Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I received notification from National Credit Systems , Inc. that I had an outstanding balance with XXXX Apartment Houses- XXXX, OH and an invoice for the outstanding balance was sent via mail in XX/XX/. I did not receive an invoice nor any other form of communication from XXXX ( of which they possess my phone number and current address ). I directly called XXXX corporate office in XXXX, OH and left a voicemail message stating I had been turned into a collection agency without receiving any type of communication from the property manager/corporate office. I immediately received a telephone call from the property manager ( XXXX XXXX ) during which she informed me that I did not give proper 30 days notice of my vacation. I have a series of emails and phone records during which she and I discussed my current living situation. I received text messages and even visited with XXXX on the day I vacated the property once my professional cleaner performed her duties after the movers packed up my belongings. During my last phone call with XXXX in XX/XX/, she informed me that she would get back to me after speaking with the corporate office. I did not receive any communication of any form from her or XXXX. I have had multiple conversations ( of which I have dates and email correspondence with XXXX XXXX of National Credit Systems , Inc. ) during which I was told she would follow up with XXXX for additional details and to await for further information. I did not hear back from XXXX following my last conversation with her on XX/XX/. Since then, my credit score has suffered a significant hit because of the reporting of National Credit Systems, which I want to be rectified for this lack of communication and misrepresentation of my non paying a supposed final balance. All email correspondence is available, as well as dates, times and participants of telephone calls regarding this matter.

Consumer Complaint: I first noticed the debt was added to my credit on XX/XX/2022. I then tried to reach out to the company but they wouldnt provide me with any information they informed me that the account was already given to a collection agency and I would have to reach out to them for any additional concerns I may have. I informed them several times that the account wasnt mine and I never occupied the unit I even requested a copy of the lease and any information they may have given them but I was again denied.

Consumer Complaint: Months ago I made a complaint with this company about fraudulent credit inquiries that were identified on my credit report for renters verification. one date being XX/XX/XXXX and the the other XX/XX/XXXX. Someone stole my identity and sought out XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to obtain credit illegally in my name. I later was advised by this company that the illegal credit pulls were not going to be removed but did not provide a reason why. I never authorized anyone to use my personal information or social security number to obtain credit. I was notified via email through XXXX, and XXXX that I now have a account in collections. The account in collections was never opened by me nor did i seek out credit from this company. It has negatively impacted my credit. A police report was made and filed with all three of the credit bureaus for identity theft, noting that the collections account is a result of my identity being stolen and used without my knowledge or permission. The renters verification needs to be removed. The fraudulent account was sent to NATIONAL CREDIT SYSTEMS and given account number XXXX. According to this collections agency, {$6300.00} is owed. I am not responsibly for this debt as it was obtained illegally and fraudulently. A police report was filed With the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX NY Report number XXXX

Consumer Complaint: RE : Account XXXX Please be advised that you are attempting to collect on an expired debt. I am invoking my right to cease you, based on factual law that this debt in question is legally expired under the Statute of Limitations. The statute of limitations in the state of Texas is 4 years. This account was opened in XXXX of XXXX. This account and debt should have been ceased as of XXXX of XXXXXXXX Accordingly, I am requesting that you do not attempt to collect this expired debt, and should you seek legal recourse I will invoke my right of the expired statute as a valid defense. Additionally, any attempts to harm my credit rating by updating or changing dates after you have been informed that the debt is expired, are a direct violation of the FDCPA. Any abuse to my credit rating on your part will be met with all recourse available to me. I am aware of how long items may remain on my credit reports and any attempt to extend the reporting time will be investigated by me and reported to the XXXX XXXX XXXX and my State Attorney General. I am completely aware of how long the debt is legally collectable and how long it is legally reportable. I realize a debt is allowed to be reported to my credit for 7 years, and my research has shown me that often a collection agency will reset the date of original charge off to the date they purchased it, thus trying to extend the reporting time in an attempt to force a consumer into paying it. I am informing you of this knowledge so that you may do the right thing. I have no intention of renewing the expired statute of limitations, so please stop wasting your time contacting me. I expect this will be the last time I hear from you, and I expect the following account to be deleted from my credit report within 7 days NATIONAL CREDIT SYSTEM XXXX
