Consumer Complaint: We have " Old '' XXXX bonds in our IRA accounts. There have been some disappointing distributions. We fear that the choice of the Wilmington Trust to represent the bondholders ( we had no input ) is another political mistake. Wilmington Trust appears to be interested in drawing out the liquidation process and making huge fees from those of us that have already taken a loss. Please investigate what is going on ( or not ) with the " Old '' XXXX liquidation and distribution process. We are still waiting on bondholder distributions while Wilmington & XXXX liquidate XXXX securities that should be given to the bondholders. Order Approving Motion to Liquidate Securities, Use Dividend Assets and Extend the Duration of the XXXX XXXXOn XXXX XXXX, 2015, Wilmington Trust Company, as Trust Administrator and Trustee, filed a motion with the Bankruptcy Court for the XXXX District of New York seeking entry of an order ( i ) authorizing the XXXX XXXX to sell certain New XXXX XXXX ( and use dividend cash received in respect of such New XXXX XXXX ) for the purposes of funding projected costs, fees and expenses of the XXXX XXXX, and ( XXXX ) extending the duration of the XXXX XXXX. Consumer Complaint: I opened an account with M & T Bank last month, seeing the promotion for a {$150.00} cash bonus which attracted me to the bank. Late last month, I made a direct deposit, qualifying me for the {$150.00} bonus, which was revoked on XX/XX/XXXX ( yesterday ). After numerous messages to the bank on their website, I have yet to receive a response. Now, later today they completely closed my account with no warning. I called them and was on the phone for an hour speaking to a supervisor whom was advised not to tell me information about MY account. An identity verification was done via fax as requested a couple days earlier. I 'm forced to step into a branch that is n't local to me, which is a huge inconvenience. For an institution that 's supposed to be trusted with holding my money then closing it with FUNDS LEFT IN THE ACCOUNT, I 'm baffled. I demand a reasonable explanation.

Consumer Complaint: Due to the financial crisis of XXXX my income declined to one fifth of previous years and finally in XXXX I was forced into a chapter XXXX bankruptcy. I got back on my feet and started paying back my creditors 100 % of what I owed. My mortgage was the only thing I was allowed to keep through M & T Bank. In the spring of XXXX I was sent a package from M & T Bank via XXXX XXXX that I had to sign for. It was a pile of documents saying that the Federal Government had told M & T that I needed to refinance my mortgage to a lower rate. I called the number and asked if this would this apply to me because I was in a chapter XXXX bankruptcy. They said yes let 's proceed. They then called and said I needed to get permission from the Trustee and the Judge so I contacted my attorney who did what I asked. About 2 weeks later they called and said they could not refinance me. 2 weeks after that I received a notice that they were charging me attorney fees for asking the court to refinance my mortgage. I called my attorney and she said that it might just go away since they asked me to refinance and they were my current mortgage holder. I went on with my Chapter XXXX and paid it off. 2 weeks after paying off my chapter XXXX I received notification on my mortgage statement asking for payment of a recoverable corporate advance. When I called and inquired about this they told me it was for the attorney fees that they incurred when my attorney asked the Judge about my refinance. I do not feel that I did anything wrong here since they made the original offer. And I do not feel these charges of over {$840.00} are justified.

Consumer Complaint: This is a follow-up to case # XXXX. I read over all the bank had to say. What they forgot to mention is that they had put up the house for sale a week prior the court date. They listed our home one week before the court date that was established to cancel the sale. This is what I 've been trying to explain to the courts and the appeal courts, but it 's like they 're overlooking this.

Consumer Complaint: I no longer use my M & T account. I accidentally selected it to pay a bill online and it became overdrawn. M & T did not notify me via email, despite the fact that that has been their standard practice for fraud notifications and updated statement notifications. They deliberately chose not to use that standard form of communication to collect excessive overdraft fees. The bill was due XXXX/XXXX/15 the last time I had checked on the M & T account had been XXXX, and they are showing the bill in question coming out of the account on the XXXX, which is not correct or was outside business hours. I only found out about the overdraft because I could not see where the bill came out of my main bank account on the XXXX. I immediately scheduled a transfer of funds from my main bank account and called M & T they told me that since I was a good customer they would waive the overdraft fees. Despite this conversation which occurred on the XXXX, I was hit with a 5 day extended overdraft fee. I believe that M & T 's deliberate choice to not contact me via email when the overdraft occurred as well as charging me a 5 day overdraft the same day they told me they would waive the overdraft fees amounts to a UDAAP violation for deceptive practices. I would like the 5 day overdraft fee to be waived and for this account to be closed immediately.

Consumer Complaint: Recently I learned of a problem with our XXXX 2015 car payment. The loan is serviced through M & T bank out of XXXX NY. The problem they say is that I did not make it. Normally I make the payment in my local branch and call it in. For XX/XX/XXXX I went in and took care of the payment at my local branch office Normally I go to the branch and have them take the payment from my checking. In XX/XX/XXXX I made my payment over the phone still unaware that there was a problem with XXXX 2015 payment with a live person. Shortly after making my XXXX payment my spouse told me she received a message from the bank about this loan. Knowing I was current I did not call them back until XXXX/XXXX/15. Per this call I was advised there was nothing wrong and even talked about a pay off amount because the vehicle is all most played off. Going forward thinking everything was fine on XXXX/XXXX/15 we received a letter dated XXXX/XXXX/15 stating a problem with our payment and account. I called the bank quickly and learned they did not have XXXX 2015 payment. Shocked as I was I advised that I would check my checking account statement and ended call. After review of my XXXX 2015 statement it was clear the payment was not taken from the checking account. I returned a call back to the bank on XXXX/XXXX/15 and learned they have applied my XX/XX/XXXX payment to XX/XX/XXXX and have applied XXXX late fee 's for {$56.00} dollars. I explained that the account has never been late and I was not sure what happened with the XX/XX/XXXX payment. I also agreed to get it made up. I requested them to remove both late fee 's due to them not telling me when making my XXXX 2015 payment over the phone there customer service rep failed to explain my XX/XX/XXXX payment was getting applied to XXXX 2015 payment. I explained this was wrong for them to do without telling me and also advised on XXXX/XXXX/15 was told everything was fine. They admit no wrong and could see it noted on the account I called on XXXX/XXXX/15. M & T refused to remove both fee 's. I feel I have been treated unfair and unjust. The bank mistreated me because they did not inform me of the problem when making my XXXX 2015 payment I incurred a XXXX late fee 's. The Supervisor that I spoke with on XXXX/XXXX/15 admits they are not responsible for miss-informing me on XXXX/XXXX/15 everything was fine. I have the name and employee ID of the Supervisor that refused to remove both late fee 's

As of Tuesday XXXX/XXXX/2015 I have n't received a new card or a refund for the fraudulent charges on my account. I called and spoke to XXXX ID # XXXX over the phone on Tuesday only to be inform that a refund of this sort takes 10 business days and that M & T has sent a letter requesting more information I do n't have any other information to provide ; I 'm looking for M & T Bank to give me more information as to why it was so easy for someone to access my account and withdraw all of my money no one knows my pin number and the card was in with me how can someone be able to access my account ; I need M & T to tell me why all of their members do n't have a more secure and protected ATM cards. I 'm sure I 'm not the first customer to experience this kind of situation my question is why do we the customer have to suffer and wait two week for M & T to investigate fraudulent activities because they did n't not send all of there member a secure card with a chip when they are well aware of how advanced these scammer are.
