Consumer Complaint: M & T Bank recently acquired my mortgage. I was notified by my previous lender. I did not receive any information from M & T bank until XX/XX/2017 by mail via a letter dated XX/XX/2017. Their payment system was non-functional until XX/XX/2017, 10 days after my payment was due for XX/XX/2017. I made a payment but had to do so between website outages which were explained to me as daily " maintenance '' outages. I have never encountered any banking website or payment website that has such frequent outages. On XX/XX/2017, I attempted to make my XX/XX/XXXX payment and again found their payment system non-functional. Although it allowed me to view my loan, attempting to make a payment redirected me to another site which redirected me back to my loan information page, providing no mechanism to pay. This will again force me to make a payment late due to the bank 's inability to accept my payment.

Consumer Complaint: My debit card was stolen on XX/XX/2017 On that same date, a total of five unauthorized ATM transactions plus the fees in the total amount of {$1000.00} were taken from my account. I reported the stolen card to M & T Bank the next day and reported these fraudulent transactions. After giving me a " provisional credit '' in the amount of {$1000.00} to my account, the M & T bank abruptly denied my claim on XX/XX/2017 and re-took the sum of {$1000.00} from my account!

Consumer Complaint: I have a Mortgage with M & T Bank.Last month I wrote my bills, including the mortgage, on XXXX XXXX. My payment would not be late until XXXX XXXX, three weeks after I sent my payment. I watched my account to be sure that they all cleared. I have never been late with my payment. I called the bank, and they told my that payments go to a payment center. Then she wanted me to make a payment by phone. I told her I could not afford to make a double payment. She tried to push me into electronic payments. I told her no. She said we would wait a few more days. The check finally cleared on the XXXX of XXXX. I am pretty sure that they held my payment back on purpose. I absolutely do not want this. I want my paper statements.

M & T Bank states that no payment has been made to my account since XXXX/XXXX/XXXX although XXXX affirms payments have been received this Fiscal of XXXX during that period. M & T Bank is reporting delinquency for periods dating XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to XXXX/XXXX/XXXX which is inaccurate according XXXX records and what is beig reported to the respective credit bureaus. In addition, there is a suspense balance that resides on my account for {$1000.00} with no clear appropriation for these funds.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I paid off in full, including late fees, a residential mortgage held by M & T Bank and was given a receipt for the payment. M & T however did not record the payment until XX/XX/2017 and notified credit companies that the mortgage was more than 30 days delinquent. My credit scored dropped by approximately XXXX points and credit card companies reduced my available credit to almost XXXX. I have discussed the mistake with 5 different representatives of M & T. Depending on the rep I spoke with I was told a ) there was nothing they could do about it ; b ) I had to contact the credit agencies ; c ) It was my problem, not MTBs ; d ) I should contact the Branch Mgr where the payment was made ; e ) MTB did not maintain records of when receipts were issued for payments made ; f ) ( myl last call ) I should send them a copy of the receipt by fax. Since I do not have a fax, I delivered the receipt for the pay off to the branch manager who said that while he could not do anything, he would see that it was faxed to the department I was given, called Mortgage Customer Support. This was on XX/XX/XXXX. I waited ten days and called the Mortgage Service Dept and was told the fax was never sent. I then called the Branch Mgr who said it had been but he would do it again. This occurred XX/XX/XXXX, more than two months after I made the initial call.

XXXX started the foreclosure with out bringing me in, and when I filed a complaint against them, they immediately sold the loan in the middle of foreclosure to M & T Bank who finished the foreclosure. These XXXX banks had put a cloud on my title & Now XXXX is washing their hands and passing it to M & T Bank.
