Consumer Complaint: I was working with The Texas Mortgage Relief program. They paid mortgage that I put on backend plus additional mortgage payments making me due for XX/XX/XXXX! My loan was sold from XXXX to M & T bank! I was laid off due to unforeseen circumstances in the economy. I went from Unemployment, part time job short contract trying to make ends me as a single mom of XXXX girls. I opt out of the partial modification which was original processed with XXXX. I had a XXXX RESPA PERIOD WHICH protected me. I advised M & T I was working with and waiting on the Texas Mortgage Relief! I dont understand once my number was called and a check was issued for {$54.00}, XXXX making me due for XX/XX/XXXX why would you accept the payment XX/XX/XXXX and now want to missapplid funds XX/XX/XXXX and send it back! Telling me i was in a partial modification, i defaulted and didnt pay XXXX XXXX and XXXX! You are declined And now proceeding with foreclosure! Texas Mortgage Relief is supposed to prevent this from happening! I am back working and now you want to kick me out of my home and not accept the XXXX payment. I called customer service and confirmed M & T got the payment she said he said XXXX x you dont have to do anything else you are due for XX/XX/XXXX!!! Now today She said well we will take it but its going go towards the partial! I opt out of that! Why are you doing this to a single mom with XXXX kids! The then told me to scroll down there are other forms to help with hardship! XXXX i just got funds from an legit organization! Please help me keep my home and tell them to apply the funds from the mortgage relief! The texas mortgage relief is closed no longer accepting clients and you are going to make me reapply go back thru the process when YOU have the funds! Please help M & T NEVER SEND ANYTHING IN WRITING SAY I DEFAULTED OR THAT THEY WERE NOT ACCEPTING THE PAYMENT! THEY WERE IN COMMUNICATION WITH TEXAS HOMEOWNERS RELIEF!! Then why accept thr payment from them if I was working with them. They sent the check XX/XX/XXXX and it was received and cashed by M & T bank XX/XX/XXXX!!! They applied it to my account XX/XX/XXXX!!! I need M & T to keep the payment or if not get me to a XXXX lender!!! help me find a XXXX respected LENDER!

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX a tree crushed our house. My mortgage sold my property loan at the same time. I was informed that my Loan would now be managed by M & T Bank. Long story short we received a large check from the insurance company to start repairs and it had to include the mortgage since there was a loan in play. M & T uses a XXXX party to manage these type of funds. The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is XXXX XXXX XXXX They have a reputation for holding funds online, I called the bank to inform them I was not comfortable with using them and I was told it was not optional. Since that time it has been a nightmare, I could write a book. I have placed XXXX XXXX complaints and nothing has changed. They have to have more documentation every time we call, this has been since XXXX XXXX and repairs are held up as we are out of money and have called multiple times, requested that a supervisor call several times and they continue to need things in order to release funds. They are absolutely heartless and just want to hang onto the money while we work normal jobs and then work on the house till its too dark. We are tired and would like to complete our home and not have to be dealing with this company. We need help! Disaster victims should not be treated like this. I am constantly having to upload documents and if you call, just getting to someone is at least XXXX minutes as they try to direct you to the website several times. Supervisors never call back and when they do they do not listen or care they just want something else.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 : Notified M & T an unauthorized {$200.00} XXXX charge appeared on my bank statement. While on the call, the bank representative noticed another charge of {$67.00}, also from XXXX made the same day of the call. The XX/XX/2023 call with M & T about the unauthorized charges was made from my car, with my son, driving back from the XXXX XXXX in XXXX MD. On XX/XX/2023, my account was closed, card cancelled, and replacement reissued. I was in position of my physical card at the time of the call. XX/XX/2023 : Filed XXXX separate claims for the unauthorized charges : Claim Number XXXX ( {$67.00} ) and Claim Number XXXX ( {$200.00} ) XX/XX/2023 M & T sent letter denying the {$67.00} claim, while concluding the {$200.00}. claim was valid. XX/XX/2023 : Called M & T to protest their denial of the {$67.00}. Customers Service Representative informed me their reason for denial was " because the physical card was used ( and PIN ) to make the purchase. '' Explained that was impossible, because the card was always in my possession, and I did not make either XXXX purchases. The XXXX store involved in this dispute is located in XXXX AR. M & T 's claim my physical card was used to make a purchase in AR while I was driving in my vehicle in XXXX Maryland ( with the card in hand ) is mind-blowing.

