Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to get some information for an account from National Credit Systems. They are trying to collect for an apartment that I resided at, XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have written them multiple times and the only information I have obtain from them was that it was a collection for these apartments. I don't think I owe anything for this apartment. I didn't break the lease, I didn't mess up the apartment and I even came back after I move everything out to clean to make sure I did an acquit job. I have repeatedly asked for an itemized list of what the charges are for. I just don't think that I could possibly owe {$1800.00} for this apartment. They refuse to send me any information.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: This is a complaint against National Credit Systems, about an account that was opened without my authorization. I have disputed this account with the credit report, sending the evidence of the identity theft, including the police report and affidavit. When I tried to remove the account through the bureaus I was unable to, I am sending the complaint through the CFPB with all the evidence through fax and email that can be able to be provided. So this account can be removed because it was never authorized and it is fraud. Of course the information matches up. Someone clearly used my information without my authorization. I have provided more than sufficient evidence to get these false accounts removed. When someone is the victim of identity theft, it is simply a nightmare trying to get false information removed from a credit file. I have contacted all of the false creditors listed on my credit file. I have challenged all of the false listings on my credit file. Nothing ever happens to fix the situation.

Consumer Complaint: Once I realized my credit had been compromised I went on a campaign to repair it one of the companies I came up against was National Credit Systems the original complaint came from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to which I never lived at. I have been trying to get them to remove this from my credit report for years. It was actually removed from XXXX and XXXX for some reason it is still on XXXX. I didn't even get the chance to ruin my credit someone else did it for me I am trying to buy a house in the next two years and this is a problem. These people are rude I try to reach out them so that I can get the details of this account and they hang up or don't want to speak to me. I figure this is the best way so that we can take care of this once and for all.

Consumer Complaint: I terminated my lease ( in compliance with Texas law ) with the XXXX XXXX/XXXX XXXX and moved out in XX/XX/2017. They immediately sued me for roughly one month 's rent ( {$2300.00} ), the case was dismissed by the County Court at the hearing on XX/XX/2017 after I agreed not to sue them for damages. A month later National Credit Systems contacted me claiming I owed roughly {$7600.00} to the apartment complex. I provided them with a clear explanation and certified copies of the Court dismissal order, and even gave them a copy of my new lease showing I had moved out in XX/XX/XXXX. They ignored the information and apparently " bought '' the debt from the apartment company, after which they contacted me repeatedly demanding that I agree to pay at least some of the alleged debt or they would report it negatively to the three credit bureaus - which they did despite knowing the XXXX 's claim that I owed them money had been dismissed by a Court of Law. They continue to report this fraudulent item and I am being harmed. I provided all this information to all 3 credit bureaus but they refuse to remove the fraudulent item from my file.

Consumer Complaint: The XXXX at XXXX XXXX has committed acts of fraud and extortion against me. The XXXX at XXXX XXXX informed me that a payment of {$1800.00} was due on XX/XX/2017. When I refused to pay the XXXX at XXXX XXXX {$1800.00}, the XXXX at XXXX XXXX received permission from a judge to evict me. I was evicted by the constable on XX/XX/2017. I am not sure if the constable or the judge knew that I was being charged {$1800.00} when I agreed to pay the XXXX at XXXX XXXX {$940.00} a month. After I was evicted, National Credit Systems put a debt of {$4300.00} on my credit report. The XXXX at XXXX XXXX kept my {$400.00} deposit. I am now in debt {$5000.00} because I refused to pay the XXXX at XXXX XXXX {$1800.00} for the month of XX/XX/2017. The XXXX at XXXX XXXX also charged me fees because the apartment was in bad shape. I would like to see pictures to substantiate this claim. I attempted to pay National Credit Systems {$2100.00} to resolve this debt. National Credit systems refused to accept a payment of {$300.00} over the phone after I informed them that the last {$300.00} payment would not be paid form my savings account.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I have disputed a debt that is not mine with the collection company National Credit Systems for amount of XXXX dollars. I have also disputed the debt to the credit bureaus and they claim the debt was valid. I have never lived nor have i ever done business with the creditor XXXX was collecting for. I have asked for proof the debt was mine and the company was unable to provide anything with my social security number, date of birth or address. Nothing was provided showing i signed any contract or provided any banking information to this company i have not heard of. This account was closed on my credit a couple times and re opened by XXXX illegally. XXXX never sent any letter giving me a chance to dispute prior to reporting negatively on my credit. I am asking this be removed from my credit and collections actions be stopped as this is not my debt. Thanks!

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX in XXXX, TX submitted a debt to National Credit Systems under my name that was attached to a different tenant. I never lived there, I simply applied but did not move forward with the lease. Both XXXX XXXX and National Credit Systems were not helpful in correcting the situation. They repeatedly gave me the run around and treated me rudely ( NCS ) when in actuality I was only trying to correct an error on their part. NCS would not direct me to the correct departments or provide helpful information.
