Consumer Complaint: It was brought to my attention in XXXX of XXXX that National Credit Systems , Inc was collecting a debt for XXXX At XXXX XXXX Apartments in the amount of {$7100.00}. I immediately disputed with the 2 credit bureaus that showed this account. This could not be my account because of the amount. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I reached out by phone to National Credit Systems , Inc, spoke to XXXX XXXX, and disputed ownership of this account. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I called XXXX XXXX for an update. I was informed that the Apartment Complex called the day before and confirmed that this is my account. I asked for an itemized list of charges by email. The list is clearly incomplete, it looks pieced together. I then gave her a list of items that I was disputing, including an amount of {$4000.00} for accelerated rent. I also pointed out that the deposit shown was incorrect, and had not been applied to any of the balance. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I called and spoke to XXXX XXXX about an update on the dispute. She informed me that nothing had been responded to, and that 30 days would be up on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I asked her what happens if the Apartment complex does not respond by then. She stated that they would have to close the account at that point. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I called XXXX XXXX to ask what the status of the dispute was, and she informed me that the Apartment complex had not responded. I then asked that they close the account, and she said they would not. On XXXX XXXX I called to speak with XXXX XXXX using her extension and got XXXX, who states he is the floor supervisor. XXXX informed me that the Apartment complex does not have to validate or prove anything, and they are not bound to respond to anything within 30 days. I then requested the rental history on the unit in question. He was not hearing any other disputes. On XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX called me to inform me that they removed the accelerated rent in the amount of {$4000.00}, leaving a balance of XXXX. I asked for another itemized list of what was still being charged, and to today 's date, XXXX XXXX, XXXX I have not received the revised list. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX returned my call that I placed to XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. In that call, I explained that I had not received the new itemized list of charges, but would like to settle this account for {$1200.00}. I was told by XXXX that that was not going to happen. On XXXX XXXX I made a call to XXXX XXXX XXXX, the management group for XXXX at XXXX XXXX apartments. He stated that he would reach out to National Credit Systems and have them call and talk with me. I called again on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and he was surprised no one had called me. He said he would try again. I then called again on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and he explained that he wrote an email to the manager of National Credit Systems, and confirmed my account number that I gave him. He stated that when he spoke to them the day before, they could not find my account. I called National Credit Systems on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and got XXXX again. He stated that they had received the email, but felt that they did not need to call me because they had spoken with me earlier in the week.I again offered to pay {$1200.00} to settle the account, and XXXX informed me that there is not a settlement offer on my account. I then asked to speak to a manager above him, he stated that they do not answer phone calls, and I could not just speak to a manager because I did not like what he was saying. When I asked what did he mean the managers do n't answer phone calls, he got loud and said thank you for calling National Credit Systems and hung up. I then called back and asked the operator to speak to a manager above XXXX, she transferred me to XXXX. I asked XXXX what his position was, and he stated XXXX XXXX. He then put me on hold. He came back, and I asked to speak to a manager above him and XXXX. He asked me what could he help me with. I asked again if he was the manager, he stated that he told me what his position was. I asked for a manager above he and XXXX, he put me on hold, and sent me to his own voice mail. National Credit Systems is still reporting a debt of XXXX on my XXXX and XXXX credit reports.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX 2017 I contacted National Credit Systems out of Georgia regarding a debt they claim I owe to an apartment complex. I spoke to several people there that used profane language and stated " it does not matter what I do, its not coming off my credit report until I pay '' They also stated they are not required to and do not have to provide me with the original creditors contact information to dispute after asking several people in their office. I have contacted the supposedly creditor using published phone numbers however they have no record of me owing them anything but also mentioned they are maybe the 6th owner in a few years. I also have an email referencing this. The collections company was made aware of this and still refuse to provide the creditors info so I can dispute. The paperwork that was sent to me came from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX however that 's not what is on my credit report and paperwork shows a XXXX balance however they are still going forth with collection efforts and no contact info for the original creditor. This has caused me not to be able to obtain residency and is forcing me to maintain current residency which I can no longer afford. If this is not resolved soon, I will be forced into a homeless situation.