Consumer Complaint: This credit card provider is charging cash advance interest on purchases made with the credit card when payments have been made immediately on the account to cover the purchase balance for purchases made by the consumer that are without grace period. Credit card company is applying the payment the consumer made for purchases that has no grace because of the existing balance transfer of 0 % APR, while carrying over a balance of the purchases made on an interest of 27.74 % interest to charge false interest. Meanwhile, the balance of the 0 % APR balance transfer is always been paid as the minimum payment provided on the monthly statement as additional payment to the payment of the purchases. This same credit card company representative had informed me in XX/XX/XXXX correspondence ( see attached ) that if I pay the total purchase amount plus the minimum payment in a billing period, I would not be charged any interest on the purchase, thus ensuring that the balance on the account remains on the 0 % APR balance from the balance transfer due on a much later date. On XX/XX/XXXX statement I was charged {$4.00} on a purchase balance which I had paid off immediately after making the purchase. When I wrote to them about that interest charge, it was refunded. On XX/XX/XXXX, they got bolder and charged me {$11.00} on the same issue, after I had informed them that they should desist from that false interest rate because I paid in full the purchases made immediately, but they rather chose to apply the payment I made for the purchases to the balance of the 0 % APR balance transfer and charged me 27.74 % on the purchase balance I had made full payment for. I reached out to them to refund the interest of {$11.00}, and to correct their fradulent system but they refused. On my XX/XX/XXXX statement, they have gone even worse to now charge me {$62.00} interest on the same issue by fraudulently channeling payments the consumer made towards purchases that has no grace period to the balance of a balance transfer of 0 % APR and charging 27.74 % in the form of cash advance on the balance of the purchases made with the intention to steal from the consumer. The reason why they are doing this and how they come up with the amount the amount that is the purchase balance that is carried over in the statement balance they are unable to explain. Instead of admitting the error and fradulent attempt of their system, they have continued in this financial discrepancy.

Consumer Complaint: I am filing a complaint against Chase Bank as they are ignoring our rights under the EFTA ( Electronic Funds Transfer Act ). I initiated a fraud claim with Chase within 60 days of the fraudulent activity. In some cases, the report was filed within 30 days of the fraudulent activity. Chase denied the claim and told me to contact Chase 's Executive Business office. I called Chase Executive Business office who re-opened the claim, but then the claims department denied it again and the Executive Business Office ( XXXX ) stated that they can't do anything if the claims department rejected the claim. {$6900.00} was stolen from my checking account to purchase Moneygrams using our debit card ending in XXXX. We had possession of that debit card and destroyed it immediately as Chase instructed. Here are the four ( 4 ) fraudulent claims. XXXX ) XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXX/XX/XXXX ( ... XXXX ) - XXXX XXXX ) XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXX/XX/XXXX ( ... There were multiple other fraudulent claims, the most egregious being XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ( ... XXXX ) XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ( ... XXXX ) XXXX XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ( ... The facts are : Neither my husband nor I, the account owners, were notified of suspicious activity on the account as we frequently receive to check funds going out of the account. When I called the Claims Department on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX stated that Visa, Chase 's policy holder will not investigate claims from moneygrams. This isn't a Visa insurance issue. Visa is their insurance provider and its shameful that Chase is sharing this information with clients. A criminal complaint has been filed with the XXXX XXXX Police Department - Detective XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX Police Department, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX NY XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. The XXXX has requested a Subpoena for my records as the bank will not release them. My husband also went to the Chase in XXXX NY to get assistance from the V.P. Branch Manager, XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). She personally took charge of this claim and sent the police report to Chase Claims on two different occasions. The third time she called, she was told they did not have the police report. I called Chase Claims again today and XXXX could not find the police report again even though XXXX XXXX has a confirmation number. I also contacted the Chase fraud department who confirmed they only handle real time fraud. She referred me to Chase executive business office ( run-around ). I have escalated this claim multiple times, no response from Chase. I have sent Chase a letter notifying them they are in breach of EFTA. No response to date. Consumer Complaint: JPMORGAN Chase, was notifying me to contact them because they needed more information on my claims. I ignored the messages because I had NOT filed any claims On or around XX/XX/XXXX Chase locked my debit card I called customer service and was transferred to the Fraud department. I explained that I needed a explanation about the pending investigations being conducted on the fraudulent claims and why was my debit card inactive. I informed them that I never placed these claims, which were bizarre, there were several submitted within a 7 day period and ALL of them were reversal requests on purchases and payments that I had made in XXXX. There was one current * my XXXX bill {$110.00}. * Why would I wait until XX/XX/XXXX to dispute financial services provided during the prior year?. I was asked if I had called in the claims.. ( several times ) my answer remains NO. Why won't they check Voice Recognition since Most calls are recorded?? The fraud dept. claims that my account was credited for all of the claims, I immediately informed the person that I NEVER received any of these so-called reversal credits. Which I can prove with my mobile app. I was sent a letter informing me that in or around XX/XX/XXXX that Chase would be taking back their funds from my account. I had {$170.00} in my account on the 5th my Social Security Disability check appeared in my checking account ( 2 days late ) within 24 hours ALL of my money was gone and I am now in the negative for {$310.00} Chase expects from me. I believe that government checks are exempt from being seized unless I owe child support or alimony. JPMORGAN has locked my account I went into a local Chase branch here in XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX asked for assistance from one of the desk employees he called somewhere the call was brief and I could tell that the person on the other end was abrupt. After the call I was informed that my accounts would be closed, and that I could NEVER be a Chase customer again and that they would return whatever funds were available afterwards approximately 10 days when their investigation would be concluded. I was a victim of identity theft ... Chase did not protect or support me as a client. I want my money back.

Consumer Complaint: Over 15 fraudulent Atm withdraws were done XX/XX/XXXX totaling to {$1700.00}. A claim was open with Chase claim department which an investigation was made and claim they were all legit transactions. I requested for claims to be reopened for further investigation, no help! Phone representative states it could not be re-open If there isnt new evidence. I went into the branch with police report, branch manager spoke to claims department to reopen the claim. They stated the same thing, unable to open claims due to no new evidence. This was sent over to escalating department over 2 weeks ago. I still havent heard back from them. I want these claims to be opened for further investigation and for my money to be returned to my account ASAP.

Consumer Complaint: Opened a Chase military banking account approximately 5 years ago wherein I was given a safety deposit box for free ( a courtesy for being a veteran so I was told ). Last week, I received an invoice from Chase stating, out of the blue, that now, without explanation, I would need to pay XXXX XXXX approximately? I sent a secure message and chase stated I had to call a number, which I did only to get the run around of call this number, and call that number and .enough is enough.

Consumer Complaint: After Several attempts to work with Chase Bank regarding inaccurate charges on my account they are refusing to remove late payments from credit report, although the account was closed before the charges took effect. I have paid whatever debt they claimed I owed and as a very loyal customer asked them to remove the late payments as the account has never been late and at the time of these " ALLEGED '' charges the account was closed. I have contacted Chase and the credit bureaus several times regarding this matter with no success. At this time I am fed up and would like to exercise my rights to involve the attorney general and notify you all of these shady practices.