In fact, I have been told it did process but why the credit has not posted is error. Each time, I am told call back tomorrow, call bacck tomorrow.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2023, I opened a M & T Bank checking account ending in XXXX. On XX/XX/2023 my direct Deposit payroll was deposited in the account. When the account was opened, it was offering a {$200.00} bonus when {$500.00} was directed deposited and I have met the requirement already. According to the M & T Bank Representative, I spoke with on or about XX/XX/2023, the bonus should have been given within 90 days from the date the direct deposit reached the account. She advised she would escalate this case to someone for them to review it and give me my bonus. Advised there would be a resolution in 1-2 weeks. On XX/XX/2023, I spoke with XXXX, XXXX and was advised the case is still open and I need to talk to sales to find out the status of this. I am not doing this run around thing like last time, with my M & T Bank mortgage ending in XXXX. I am demanding that M & T Bank pay out my bonus of {$200.00} that I am rightfully owed within 5 business days.. It's passed the 90 day timeframe provided in the offer terms. Consumer Complaint: In XXXX a purchase was made online from my debit card for XXXX. Then XX/XX/XXXX I received a one time text about my XXXX card saying a purchase was made. If it was mine ignore if not please contact them immediately. It wasnt mine so I opened the link on the text to call them. Which I had to do before when my card was stolen from online activity. I even questioned them about really being XXXX. So they sent a verification code to me. So I thought they were legitimate. My phone started going crazy with alerts from XXXX XXXX and M & t bank. I then realized it was a scam and hung up. I went to my XXXX XXXX which I had locked .I removed my bank card as quick as I could and locked the account again. I called the bank and explained what had happened and asked them to please block the account and not let any transactions go through. It was not me. Do not pay them. She told me I had to come in and dispute it and put a hold on the account. So I went to bank she checked the account and saw 5 charges for XXXX XXXX totaling XXXX She said it showed they did it from desktops out of state. So I filled out disputes and the paperwork needed and told her to block the account it had been accessed and my identity was stolen I would just open another account. So I opened another account so that I could still do my banking. I thought it was taken care of. A couple of days later I kept getting alerts on my phone about withdrawals. I contacted the bank right away and asked why were withdrawals still going through when I asked to block and put the account on hold until it was straight. The other bank assistant said she didnt put a block or hold on the account on the XXXX like I asked. So she put it on there that day when I called. The scam was done the XXXX they didnt pay it until the XXXX. If she would have put a hold or block on it that same day this wouldnt have happened. So they gave me provisional credit for the amounts. The XXXX was returned after investigating the fraud but their accusing me of the other fraud because it happened to me last year. Well it did happen last year and again this year. I have been to the bank at least 7 times and even a different branch twice trying to prove this. They still said all of my documents were meaningless. To get a police report and a letter from XXXX XXXX stating I was scammed that day. I have been to the phone company 6 times and called numerous times. Had to get a new phone because the scammer hacked my phone and got access to all of my information. The new number I received from XXXX XXXX was a scam number. Apparently when they hacked my phone when I called XXXX it was really them. They also did the same thing with the bank phone number in my phone. I dont know how they did this but I had to then erase all data from my phone and make sure all viruses were cleaned from my new phone and change phone number a third time. I had to have additional security put on my phone to monitor every call. Contacted police, filed a police report and still they accuse me of this and deny me. I can not believe they think I would put myself through all of this for this money that I told them not to pay because it wasnt me. I even offered a lie detector test. Then they took the credit back and caused fees taking all my money and additional fees plus the XXXX credit that the other consumer returned and overdrew the account and I then had to pay an additional XXXX extra money and also a XXXX fee from my savings for overdraft protection which wouldnt have happened if she would have done her job right in the beginning and then blame and charge me for their mistakes.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage went up {$600.00} a month due to property taxes and we paid the overages for XXXX months. The problem was rectified and then the mortgage company got the updates but said our mortgage will remain at this impoverishing amount until maybe XXXX. If we pay on what we cant afford them of course we wont pay on time because we do not have it- they are going to throw fees on top of monies that we dont owe that wasnt paid in a timely fashion. This is unfair as our mortgage is an important bill and I am the mother of twins and simply can not pay the overages just because a company is too lazy to make changes effective now. This is unfair and it is deceptive because when I was giving them the new information they told me that it would be ready by the time XXXX mortgage is due.
