Consumer Complaint: About a month ago, a XXXX analyst from M & T called to verify my identity. The rep swiftly gave out my entire SSN, DOB, and XXXX without my permission. Not long after there was fraud on my debit card, and prior to the transaction posting i called M & T to advise them. They placed a fraud status on my debit card, and assured me my auto billing would still go through, i would receive a card quickly, and the credits would appear quickly. A week later- no card, no credit, billing was declined. I called on XXXX different occassions and was told " no card since you are overlimit due to fraud '' - which makes no sense. Then they said they are allowed to wait 10 days to post a credit so they are waiting 10 days. Manager after manager failed to be helpful and provide a reasonable solution for me to access my checking account. I was told it was not their problem with my bills being declined, and they refused to give out the Executive office phone number. They allowed me to go almost 10 days from the reported fraud to send a card and provide a provisional credit, and only when prompted did they apologize. To add insult to injury, i jsut received a letter from them stating " Let us manage your account '' and inside it informed me that i was over my credit limit- which was due to fraud!!! Such a terrible experience for a customer from over 15 years.

Consumer Complaint: paid off my vehicle XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to M & T Bank and I still am unable to obtain my car title from the state of XXXX. When I purchased this vehicle, I resided in XXXX XXXX but moved to XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. When I paid my loan in full, I did not receive my title. I did provide a change of address when I moved to XXXX. I called M & T and was only provided with a lien release letter but no title. M & T stated I needed to obtain the title myself. In XXXX XXXX, I received a notice from the XXXX stating that there is an error with my title work. I contacted them via email and they advised me of the following ( see attached email from XXXX XXXX XXXX : It appears as though you brought the vehicle in from the state of XXXX and applied for registration and title, but had a lien holder on your vehicle. We produced your registration and then sent a letter to your lien holder asking for the title but they never responded. If you are still making payments on the vehicle and your lien holder is still in possession of the title, please contact them and ask them to either send the title to us, or provide us with a better mailing address so that we can send them a XXXX request for your title. If you 've completed your contract for the vehicle and are now in possession of the out of state title, then please send us your out of state title with either the loan stamped paid on the face of the title or the title along with a letter of lien release that includes:1. ) The company 's letterhead2. ) The vehicle identification number3. ) Names of all owners4. ) Signature of an authorized representative of the company. What we will need to process your transaction is:1. ) The original out of state title. 2. ) A current odometer reading for your vehicle if the model year is XXXX or newer. 3. ) A statement with your current address. In addition, they stated the following ( see attached ) : Now that you 're an XXXX resident you 're going to need to get your XXXX title produced. If you have paid off the vehicle but do not have the out of state title then you 'll have to apply for a duplicate out of state title. The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) is showing that the last state to issue title was XXXX. You 'll need to contact the XXXX XXXX about obtaining a duplicate title from their state and then surrender that title to us to produce your Illinois title. When you apply for their title, use the lien release that your lending institution sent but keep a copy because we 'll need one as well because your lien was recorded in both states.

Consumer Complaint: Manufacturers and Traders Trust ( MTB ) is a part of a mortgage fraud against the, ESTATE XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, NCXXXX. Since XXXX, I have been corresponding with MTB about the loan that was cancelled by XXXX on, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, after filing an affidavit for lost note on XXXX XXXX, XXXX .This was ten months later .Because of the time span, this was not likely to have been done in error. When contacted, MTB repeatedly assured me that they had nothing to do with the this loan. XXXX, who I believe is a co-conspirator, wrote that they had acquired servicing of the mortgage in XXXX, and had sent payments to MTB, the holder of the note. MTB wrote, they held XXXX files in their vault, but returned them to XXXX in XXXX. MTB said XXXX XXXX XXXX was the servicer at that time and that they had not received any of the payments made. Research has shown that MTB was perjuring themselves in all the information they sent me. Recorded documents show a list of mortgages XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX serviced for them. The mortgage in question, XXXX XXXX series was on the list. This can br found in BK.XXXXIN XXXX, NC XXXX online register of deeds .I have spoke with people in the lien department and they have denied having this mortgage. I was told the name, XXXX XXXX, or the address was not in their system. It appears, XXXX XXXX, XXXX and MTB, are trying to cover for each other. MTB knew all the time that this note was with them. Consumer Complaint: I have a mortgage with M & T bank on my home that I have lived in since 2009. We received several marketing letters from M & T bank via XXXX regarding possibly refincing our loan to get a lower interest rate and payment. I called to inquire about this and was told by the loan officer I was working with that I should be able to refinance my loan and save at least XXXX per month depending on what our house appraised for. They took a payment from me of XXXX including XXXX for the appraisal and XXXX for an application fee. They hired an appraiser who came out and did an appraisal that their underwriter " rejected ''. I was never notified that the appraisal was rejected. XXXX said that she called my cell phone XXXX. that is not true there were NO missed calls for VM from her or anyone else that week. She also said that I was mailed a letter, I never received it. I asked about getting any of my money back and was told I could not. They ended up telling me they could not offer to refinance my property. I feel like they just stole XXXX from me by taking an application fee that they never intended to do anything with and XXXX for a worthless appraisal.

