from Nationstar. The customer service rep stated XXXX XXXX XXXX ( the person that was handling my modification ) no longer worked in that department, but my modification had finally been approved. I explained that I had Just left the attorney 's office to file bankruptcy, to stop the foreclosure and I would need to contact my attorney to see what to do. XXXX XXXX ( my attorney ) advised me to get something in writing, or by email, to verify the modification had been approved, before he cancelled the bankruptcy proceedings. Nationstar refused to give me anything. In XXXX XXXX, they sent me paperwork to complete a 3 month trial period, before the modification would be finalized & approved. I paid all 3 months, completed the " finalized '' modification paperwork & have paid ON TIME every month since XXXX XXXX. My attorney has informed me that once I receive finalized paperwork for the modification, I can convert to Chapter XXXX, or have my bankruptcy dismissed ( since the foreclosure was the reason I filed ). To date, I STILL HAVE NOT received a finalized modification! Every month I call to pay my mortgage and I inquire on the paperwork. Each time I am told it has to go for " booking '' and once this is done, they will send it to me. I do not understand why it has taken over a year and 6 months, and I STILL have not received these papers?!

Consumer Complaint: I am a XXXX in XXXX XXXX Nevada. I was representing the buyer of property at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX Nevada XXXX. I was made to suffer an Oppression at the hands of Nationstar Mortgage and their representative. ( 26 U.S. Code 7214 - Offenses by officers and employees of the United States ) On or about XXXX/XXXX/2016 XXXX XXXX XXXX, and NationStar Mortgage, working as an agent of the United States, on behalf of Nationstar, in settlement of a HAFA mortgage adjustment, and under the color and authority of this program, while full well knowing that as a real estate agent, I am compelled both legally and ethically to work in the best interests of my client, demanded that I accept a reduction in compensation to complete the above mentioned sale. Per his position it is assumed that he knew of my obligations to my client. He has by his action cost me a reduction in my compensation of more than {$1100.00}. I pray that you will demand that NationStar display their records of this transaction, compensate the real estate agents to the original contracted amount and find their answer for reducing the seller compensation by {$12000.00}.

Consumer Complaint: NationStar has continuously refused to deal with me honestly & fairly. I fell behind in my payments when my husband died but now I have help from a neighbor trying to reinstate my mortgage. We started about 4 months ago, got a reinstatement amount, and were told by the attorneys that NationStar told them to refuse the check. Since then we have gone from around {$25000.00} reinstatement to around {$40000.00} reinstatement with no explanation of fees. I do not believe I should have to pay for anything since the refusal of the reinstatement check several months ago since I offered payment of all back payments & expenses. I have emails back & forth from NationStar showing where they refused to send what we requested. From the limited details I have, I have been billed for services that were never performed and overbilled for services ( like {$400.00} to put a lockbox on the door ). I now have the ability to reinstate the mortgage, but refuse to pay for things that I do not really owe. All I am asking for is a detailed accounting of these expenses & credit for items I should not have to pay. I 'm asking for an investigation of my account ( and others if you like ) to show a pattern of fraud & abuse. I have many more comments & details concerning my frustration & aggravation as a XXXX American trying to save my family home of XXXX generations ...

Consumer Complaint: I have a complaint against Nationstar Mortgage. I had applied for a HAMP modification Loan in XX/XX/2016 only to find that the application was pulled in XX/XX/2016. I did not find this out till XX/XX/2016 after I called them and was told over the phone that the loan application was pulled. The person on the phone could not tell me why it was pulled. He did tell me that there was a note in my file that the property was condemned. My home is in the process of being rebuilt after Superstorm XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX when they pulled my application, the structure was already built on piles. The siding and roof on, as well as the doors and windows in. Neither the township nor the county I live in is going to condemn a new house being built with a state HUD Grant under the NJ RREM program. Nationstar had to have made this determination that the property was condemned. I do n't know if this had anything to do with the pulling of the application, because I never received any form of communication that it was being pulled. Can a mortgage company decide to pull your HAMP modification loan application without giving you notice that it is being done? Or without giving an explanation as to why? I had just learned that XXXX had filed on XX/XX/2016 to foreclose on the property.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a complaint against Nationstar. Please see Case number XXXX. In the meantime, the property in question was listed for sale with a local realtor. After over 300 days on the market, we were able to find an interested buyer. Nationstar was informed that a short sale buyer was interested, and the realtor followed the instructions of Nationstar. I also submitted all documents requested by Nationstar. Recently, I was notified by Nationstar that the short sale was denied because the application was incomplete. I have attached a copy of the letter sent by Nationstar.

Consumer Complaint: WE filed for a loan modification, due to hardship, illness and low income, with Nationstar in XXXX 2016. It took 2 weeks for the 'time sensative ' application to reach us. We were assigned a loan specialist, XXXX XXXX, to oversee the process. We sent the documents requested, sent more documents when the first were deemed insufficient and so on. XXXX XXXX was never available for the telephone, when he would call and reach our screening message he would hang up, and when responding to a message left for him would call back, but always at the wrong phone number. Finally we reached an individual that saw what the problem with our documents was and we sent the correct one on Thursday, XXXX XXXX, 2016. The following Monday, XXXX XXXX, our application showed all the requirements had been met and it had been forwarded to the underwriters. Tuesday, XXXX XXXX, the message had changed, and we were informed that our application had expired XX/XX/2016, and we could re-apply if we wanted too. My wife was able to get through to a different agent on Thursday XXXX XXXX, 2016, who informed her that the reason the action had been taken was that there were better programs, ones that fit our needs better. Friday, XXXX XXXX, in a one hour phone tag event, she was informed that had the loan modification gone through, we would have had lower monthly payments, but Nationstar would have added an additional 20 years to our loan duration. We currently have 20 years, 7 months left, I am XXXX ( soon to be XXXX ), and had a XXXX 2 1/2 years ago. My wife is XXXX and does not receive any XXXX payments. It is unrealistic for Nationstar to expect us to maintain a mortgage until I am XXXX years old. There never was a communication that shared their intent, the loan 'specialist ' XXXX XXXX was never available, was non-responsive and intentionally obfuscated the actions of Nationstar by returning calls to the wrong number. The last agent my wife talked to had no idea who XXXX XXXX was, and said that he would institute an investigation into why he was allowed to act on Nationstar 's behalf. We were applying for a loan modification under the auspices of HARP, in an effort to remain in our house. We are current on our payments and have never missed a payment, but have had some bad luck and ill health lately. We proceeded in good faith. It does not seem that Nationstar has done so.

Consumer Complaint: Back in XXXX, I have started with assisting a client with the process of his short sale. From the very beginning I have advised the servicer that there are additional non traditional liens on the property but I feel that the negotiator has either conveniently ignored my warnings or did not understand them. It has been 10 months and I feel they have stretched this file out needlessly and have added on XXXX extra months of city fees to the additional liens and there was no real cause for this as I have outlined everything for them initially, but their internal department refused to listen to my comments/suggestions. There seems to be no end in sight. And the buyer/seller is feeling very uneasy about the whole transaction.

Consumer Complaint: Our mortgage was in forclosure. Our account has been caught up and in good standing since XX/XX/2016. We are continually getting approached outside our house from companies wanting to help with our foreclosure. Also, today someone put a sticker on our front door stating that this property is scheduled for final disposition. I have made several phone calls to our mortgage company to make sure we were in good standing and today is the first time someone offered to add a privacy code on our account so no 3rd party companies can access it. Unfortunately, it will not go in to effect for 30 days. I do not want my kids being approached outside my house! Please help!