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from National Credit Systems , Inc indicating that I owed them {$9100.00} and that the original creditor was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Therefore on XX/XX/XXXX I mailed a validation letter requesting information regarding the account. I lived at the XXXX XXXX XXXX and when my lease expired I moved. I left the apartment clean also. The owner is taking advantage of me and my family. I believe that they are taking advantage of me because of my limited English and country of origin. I am requesting that they provide proof of the debt that they claim I owe them. This account is impacting my ability to find a safe place for my family and impacting my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing this letter in response to the letter received from National Credit Systems , Inc. on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. In the letter the debt collector has mentioned that I owe {$820.00} to the XXXX House in XXXX, IL. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I sent out a debt validation letter to the mentioned company asking for the following documentations 1. Agreement with the creditor that authorizes you to collect on this alleged debt. 2. The agreement bearing my signature stating that I have agreed to assume the debt. 3. Valid copies of the debt agreement stating the amount of the debt and interest charges. 4. Documentation containing the creditors signature and my signature indicating a routine inspection of the apartment unit was completed in presence of both the parties. 5. Documentation showing the validity and necessity of the charges that were applied on my account. 6. Proof that the Statute of Limitations has not expired. 7. Complete payment history on this account along with an accounting of all additional charges being assessed. 8. Show me that you are licensed to collect in my state ; and 9. Your license numbers and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has failed to respond to my letter with all the necessary proper documentation. They sent me few documents such as the lease agreement between the XXXX House and myself, Invoices and Move-In/Move-Out Inspection document. Over here I would like to mention the XXXX House in XXXX is charging me for the replacement of the carpet for the entire unit, which I rented and stayed for 1 year. I have mentioned in a letter to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX, that the charges that XXXX House has made is unethical and does not comply with the lease that XXXX House and myself have signed before moving into the apartment. After moving out of the XXXX House, I had exchanged emails with the authorities at XXXX House and they have shared several pictures of the carpet. I would like to raise few points over here, based on the email communication between XXXX House and myself and the lease document, invoices and inspection document received from National Credit Systems , Inc . 1. Pictures of the carpet with no stain The pictures of the carpet provided by the XXXX House, shows there were no stain or mark in the carpet for which the entire carpet need to be replaced. A regular vacuum or a steam vacuum would have cleaned the carpet and made it look new. I want a proper justification on why the entire carpet was replaced when it was not at all necessary. Replacing the entire carpet, when that is not needed, and charging the amount back to the previous renter is an unethical practice, which need to be dealt with properly. 2. Carpet life The life these kind of carpets are usually 5~6 years. It can be seen in the email from XXXX House that the carpet was replaced just prior to my move to the unit. Based on that, the carpet had about 4~5 years of life left on it. Also going by the pictures taken by XXXX House representatives, the carpet is in a pretty good condition which does not require a full replacement. This also indicates unethical practices conducted by the XXXX House. 3. Inspection was not done in front of me, no signature Based on the documents provided by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX there is a Move-In/Move-Out report which needs to be signed by both the parties to accept the damages done to the unit, which requires replacement or cleaning. It can be seen from the document that my signature was not present in the document. The Move-out inspection was not done in front of me. XXXX House never invited me for a joint inspection. A joint inspection is an absolute necessary in this matter, because we will never be able to find out any intentional damage done by XXXX House to get the replacement cost from me. 4. Normal wear and tear Based on the XXXX of XXXX renters lease guidelines, a normal wear and tear that happens due to living in the unit during the lease tenure is acceptable. Over here from the pictures that were given to us by XXXX House, we could not see any damage on the carpet apart from normal wear and tear that can happen while staying in the unit. I am sending this letter to raise unethical practices conducted by the XXXX House in XXXX. I also demand if either XXXX House, XXXX or XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX are not able to clarify my concern, the debt amount be removed from my credit file in all XXXX credit bureaus immediately. For any other concern or question, please reach me at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, AL XXXX

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I was notified by XXXX that someone was attempting to open a XXXX XXXX account and a XXXX account in my name. XXXX stopped it, but the criminal apparently opened a bank account in my name and has bounced checks in my name. The original credit grantor AND their collection agency have been provided proof of the identity theft. On XX/XX/XXXX, they BOTH, in writing, promised to remove this account from my name and credit report, yet I received a letter today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) that is dated XX/XX/XXXX, that boasts that they are still reporting this fraudulent account on my credit report. They have been provided proof, they accepted that proof, they promised to follow the FCA and remove the fraudulent information, and are now willfully breaking the laws that are in place to protect consumers by continuing to report what they know to be a fraudulent account on MY credit report.