Consumer Complaint: I recently had a very troubling experience with Mand T Bank. There 's a long history with XXXX accounts in my children 's name that was started about XXXX to XXXX years ago when they were in XXXX school. They 're young adults now. I had XXXX accounts with M and T, but the trouble is only with my XXXX minor children 's acounts. These accounts were originally XXXX seperate CD 's, started with XXXX XXXX. The starting principle was {$1000.00} in each account. These were idle accounts where money was simply " parked ''. About seven or eight years later, XXXX XXXX was taken over by M and T Bank. The XXXX accounts had grown to about {$1200.00} because of the accrued interest. At some point, M and T Bank started charging and auto-debiting {$10.00} per month from my XXXX children 's accounts, that were now M and T " savings accounts ''. I was never made aware of the charges, had no idea this was going on. No one from M and T called to alert me to the monthly drain on these XXXX idle accounts. Just a yearly " sign to keep active '' notice. My wife and I have or are responsible for roughly XXXX-XXXX small accounts in savings/checking/education/401k 's, and IRA 's with various banks. They include my wife 's ageing and ailing parents accounts, who are/were at poverty level income ( XXXX now deceased ) and maitaining their meager property, and caregiving as well. We have much to deal with on a daily basis. Although we received sporadic account statements from M and T Bank, the charges and declining balances on these XXXX accounts were not noticed. I only became aware when I saw my XXXX year old son 's name listed in the local news paper that had a listing of unclaimed property held by the State just last week, XXXX 2015. M and T Bank closed that account which I believe is now about {$820.00}. I was stunned that this could happen to anyone, let alone a minor. I am still waiting to here from M and T Bank on this matter. I appreciate any help or guidance you can give Thank You,

Consumer Complaint: The problem with M & T bank and my mortgage is simple : They wo n't take payments and have gone out of their way to increase the difficulty I have in making certain payments arrive on time. This problem started in XXXX 2014, when I admittedly was late with a payment. I did, however, schedule to have my XXXX payment take place at the same time as my XXXX payment. The M & T website indicated the payment was scheduled and no prompt from their website indicated there was a problem. When it came time to make my XXXX payment, I found out only then that I had been locked out of my account and forced to deal with another loan service : XXXX XXXX. Here, I was instructed to speak with a specific loan officer who was never in her office. Finally, after XXXX weeks, I was able to make contact. I made XXXX months worth of payments with her in XXXX day. She instructed me the loan was back to normal and should be operating in M & T 's hands. For the XXXX payment, this was n't the case as I remained locked out of M & T 's website. This time, when I attempted to make contact with the same loan officer, I came to find out she has been dismissed and I must deal with a new loan officer by the name of XXXX. I again make the payment with XXXX and he tells me the loan is back with M & T. For XXXX 's payment, I log in on XXXX XXXX to make my payment only to discover I am still locked out. I contact M & T, who only tell my I must deal with XXXX, in spite of being told otherwise by XXXX themselves. I attempted to secure more information, only to be told they would not help me at M & T. I have attempted to contact XXXX several times, leaving a message with him XXXX with no return calls. I have to make myself available to contact XXXX outside of work, school, and XXXX during their leisurely hours. As of this writing, my XXXX payment is outstanding and M & T refuses to accept any payment. This seems odd, during a potential foreclosure and asset management process that their technique would be to make the process more difficult for the person making the payments. It further seems odd as M & T Bank took XXXX XXXX in bailout funds with no intention on paying that money back. I do n't see where their lending practice could possibly fall within legal boundaries, it seems predatory in nature. They also recently increased the payments by over {$200.00} a month claiming it was for the escrow, which closed in XXXX. Not sure hot that works, but I feel it is worth looking into by somebody.

I tried purchasing a car back in XXXX 2014 ... however after realizing I was no longer interested I decided not to proceed with the purchase ... I disputed my payment and was issued a credit ... later on during the investigation my bank decided that they would honor the auto company and give them my money ... Even after I tried numerous times to prove that they sent M & T bank fraudulent paperwork and forged my signature on a receipt document ... so I feel discriminated against because I am poor and XXXX ... they treated me like trash and I 'm their customer ... they did n't try assist me or even check the documents even when I requested and begged them to do so.
