Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I received a letter dated XX/XX/23 from National Credit Systems, alleging I owe a debt, which I dispute. Their letter said if I wrote to them by XX/XX/23, they must stop collection until they send me verification of the debt. On XX/XX/23, I sent them a dispute letter via their online portal and email address, requesting verification of the debt and that they stop collection efforts until they provide same. On XX/XX/23, I received a letter with further collection efforts, despite having received no verification of the debt, in violation of the FDCPA. I again wrote to National Credit Systems on XX/XX/23 asking them to cease collection efforts until sending verification of the debt, yet they reported this unverified debt to the credit reporting agencies on XX/XX/23.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to formally dispute a debt that has been erroneously reported on my credit report by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Here are the key details : Collection Agency : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Original Creditor : XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX Date Assigned : XX/XX/2023 Original Amount Owed : {$23.00} Status : UNPAID Creditor Classification : Rental or Leasing Date of First Delinquency : XX/XX/2023 This debt is not valid. I have never been notified of this alleged debt, and I have confirmation from the original creditor, XXXX XXXX XXXX, that I do not owe them anything. I am concerned about this incorrect reporting as it has negatively impacted my credit score. I am currently in the process of buying a house, and the appearance of this invalid debt on my credit report is causing significant issues with my mortgage application. It is critical that this matter be resolved swiftly to correct my credit report. Enclosed with this letter is an email from XXXX XXXX XXXX confirming that I do not owe any debt, plus the rental lease I signed for your records. I respectfully request that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau investigate this matter and ensure the removal of this incorrect debt from all credit report bureaus.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern, I am filing this complaint against National Credit Systems , Inc. regarding their handling of an alleged debt associated with XXXX XXXX XXXX. This situation concerns account number XXXX, with a series of communications and evidence submissions dating back to XX/XX/2023. Summary of the Issue : Initial Dispute and Evidence Submission : On XX/XX/2023, I sent a final notice and reassertion of my debt dispute to National Credit Systems , Inc . This included substantial photographic evidence, sent via certified mail and email, showing violations of our lease agreement by XXXX XXXX XXXX, specifically under Florida Statutes 83.51 ( 1 ) and 83.53 ( 2 ). Evidence of Communication : On XX/XX/2023, I forwarded screenshots of the dated dispute letter, the certified mail receipt, and a photograph of the letter being sent. This was to ensure that there was no discrepancy in communication and to serve as an additional documented response. Failure to Address Evidence : Despite the clear and documented evidence provided, National Credit Systems , Inc. has failed to adequately address or refute the claims made. Consequently, I have reiterated that unless the agency provides a substantive rebuttal to the evidence, the alleged debt should be considered invalid. Demand for XXXX : I have repeatedly demanded that all collection activities, including any reporting to credit bureaus, cease immediately unless National Credit Systems , Inc. can lawfully rebut my claims. A written acknowledgment of the closure of this account has been requested within 15 business days from each communication. Given the above details, I believe that National Credit Systems , Inc. 's failure to properly address the provided evidence and to invalidate the debt is a clear violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). Their continued pursuit of this debt, in the absence of a proper rebuttal, not only disregards the evidence but also my rights as a consumer. This situation has caused significant stress and inconvenience, and I seek the CFPB 's assistance in resolving this matter fairly, in accordance with federal regulations. Thank you for your attention to this issue

Consumer Complaint: I filed for XXXX XXXX bankruptcy in XX/XX/XXXX. The bankruptcy was discharged in XX/XX/XXXX. National Credit Systems was included in the bankruptcy. They have now in the month of XX/XX/XXXX added the debt back to my credit report. They are aware that the account they have from XXXX at XXXX was discharged. They then attempted to pass the debt to my son. They are stating that he was a co applicant. However, he was a minor at the time. He was not of age to be on the lease. I have advised this debt collecting agency of this several times. Now they have added this account back to my credit file. At this point, I will seek legal action because this is causing emotional distress. I will definitely be reporting to the bankruptcy court of their continued attempts to still collect a debt that was discharged in federal bankruptcy. This lease was never a co- applicant lease. He was a XXXX living with his mother. I have been more than patient with National Credit Systems.

Consumer Complaint: I went through identity theft a few years ago and someone fraudulently opened up several accounts in my name, credit cards, loans and even an apartment in Missouri. I live in Georgia. I contacted the apartment complex and the collections agency that the apartments hired and sent them tons of sufficient evidence to prove that I didnt live in the state of Missouri and that Ive never been to that apartment. I sent them my lease in Ga for that current year, I sent check stubs for that duration to prove I worked full time in Georgia, I sent a copy of the police report to prove theres an ongoing investigation and I also sent a picture of my drivers license to show that it will not match the one they seen when the lease was executed even after all of these things, theyre still saying its my account and will not remove it from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: Starting on XXXX, I started to ask how they verified that the debt of National Credit Systems Inc is accurately reporting and send a second letter requesting the method of verification from the credit bureau on XXXX when i received a response from XXXX that it has been verified as accurate. The reason why I was requesting verification is that XXXX and XXXX could not verify the debt was valid, so these bureaus deleted it from my report. 15 U.S. Code 1681s what has been violated. XXXX has fail to supply me with anything bearing my signature to verify the debt of National Credit Systems Inc is mine. Having this information on my account is getting my credit denied for home loans and credit accounts.

Consumer Complaint: Around the time that I turned XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2020, my XXXX sibling XXXX XXXX obtained my social security card and was able to rent out three apartments to strangers. I was never aware of the situation until I tried to get my first apartment just to be told that I've had three previous evictions on my credit. if you pay attention to the time frame there's absolutely no way an XXXX woman should be able to afford three aprtment complexes. They've never seen my face nor my legitimate information so I'm confused as to how this went on for so long and they were unaware, or maybe they simply just didn't care. I need this removed from my credit because it has been hindering me from flourishing in my life and I'm now XXXX years of age.
