Consumer Complaint: We went online to get our tax statement from the mortgage company online and see our monthly balance for payment has an increase of $ XXXX. It says not enough money in escrow. We purchased a house 2 years ago. After the first partial year of having a mortgage, we received a letter with a check from NationStar saying your escrow is too much, giving us {$2400.00} plus reducing our escrow account by another $ XXXX. I called them and said this seems like a lot of money, are you sure you wo n't short us or in future years jack up our rates. The response oh no, we are pretty good at this and it shows we do not need this money. So you can apply it to your principal or cash it, its your call. So we put it in our savings. Now this year, no notice, although their online system says they sent a letter on XXXX, never received it, that our escrow is short. So now they need {$2700.00} dollars to cover the shortage, plus raising our monthly escrow amount. All this equals $ XXXX increase. Now we only have 10 days before our insane mortgage payment is due.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint applies to Nationstar Mortgage LLC. I pay my mortgage online, generally, except for a couple times when the website was not working. This past period ( XX/XX/2017 ) I received notice that my mortgage payment had been withdrawn from my account although I had not made any payment. I contacted the company via their secure email and inquired as to who had authorized an automatic payment. After a few days I received an email response telling me what an automatic payment was and how to sign up. They did not answer my question as to who authorized an automatic payment. Yesterday I received a notice placed on my door that I should call them. This type of notice is typically a prelude to foreclosure action. Given the litigation against all mortgage lenders and servicers concerning fraud, illegal foreclosure, and other criminal behavior since the mortgage meltdown and recession, I do not trust these entities including Nationstar. These outfits are basically fraudulent enterprises as is evident by all of the lawsuits filed. It is n't clear to me what their angle is, but they were NOT authorized to withdraw funds from my account.

Consumer Complaint: I inherited Nationstar mortgage company- they were not who I initially financed my home with. I have had problems with them since the first month they took over my loan. The first thing was, I have a XXXX. I am in and out of doctor offices, etc. I had paid all my payments on time until one summer when I was able to pay only half and worked out an arrangement to pay other half by end of month. No one ever explained to me that that money would go into a " suspense account '' and would NOT be applied to what I owed! When I went to pay off the months balance, I was given the entire months rate PLUS the next month. When I asked what happened to the half I had already paid, they then explained the suspense count but REFUSED to let it be counted toward what I owed- so in the meantime, they were racking up on late fees and increased interest rates. It has been one problem after another, but this last issue is IT for me- XXXX. I go on XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX. Although my life has literally been turned upside down, I have STILL tried, to the best of my ability, to pay my bills. I made a payment to Nationstar on XX/XX/XXXX and authorized that payment to be taken from MY bank account ( which should have been the ONLY account on file since I pay for this house ), however, my husband and I keep separate accounts and he had made ONE payment for me when I was very sick but did NOT approve keeping his information. Nationstar deducted the mortgage out of his account rather than mine WITHOUT his authorization!!!!! Whether his information was in their system or not ( which it should n't have been since he did n't give them permission )!! I have attempted to rectify this situation but the people you speak with there are rude, disrespectful, uncaring and unwilling to help you WORK OUT A PLAN SO YOU DONT LOSE YOUR HOME- especially when you have been a paying customer for all of these years other than when you are hospitalized or at home so sick that you ca n't even get out of bed- I am tired of this company and their practices and someone needs to look into what they charge their customers and what they actually do with money paid and how they keep other people 's account information on file so they can use it at anytime they please!!!!

Consumer Complaint: The lender has been provided sufficient documents for a decision to be made on the loss mitigation review - the docs provided give the lender more than enough information for them to complete the review, but they refuse to do so. the client has stated several times that due to the transfer of servicer 's that she can not obtain a mortgage statement on the property she lives in due to the new lender having to update there system- A new statement will be mailed to her on XXXX/XXXX/17, but the lender has been provided the statement the new lender has sent which shows the mortgage payment amount. - the lender also has a problem with the HOA statement provided because it is not from XXXX 2017, the statement is in fact from XXXX this. These are unreasonable request by the lender and they are not willing to complete the review.

Consumer Complaint: My fixed rate mortgage payment went up again because of escrow. Nationstar never offered me a choice of paying the difference off or just accepting the payment hike. This happened for the second time with that company. Whereas before, when my mortgage was handled by other companies ( at least XXXX in the past ), I was always given that choice and was able to keep the payment amount the same. When I talked to Nationstar 's mortgage representative he said that they had sent the notification by email. I checked. That email did not have any sort of offer to pay off the escrow shortage. And even after I paid off the shortage while on the phone, the representative still said that the payment amount would still increase, even though less than before I paid shortage. I would like to know why a fixed rate mortgage payment still goes up with Nationstar and more importantly, why do they ignore my right of a choice to pay off the shortage before they bill me with higher mortgage payment. And why do they not let me to pay the Escrow myself? The Nationstar 's mortgage representative was not helpful with those questions. But he did send me the Annual Escrow Disclosure Statement this time, when it was too late.

Consumer Complaint: I had a second mortgage with Nationstar that was removed through a chapter XXXX bankruptcy. The lien was removed and the recorded document of the lien removal was sent to me. When I go on to my Nationstar account, for my 1st mortgage I still have with them, unfortunately, I see the information listed below. When I call the collection company, they tell me yes the lien was released. " Do n't worry about what you see on your Nationstar Account, only you can see it, no one else. No one has ever called before about this. '' The customer service man also told me that the collection agency listed below is a subsidiary of Nationstar ( Nationstar IS a collection agency! ). I asked since they are related, would you please communicate to them to remove it. He told me he can not do that. He told me not to worry about it since it is no longer on my credit report - how did he know that? Consumer Complaint: Consumer Finance Complaint On XXXX XXXX, XXXX my husband, my brother and I closed escrow on a home purchase. The initial loan had all of our names on it but when it sold the new lender dropped my brother 's name from the loan. It was n't until XXXX XXXX when he ran his credit did he notice the home loan was not on his report. I started the first of many unsuccessful attempts to reach someone from Nationstar Mortgage who could help in XXXX XXXX. The first experience was speaking with a customer service rep who noted my concern and said I 'd have a written response in two weeks. The response I received was a letter explaining our loan was not assumable. The second experience was with a representative contacting me from Nationstar 's social media department after I gave them a bad rating. XXXX XXXX asked me to send the original settlement statement, which I did. He was going to forward it to another department and I never heard another thing, neither did he respond to my follow up inquiry in XXXX XXXX.
